Most Hated Movies
The Last Airbender by M. Night Shyamalan. Need I say more? I really don't think I need to.
Justin Beiber: Never Say Never. I HATE JB!!!! Sorry if I'm angering any JB fans but personally I think he's a She-man. Girly voice, girly hair, girly face, girly everything. Why do you think only little girls like him?
So far I don't know any other movies I hate the most, but If I do I'll write 'em down.
Saddest/Most Heart-Touching Works I Have Viewed:
(Rated by the tears shed during first viewing.)
1. Taking Chance:
Media Type: Movie
Review: Based on a True Story: Military Movie about Lt. Col. Michael Strobl who volunteered to escort the remains of Private First Class Chance Phelps back to his home town after being killed in an unexpected attack in Iraq. Coming from a Military family, my Dad rented this movie when it first came out. We watched it together, as a family. Within the first twenty or so minutes, even my he, my Dad, was crying, which was rare for him in terms of movies and TV. It's not just a plot based on a true story. It's a plot based upon the true process of escorting a lost war hero home. For me, I lost it when the Lt. Col. Strobl was driving down the interstate in the van with Chance Phelps' casket inside, and a long line a cars pass by them, activating their headlights in honor of the deceased hero. The story isn't a one-time event... It's the process that occurs everyday when a soldier, somebody's loved one, is taken by the acts of war...
Media Type: Movie
Review: I have a particular interest in Titanic because of this movie. The movie doesn't just take place in the past, it takes you with it into the past, where women were still expected to obey their husbands like their personal slaves, and had very little say in any matter; where those with very little money are forced to look like dirt compared to the upper classes, and treated as such. However, it proves that your place in the world doesn't matter, so long as you find that one person who you can never let go of, who you will never let go of, proving that when you truly love someone, the only words you live by are, "I'll never let go..."
3. Clannad & Clannad After Story:
Media Type: TV-Show
Review: Officially one of the most saddest yet humorous and heart-touching shows/animes I have ever watched. This anime focuses on the values of family, and not just those you are related to. But the families you make with your friends. It is also about the love between two completely different people who help each other overcome many hardships. He believes he's a pathetic nobody. She believes she is almost too weak to accomplish anything. Yet, together, they overcome many things, even a tragic event that, while not too common, is still a possibility for any man or woman who strive to start their own family.
4. Stay With Me:
Media Type: Book/Novel
Review: Without a doubt, the greatest piece of modern young-adult fiction I have ever read. It's your classic opposites attract, but with a plot that leaves you almost speechless from the first page to last; the only book that leaves me shedding tears and pleading that the rest of it is written on invisible pages and in invisible ink. You can relate to the characters, even if their lives are completely different from yours. Their love is complicated. They don't know much about each other, and yet, they feel that they know everything about the other. Their love is endless. Even after the most terrible mistake, their love still thrives, even though one of them wishes it wouldn't so the other can move on. The author, Paul Griffin, slides into the average teenager's mind with unimaginable ease. Without a doubt, Stay With Me is my new inspiration to continue searching for true love, no matter what obstacles come my way. The writing is fantastic, reaching into both the man and woman's minds and putting their emotions on the page, proving that writing comes from the heart, not from the mind...
5. Romeo X Juliet:
Media Type: TV-Show
Review: This is the first anime I have ever watched and enjoyed, with an ending that made me cry. It is loosely based off William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and many other plays he had written. While the story is based off other works, together it makes its own dramatic love story. When the ending arrives, you root for the main characters, egging them on as if you're a fan cheering on your favorite sports team, urging them to get the final points and beat the opposing team. While not the greatest anime I have watched, it's truly a good watch.
