Author has written 6 stories for Donkey Kong Country, Mario, Xiaolin Showdown, Littlest Pet Shop, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, and Skunk Fu!.
Hi everybody. My name is EpicKoopalings (well, not really, but you get me). I'm young, male, and a natural writer. I have low functioning autism, but I refuse to let that get in the way. In fact, not only does it help my creative process, it also enables me to understand other writers who also have autism. I'm also a firm Christian, but if you have a different faith, it doesn't show up in my writing too much.
My interests are almost always changing (though I have a few constants) and though I may have laziness issues, I try my best to finish everything I start, shows and fanfics alike.
My favorite shows:
Lilo & Stitch: The Series, no contest. That show was EVERYTHING to me when I was a kid. I loved every one of the experiments then and I still do now (My favorites are Chopsuey and Spooky) In a way, Lilo & Stitch founded a lot of the standards I have now.
Xiaolin Showdown: I actually discovered this show when I read a fanfic on DeviantART that crossed over Disney worlds with Cartoon Network worlds (including L&S and of course, XS). Deciding to check out the show proper, I became impressed with the writing, characters, and the collectathon element. Of course, Xiaolin Chronicles didn't wow me nearly as much, but I think it has some creative possibilities.
TMNT: I am embarrassed to say that my first real experience with the franchise was Turtles Forever. Still, I love the current show and have seen every movie (EVERY movie...) While the only previous show I've seen in its entirety is Next Mutation, the '87 and '03 shows are definitely on the list!
Gravity Falls: Funny story. My sister actually liked the show first and wouldn't even let me watch it. Of course I did behind her back, and I loved it even more than she did! The characters and mystery all wrapped up into something truly special! Bill Cipher is the BEST!
Others:Star VS the Forces of Evil: It's not Gravity Falls, but it's still great. Rick & Morty: I like sci-fi and I like good jokes. Do the math. The Twilight Zone: An oldie, but a goodie. Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated: If you haven't watched this, DO IT. Oh my gosh, it had me on the edge of my seat! Why can't they do more of this?! Doctor Who: The world is interesting enough to keep me watching, but the characters and writing...a more appropriate title would be The Companions of the Doctor. Torchwood/Sarah Jane Adventures: they're...different. Torchwood is meh, but Sarah Jane has some quality to it. Mighty Med: A surprisingly good show. I really wish it had continued on its own. Lab Rats: Watched it to get caught up for Elite Force. Not really impressed. Would it kill them to have character development and STICK WITH IT instead of throwing it back in my face?! The Lion Guard: I don't care that it's on Disney Junior, I love the writing! It's also WAY better than Timon & Pumbaa. Respecting the original world aside, it also doesn't have a single protagonist as the goody-two-shoe who gets all the respect and the other as the one who causes all the problems every single dang time! DreamWorks Netflix Originals: So far, I've only seen Mr. Peabody and Sherman and HOME: Adventures with Tip and Oh. They're both pretty good, and as soon as I watch Turbo and The Croods, I'll check out their shows too. Mighty Magiswords: It's alright. It's no Xiaolin Showdown, but it's a nice little substitute. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir Video Game shows: Yes, the Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and Sonic cartoons aren't good representations of their games, but they're not too bad for me. With some retooling, maybe some good ideas could come out of them. Kirby: Right Back At Ya is really good and I wouldn't mind seeing it expanded into one of the games. Miscellaneous: Best Friends Whenever, Stuck in the Middle, SpongeBob Squarepants, Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Loud House, Bunsen is a Beast, Little Shop, Nostalgia Critic, Garfield/Calvin & Hobbes (I know those are comics, but still).
The Lilo and Stitch movies (obviously), Little Shop of Horrors, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, Indiana Jones, Men in Black, Jaws, Nutty Professor, Nightmare on Elm Street, Space Jam, and pretty much anything from Disney and DreamWorks (old and new) including a majority of the DCOMs (because I like torturing myself).
Video Games:Mario with a bullet. LOVE that series, past and present. I also enjoy stories that expand on the world and story. Kirby: I've played the new games and several of the old ones. It's really good. Donkey Kong Country: Sad to say, I have not played any of the original games yet. I have played Returns and Tropical Freeze, though. Epic Mickey: was my all time favorite for a while, but I haven't played a game in years. Really need to get back into that. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks...that's pretty much it. Super Smash Bros.: The gameplay is fun, but it's a nightmare for a completionist like me (that's why I'm not into Pokémon, by the way). I used to waste HOURS trying (and failing) to do stuff in Brawl. Wii U is just frustrating. Kingdom Hearts: Love the series, but not enough to waste my money on every single Remix that comes out every six months.
