Author has written 43 stories for Supernatural, and Firefly.
I have 4 beautiful kids that are 12, 9 (About to be 10.. and my ONLY daughter who just happens to be too pretty for MY own good cause the boys are already paying attention and I have NO IDEA what I'm gonna do in 6 more years!), 5 & 3.. My 3 year old's name is Samuel and yes I call him Sammy all the time (I also call him Samson (That'll make sense in a minute.. I'm getting there.) and Sam the man and all my kids are cutie pies!
To further elaborate why we call my Samuel (Sammy) Samson.. Samson was the Biblical character who's strength was his hair.. Well my poor Sammy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2011.. He's done very well with all the treatment and he's in remission and his only treatment is now just maintenance to make sure the Cancer stays gone.. His treatment will be over in 2014 but he will have to spend the rest of his life going back to the doctor to make sure the Cancer doesn't come back.. Now as well as my sweet little baby has done with his treatment he couldn't escape losing his beautiful curly hair and right after he lost his hair was when he got sickest and I always equated the loss of his hair with the loss of his strength.. Hence Samson as a nickname.
If anyone ever needs any help doing a Cancer fic I know EVERYTHING from equipment that's used down to the dosages of what medicines that's given (And there's LOTS of medicines.. LOTS). So just ask and I'll give you all the info on Cancer I can.
The reasons why Supernatural is my FAVORITE show: My whole family is now fans of Supernatural.. But it wasn't always that way. Back in 2008 (When MY Sammy was conceived out of coincidence) I saw just the last 5 Episodes of the 3rd Season of Supernatural and I was INSTANTLY hooked. Then I only caught a few random Episodes from Season 4.. And then another few Episodes from Season 5 (I did get to see "Swan Song." which got me hooked even further.) but they were all reruns as Season 5 had been over for some time and then I started getting curious about all the Episodes I hadn't seen. Well my Sammy got sick and ended up in the hospital for 4 weeks and the hospital we were in was a 2 hour drive from our home town so my husband couldn't always be there because my oldest 2 kids were in school my hubby was working and somebody had to watch my at the time 3 year old who's now 5 but my hubby's boss let him off for a week and my brother-in-law brought my hubby up to the hospital and they stayed in a hotel room together and there was a Supernatural marathon on T.V. and thus my husband and brother-in-law got hooked and after my Sammy was let free from the hospital we all started to watch as a family and soon we found out we have a lot in common with Sam and Dean Winchester.
We've moved a LOT as individuals and as a family.. Like as a kid I went to over 100 schools and that doesn't count all the times I ended up back up in the same school more than once!.. Our Sammy has something wrong with his blood to (Leukemia is a blood Cancer for those who don't know).. And we've had a few "Supernatural occurrences" in our lives.
Here's a few freaky things: Do you guys know all the myths about the number 23 and the number 32?.. If you do then this will freak you out!
Okay: My son Samuel IS NOT named after Sam Winchester he's actually named after a good friend named Samantha.
Samantha was in a car accident on July 23, 2009 (Note the 23?) Okay and the newspaper talking about the accident came out the next day (It's a small town) but the date was a misprint the date read Thursday, July 23, 2009 (I swear it was like an Episode of "Early Edition.".. If you've seen that show you'll know what I mean.)
Now Samantha did not die in the accident but she was in a coma and I was pregnant with OUR Sam at the time and my husband and I decided to name him Sam after Samantha (It became Samuel to make it masculine) and he was born TWO MONTHS (note the 2? Remember that) after Sam's accident TO THE DATE on September 23, 2009.
Now MY Sam's full name is Samuel Patrick Dylan LaMar (23 letters in his name.. Yeah I know it's like I was asking for something bad to happen but at this time I'd honestly had no clue about the myth)
THREE WEEKS.. TO THE DATE later Samantha wakes from her coma (2 months 3 weeks later 2,3.. Yeah freaky I know!)
Hang on Rewind: Now While I was still pregnant with Sam I'd seen this thing on Oprah talking about how 1 in EVERY 4 kids will get Leukemia and I looked at my kids and counted 1-2-3 and pointed to my stomach thinking 4 and JUST KNEW that one of my kids was gonna get sick.
Now MY Sam was a healthy kid 8lbs 7ozs and he hardly ever got sick even when everybody else in the house got sick.. But then in February of 11 everybody in my house except Sam got sick with like 3 illnesses back to back and Sam still didn't get sick. TWO WEEKS later the beginning of March (3,2.. 32) Sam started spiking a fever in the middle of the night I took him to the E.R. (It was the middle of the night nothing else was open) and they said it was just an ear infection and prescribed him some antibiotics.. Now ear infections were VERY comon with ALL of my other kids in fact frequent with my oldest when he was young so I was on familiar turf.. about TWO WEEKS, THREE DAYS later to the date Sam had gone 2 days without eating I was freaking out but had been on this turf to as stomach bugs are also common. My pediatrician tells me that Sam was probably just now finally getting the stomach bug that the rest of my family had just gotten over at the end of February and that Sam would be fine as long as I kept pushing him to drink plenty of fluids. That night Sam was copy paper white and he started breaking out in what I thought was a heat rash I later found out that the rash was Petechia and when I got Sam to the E.R. they took his blood and instantly had us lifelited to a hospital 2 hours away from our home the date was officially March 17, 2011 "Saint Patrick's Day." (Patrick is one of my Sammy's middle names.) and the next day March 18, 2011 they did Sam's first bone marrow biopsy which came back to fibrotic or dry to get a diagnosis (If you add up the date 18 plus 3 (March is the 3rd month) equals 21 then add 11 for the year it adds up to 32)
Sam has 2 more bone marrow biopsies before we get a confirmed diagnoses that it is indeed Leukemia and he's there 3 more weeks to get everything in swing such as getting his first rounds of Chemo, getting his port put in and other stuff but all important dates such as procedure dates for the bone marrow biopsies or the port placement surgery all added up to either 23 or 32 and everything was happening in 3's and 2's and 2's and 3's in patterns that kept everything at 23 or 32.. And I'm not usually superstitious but I set out o purposefully break the 23 & 32 cycles and ever since Sammy's health has been really good.
My family has also has a few really good ghost stories of things that have really happened to us such as one night back in 2005 when it was just me, my two oldest kids cause my two youngest weren't born yet, my mom and my 9 year old brother (We're 11 years apart) and we were all in our own rooms, my husband was still at work.. We ALL hear the front door SLAM! and it sounds as if someone STOMPS! into our livingroom.. Thinking it was my husband after a really bad day at work or something (I was thinking he'd gotten fired or something) my mom and I rushed into the livingroom and NO ONE was there and the doors were ALL locked and we BOTH know what we'd heard. And that's not the only freaky thing that's happened. Lived in an apartment once me, my husband and just my oldest child cause I was pregnant with my second and the doorknob starts turning and I go to look out the peephole and see nothing and the knob is still turning so I open the door and nothing and no one is there and I could feel the knob twisting ON IT'S OWN in my hand.. Needless to say we didn't live there long!
All my kids are absolutely beautiful and they're so awesome we always get compliments on how well behaved our kids are and hearing that makes me feel awesome because they are that way completely on their own.. It's not something that was exactly taught we've always been lax on discipline and so I have no idea how we ended up with such great kids as we'd really had no idea what we were doing with our first 2 and we were both young parents.. We literally just winged it and.. Well everything turned out alright because here they are 12, 9 (Going on 10), 5 & 3 and they behave better than some of the grownups I know and compared to other kids their ages.. My kids are simply AWESOME because lots of kids their ages I really, REALLY wanna strangle sometimes.. Sorry I know that's bad.. But WOW.. kids their ages can be such BRATS! I'm not saying all kids their ages are brats and I'm not saying my kids are Saints all the time because they do get in trouble sometimes.. I feel so blessed to have each of them and they're all so close they're really great siblings to each other (My oldest could rival Dean for "Best big brother in the world." because he's always been so great with his little sister and little brothers and he's so handsome (He has green eyes and super long eyelashes (He'd make a great younger Dean) and my daughter (My second oldest) is the most awesome big sister I've ever seen and we sometimes joke and call her Miss Mommy or Lil Momma cause she can be SO BOSSY she can also be really prissy and sassy when she wants but mostly she's tough (Well she does have 3 brothers!) and fiery and my alter ego in every way because she's everything I ever wanted to be when I was young. She's athletic and smart and gorgeous and popular and almost always a "Teacher's pet." (because she makes good grades and she's so well behaved.. But she's NOT a suck up or tattle tell) my 5 year old is a red head with red eyebrows and red eyelashes but NO freckles and if he'd been born 2 hours later he would have been born on the Fourth of July (2007) and YES he's EVERY bit the firecracker baby he almost really was!.. He's so cute and such a great little boy.. But he can also be such a tyrant (Blame it on the red hair!) when he wants.. which is honestly hardly ever but if he does end up getting on anyone's nerves it's his big sister's (That's what little brothers are for!) and of course I went over a lot about my youngest.. Man he's SO SPOILED.. But still really good in spite of the fact that we spoil him (He's the littlest and he's sick and we spoiled him and our 5 year old both rotten while our oldest two really grew up overnight and understood why they weren't getting as spoiled as they'd used to.) ANYWAY.. I love my family.. My husband and I have been married 13 years I just found my biological father in 2008 and found out I have a brother and sister by him as well my brother is SO TALL (Jared Padalecki's (Sam Winchester in Supernatural) got nothing on him in height my little bro is 7 feet tall!) But he's also very skinny and covered in hair so he can never go out in the woods or someone might try to take him and use him as proof that bigfoot exists! And my Sis is also VERY tall (Also taller than Jared by 4 inches!) she made me an aunt (I was so happy to have a niece!) and just recently our brother also had a little girl and so now I have 2 nieces and they're awesome.. My sister has been a huge help during the health crisis with my littlest.. It's sometimes hard believing that she's younger than me, (Also Another thing I have in common with one of the Winchesters I practically raised my brother (The one by my mom who is 11 years younger than me (I just met my siblings by my dad 3 years ago and they were already old enough to fen for themselves.. Yet another thing I have in common with Sam and Dean.. Siblings that I've only just found out about.)
ANYWAY.. AS I was saying.. My whole family loves Supernatural and I love to read and write fanfiction stories for Supernatural.. In fact it helps me de-stress from EVERYTHING and I love my husband because he makes sure I have time to do this (We consider it therapy (In fact there's several times in my fictions where Sam and Dean or other characters in my story fight.. It's usually me venting either about the screw ups in the REAL show or it's me venting about a REAL argument I had with my hubby!.. Boy it saves him from a lot of trips to the doghouse when I'm able to just write it out!) and he gets video games or goes plays Air Soft or paintball with his buddies while the kids get board games and family night.. Plus there's all these cool things like camps for the siblings of Cancer patients that go throughout the year during Summer and sometimes during weekends and fall break so we all have great support within the home as well as outside the home and as bad as things could be in our lives we are actually pulling through and doing really well in spite of everything (Again something we have in common with Sam and Dean) and watching Supernatural is just another way my family bonds.
