Author has written 18 stories for Harry Potter, Fault in Our Stars, and NCIS: New Orleans.
It has been a while. Chapter 34 of Saving Hogwarts is up. Hopefully it won't take as long next time. However, life changes and sometimes you just have to let go of things. I'm not sure I'll ever finish some of my stories(not Saving Hogwarts, that's a favourite of mine) but that's okay too. Because some of the things I wrote five years ago now appear awful in retrospect. It is like when someone calls one of my characters a 'Mary Sue', when I know, and those who have read passed the first few chapters know, is no where even close. I write characters that are human and there are not enough angry words to dissuade me from still writing.
Oh look, I'm still alive. Saving Hogwarts has been updated. The others will come when they come, as I need motivation and inspiration. I finished Grad school, guys. In record time and now I have a degree. I also am in line for another promotion at work and I've been promoted in my volunteer work. Also, the person I take care of has gotten worse. I have also been...sick. Really sick. So I'm busy. And stressed. But the stories will come. With time and energy. And maybe an act of God. But they will come.
On another note, I know I write characters who seem to be on the autism spectrum. If they seem like it, they probably are. There is a reason for this as I believe that the wizarding world is not as diverse as it should be. Too white, too able bodied, too straight for my tastes. So I have added characters from all walks of life and all ability levels. It makes my stories feel more human to me, less perfect, and I prefer that. This world I'm creating is not one I own but it is also not a canon carbon copy of Mrs. Rowlings. I play in her sand box but I use her sand to build my own castles, instead of playing with hers.
Story Archs and Settings-
The Saving arch, in order from earliest year to latest, although they can all be practically read on their own, they are set in the same alternative universe.
1. Tower Conversations (During Severus' school years. Remus/ Severus fic)
2. Coming Up for Air (Severus/ OCs George and Nico. During Severus' school years, his sixth. Complete.)
3. This Night (Albus/ Severus) (Completed).
4. In Need of Saving (Albus/ Severus)
5. Both Through their eyes and Their Lessons are set between INoS and Saving Harry (Severus)
6. Saving Harry(Severus/Albus/Harry/Tim)
Note that none of these are actually slashes, they are merely guardian/friend fics. (Although there are some hints at a few relationships, but nothing on scene for sure.)
The Saving arch is a world without horcruxes, that does not stick to canon. A world where Voldemort has been gone since a week or two after that faithful night on All Hallows. He does not kill Lily and James, but they are dead. I changed that storyline to fit my universe. You will just have to read it to find out. INoS and Saving Harry flow into each other, in a way. They are stand alones, although both might have sequels, if I ever finish writing them, but they are also connected. You just have to look for it. Through their eyes is a one-shot, stand alone and Their Lessons is a series of snapshots throughout the years, focused on Severus and the children he saves. This Night is now up and is a prequel of sorts to INoS.
In Need of Saving involves an interesting cast of characters, many of whom will continue to appear in other Saving stories. The main ones are, of course, Severus, Albus and Tim. Filius, Remus, and three OC's will have roles to play...eventually. Especially Filius and Remus. There is a series of one shots about Remus and Severus (Tower Conversations) that is now up and started. So yeah. The Saving Arch just keeps expanding.
My newest story is not of the Saving arch, despite the title. Saving Hogwarts is set in another AU world, this one a place where both Voldemort and Dumbledore are dead. (A backfired curse and a poisoned drink, respectively.) The new Headmistress has a plan to save Hogwarts and Her students. It is, very much so, a guardian fic that is quite different from the norm. Chapter thirty-three is up!
Potion's Master Apprentice is also set in an Alternative world. It follows canon, but is set in the Middle Plane or, as Albus Severus calls it, a Dreamscape. As far as I know, it is a complete original setting and plot in its own right. It is also on Hiatus.
Anything not list above, usually my earlier works, is probably canon or a poem-fic. Everything above, Potter-wise, is NOT canon. It is AU. Extremely so.
