Everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt -Sylvia Plath
Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power to that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared -JK Rowling
WOW! I cannot believe that it's been almost a year since I posted anything on this site. Let me tell you, life has definitely been changing and growing. For those of you who don't know me personally (which is basically anyone looking at this page) I kind of had this thing called a pregnancy, which inevitably eded up in what they like to call an "infant," AKA little tiny demanding humans that suck up all your time, energy, and soul, but they're so adorable that you'd do anything for them, even if it means staying up all night, getting spat up and pooped on. Yes, Ginger Sheikah is now Mommy Sheikah! For those of you following this story, or any others that I'm working on, it might be slow going for a while. Baby Sheikah is 5 7 months old and rather time consuming Writing is still my passion, but bear with me! You won't be seeing the last of the Great Ginger Mommy Sheikah!
Currently, I am working full time on my original stories. I am planning on having my first eBook published by April 2015! - ACTUALLY NO! I kind of had a baby around then so, my book will be a few years away from being published. Life happens!
About Me? I am a Texas gal through and through! At one point in my life, I was obsessed with dying my hair red, but nowadays its just sort of...brown. I am happily married to my best friend, my soul mate, the man of my dreams. I am the mother of a precocious, rambunctious, adorable little boy that thinks sleeping through the night is for the birds.
I enjoy writing, of course, reading, gardening, cooking, snow skiing or wakeboarding, and generally anything that has to do with outdoors. I love anything and everything that is big hats and flowy dresses, steampunk and antiques, fantasy and romance, nerdy and girly. My fandoms range far and wide. They go as follows, and in no particular order:
Legend of Zelda
As far a writing goes, it's one of my passions and I hope to someday have some of my original work published. I have an an incredibly active imagination. Ever since I was a little girl, stories have always swam around in my head. It was not until a few years ago that I finally took a pen to paper and started to write down my thoughts. My love for writing grew beyond just one idea, and I have branched out to start a few original stories. I draw inspiration from things that are mysterious, unusual, and beautiful. I would like to believe that my inspiration reflects in my writing, so my stories are mysterious, unusual, and beautiful. I use fanfiction as a way to practice my writing, expand my skills, and learn how to piece a story together.
My main fandom is Legend of Zelda. My favorite character, as you will discover, is Zelda. I totally believe that there is more to her than just a princess who always ends up captured, and I want to really explore that side of her. I'm also crazy about Sheik, Link, and Ganondorf. Fierce Deity Link is probably my favorite man of the LoZ series. He is full of angst and mystery. I don't know how I fell into such love with him, but I only know that there are not enough fan fictions that do him the justice his character deserves.
