Hello, and welcome to my profile. Please call me Wisteria.
You can find my original works here: atruthinmasquerade.wordpress.com
I have one work in collaboration with BolteAltamont which will now be hosted on his profile.
Current Status (April 23rd): It's been a while, but I just finished Hatstall! Morsmordre is heading into the planning stages, so stay tuned!
Baby, It's Cold Outside - A Christmas one-shot. John spends his first Christmas without Sherlock in Mary's company, and begins to move on. Sherlock, however, continues to cling to the past.
Dance With the Devil - A work designed to have as much suspense and intrigue as an actual episode of Sherlock. Donovan, John, and Lestrade investigate the Addy Snell case, revolving around a dying child who may very well be Sherlock's offspring. Meanwhile, Mycroft loses his governmental authority, allowing Moriarty and Irene to rule the land.
Hatstall - Inspired by something said on a RP site (myHogwarts). This story details the life of a Slytherin girl during the trio's time at Hogwarts. It challenges stereotypes about the houses, and will potentially span the entire series, starting from the second book.
Human Error - This details the life of an imagined daughter of Sherlock Holmes. Living with anxiety and depression, Jade has to learn to deal with her issues, while battling a demented serial killer.
Oh, King Kai! - A collection of all of my old works. Again, it was written before I entered high school, so the quality isn't as lovely as my other pieces. The topics are random, and the comedy style for it is generally very slapstick.
Radioactive - A short story, with the popular song weaved throughout it. It was inspired by a tumblr theory, in which John finally snaps and goes dark after Sherlock faked his death. It's a chilling tale, one that pulls at the heart strings.
Say Something, I'm Giving Up On You - Because I just love to torture John with songfics! Sherlock dies of an overdose and Mary dies in labor. Depressed and suicidal John, so please be careful if you read it...
Sunken Hopes: The 176th Hunger Games - The sequel to the 175th Hunger Games. 26 new tributes join the fray, on an island where the end of their days is counted down to. And in the middle of the normal Hunger Games chaos, President Gremlin has been murdered, and two Career girls fall in love. Will they manage to cling to hope and humanity, or will they emerge as empty as before?
The 175th Hunger Games - In an alternate reality, the Hunger Games continued. The 7th Quarter Quell occurs, located in the ruins of district thirteen. Praised for killing off characters methodically, this piece has a Hunger Games winner no one would expect, as well as some of my personal favorite characters.
The Real DBZ - Talk show host Jackie Tanner interrogates, or rather, interviews characters from the show. However, her tactics are extreme and unorthodox...It's worth a quick laugh or two. This is an old work of mine, written before I had entered high school, and as of such, the writing quality isn't as strong.
The Smartest One - Caitlyn is reaped for the Hunger Games, with her greatest quality being her strength. Her tale is told through a series of flashbacks and narratives, as her time surviving a perilous ordeal is told.
The Spider - A spin-off of the Smartest One, in which a sponsor attempts to purchase a victor. The sponsor is based off of Alois Trancy from Black Butler, if anyone is curious.
The Tale of Three Sisters - This one is based off of the movie, Rise of the Guardians. More guardians are chosen, and it shows the creation of three new ones. Rather repetitive description, I'm sure, but I found myself mesmerized with the beauty of it (a bit shallow, yes).
Works In Progress
Living a Lie - A spin-off of the Real DBZ, a story I wrote when I was younger. Jackie Tanner is sent to go live with ChiChi and the rest of the family. The chaos that ensues, of course, is epic. Currently on temporary hiatus. No update schedule.
The Perks of Being a Victim - This is going to be written for LonelyThursday, as a present to her. John Watson's an assassin and Sherlock is a high school senior. JohnLock will ensue.
These are ideas that will potentially be made into full out stories soon, after the finishing either Hatstall or the Perks of Being a Victim.
Future Works (Yet To Come)
Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here - Sherlock is a demon, possessing John. Potentially takes place after Season Three. Inspired by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7ftcjNQFUc
Color Me Troubled - TBC
Game of Shadows - The (hopefully) last Hunger Games I will ever write. It will detail the murder of President Gremlin, explain the backstory of the Master, and place tributes in the most frightening arena of all. The arena, really, is all that I have planned for it. This may not be written unless interest seems to be high--I do love the idea I have for the arena.
Pressure Point - "Uncle, I...I need a lawyer." The sequel to Human Error.
This Is My Design - Details TBC, yet it stars Crowley from Supernatural...
This Is War - A sequel to Dance With the Devil. I've always imagined that Dance With the Devil was an episode of Sherlock, so this would be episode two of this alternate season three.
How I did it By Jack the Ripper - Donovan was right. Sherlock was behind all of the murders.
Unnamed - This fanfiction has very vague ideas behind it at the moment. It's inspired by a fanfiction I wrote about six years ago, and hopefully, it'll show the growth I've had as a writer. It will likely involve a girl, who lived in Marleybone for a while or something of the sort, who questions if Drake is truly evil.
Unnamed - I usually enjoy torturing John with songfics, so I've thought about writing a pure, feel good romance piece between John and Sherlock. I haven't yet decided the song it'll be off of, but once I have, expect to see that published. :) It may be based off of this video:
Morsmordre- the Sequel to Hatstall, detailing the events of the third book through Alice's perspective.
I've submitted many tributes/characters to SYOT/SCYOC's in the past, but I've forgotten most of them...I'll put the ones that I do remember here.
Flick Fawley - Final Judgement by Hoprocker - 13 years old from District Eight (male) (dead)
Ruby Junko - Break the Board by Sitiah3 - 18 years old from District One (female) (alive)
Himura Katsumi - Side Luck Called Despair by RandomGirlFromNowhere - 17 year old Ultimate Debater (female) (alive)
Wisteria Original Favorites!
These are my main original characters (excluding Hunger Games stories). As you can see, I tend to use J names...All of these characters could potentially see sequel works made for them.
Arwen Holmes - Dance With the Devil
Mallory "Jade" Holmes - Human Error
Jacqueline "Jackie" Tanner/ Son Jada - The Real DBZ and Living a Lie
What even is the difference between Arwen and Jade? Are they the same person?
I'm glad you pretended to ask that question! Arwen and Jade do have the same parents, only they differ in matters of conception. Jade was born out of fleeting passion, while Arwen was born for a power plot. Their personalities reflect these differences. Could Arwen grow up as troubled as Jade? It's possible. I'm very picky about Parent!Lock and I usually only write them, I don't read them. I'm very opinionated as to how children of Sherlock would be, so it's likely you will see similarities between Arwen and Jade.
In general, I would say that when Arwen grows up, she would have a lot more confidence than Jade does. She doesn't have that type of struggle to deal with--but she does have her own flaws. They're different versions of the same person, in the end of the day, and I put a lot of thought into writing them. Fun fact: Jade is based off of the main character of a novel I wrote, who happens to be a serial killer.
Sherlock - I ship JohnLock first and foremost. I may have a story where John and Mary are a couple, but I will always hint towards John being in love with Sherlock. It's my OTP, so it always happens. I then will always have (unless it works out better otherwise) Mystrade as a couple, as LonelyThursday loves them together. And lastly, I love Irene/Molly - they seem to be a good couple. Oh, that's a lie -- lastly is MorMor. As a general note, here, I also hate Molly/Sherlock - I also hate Sherlock/OC.
Hunger Games - I ship Finnick/Annie, Haymitch/Effie, and Cato/Clove. I never really got too invested in Katniss/Peeta. I tend to try to avoid ships in the Hunger Games, as I think it only glorifies violence and then causes angst. It's much more fun to not have that as a writer! :) Though, Sapphire/Prodigy in the 176th is the exception to the rule.
Dragon Ball Z - I ship Bulma/Vegeta, they're my OTP of the show. I also ship Gohan/Videl, and I pretty much agree with all of the actual pairings in this show...I also enjoy Goten/Trunks or Goten/Bra - both are amusing.
Other ships may be added here as I write a fanfic for their fandom...Otherwise, I won't get into my politics on everything. ;)
