![]() Author has written 31 stories for That '70s Show, Sailor Moon, Witch Hunter Robin, Lord of the Rings, Firefly, Princess Diaries, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Yukan Club/有閑倶楽部. 1/17/2012 Just finished Merits of Flying and it feels kind of good to be done with one. I've decided nothing new until I finish all the posted stories... that may or may not happen but I'm trying to stick to it. I chose Merits because a nice fan PM-ed me and very nicely asked, but I think I'll pick the next one to work on by notification alert. 12/29/2011 Trying to finish some one-shots to post. 07/27/2011 Trying to get back into writing, still slow going. Will be editing some stuff in an attempt to get back into the flow. 02/07/2011 Was recently struck by a family tragedy and it's killed all desire to write. Please have patience with me. Grief is a slow process. 11/23/2010 Stuck does not quite descibe how I feel about 9 of Leaving Things Behind Us, but fits it right now. I had a final breakthrough last night and am going to try this new direction and hopefully I will be able to finish and post it ASAP. Still editing all other stories and still working on finishing all incomplete stories. 10/18/2010 Going on a massive editing spew. Over the years, I find that my writing style has evolved, and some of the older stories desperately needed editing. Going by the publish date, I will be systematically editing, attempting to complete the incomplete, all while trying to keep on top of current stories. Wish me good Luck! I’ll also be adding some stories that I had posted elsewhere to consolidate all my stories in one location. Who am I? I'm an obsessive-compulsive, mildly crazy woman. I love reading and generally love writing when I have the drive. I crush hard on something then crash hard on it. My imagination is wild and I like to hear character voices in my head when I write. So when characters can talk in my head I like to write them (that’s a bit of the crazy part). Playing with ‘What if’ and ‘What happened after’ fascinates me. I also believe there is no such a thing as an ‘old idea’ - every idea is old, every idea has already been covered in some way - it just needs a fresh new look. Unfortunately fifty percent of professional writers screw up old ideas (Clash of the Titans for example) instead of giving them fresh twists. I used to be hard core for cannon, if something happened that I didn't like then I ditched the show or the story line. But, as I've gotten older, I've found myself straying from cannon- either I'm getting feistier with age or writing in the world is getting crappier as people run out of fresh ideas. I'm inclined to think it's a combination of both. Of course there are some cannon things I like to stick to and others I like to break into tiny pieces. I am not the best writer – I rush to get stuff out and edit other peoples work better than my own. I have weakness (such as editing) and strengths (I like to think my plots and dialogue are good), but I am also still young (not as young as I used to be) and always eager to improve. I obsess over reviews and take criticism hard, but I take it, I whine about it, and then I learn from it. I don’t do fandom drama – It’s driven me out of several of my favorite fandoms already. I am not the best about updating because I am a workaholic- but having a part time job and going back to school means I may be writing quite a bit now. Someday I hope to be a published writer and to circulate my own original stories – but confidence and drive may eventually kill that dream. Now that I’ve overloaded you with information you probably didn’t want to hear – enjoy. |
