I am now 20 years old. My stories are from when I was thirteen and fourteen. Many things have changed; so many, in fact, that I am astonished I still retain the respect for my fanfics.
This website taught me the value of writing; it showed me the indescribable joy of entertaining people with worlds constructed out of words. I will never forget the friends I met, the friends I can't find any longer, but are still close to me in memory. I suspect these people are all in college, or, like me, deeply immersed in the affairs of their private lives.
I am currently studying to be a writer. A real one. It is my goal, my unwavering desire, and this website helped me to realize that goal. When I submitted my first story six years ago (the story was entitled "The Problem with Pikachu," but sadly, it has been taken down by FF.net moderators on account of the questionable content), and got my first reviews, I was hit with that great feeling of having done something good. Naturally, some people didn't like my crazy and cruel stories, but I kept writing, and my mind was feverishly mapping out ideas for new stories. I love writing stories and I knew at thirteen I could write stories for the rest of my life, if I were given the opportunity.
Be who you are and say how you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter, don't mind. -- Dr. Suess.
So, thank you Fanfiction.net, for providing me with great fun and freedom.
I will probably always be here in spirit.
