Author has written 17 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers.
Basic info: Female, 23 years old, from the US of A.
Recent graduate with a BA. Studied Prussian and modern German history. Living in Germany for a year.
Speaks English, pretty good German, a little Polish, can read French.
Interests: Prussian and German history, especially Frederick II and his legacy, Weimar Germany, the German Empire, the Third Reich, and the GDR; Polish history; the World Wars and their memory; the conception of history in popular imagination; presentations of history in drama; acting, directing, and writing for stage and screen; art/art history; music/music history; literature, especially Gothic/Romantic; poetry; film; theater; drawing; philosophy; feminism; gender and sexuality; travel; American and European politics; anthropology; environmental sustainability
Fandoms: Active in Hetalia (mostly Germancest).
Also enthusiastic about Adventure Time, Buffy, and Supernatural.
Long-term casual fan of Lord of the Rings and First Age stuff, Harry Potter, Star Wars (original trilogy yo), Star Trek.
Favorite Hetalia characters: Prussia, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, France, Greece, Turkey, Poland. (There aren't really any characters I dislike, though I have a hard time with N Italy sometimes)
Disclaimer (for those reading the Obsession series): some characters in my story are jerks, and worse. They're just really shitty human beings. That does NOT mean that I dislike the character (see: France), it just means I needed them to fulfill a certain role in the plot. And I do not think France the canon character is a rapist, regardless of Francis's actions in my fic.
Hetalia pairings I support: Germancest, obvi. FritzxPrussia used to be my other OTP but I have mixed feelings on it now (I do believe Nations would bang mortals, all Greek gods style, but still I'm cautious about NationsxRealPeople for reasons so I don't usually go for shipping fics/art of them). I also like: BTT pairings, FrancexGermany, NorIce, NetherlandsxBelgium. I can appreciate anything that can be historically justified.
Pairing I'm not a fan of: GerIta
Pairing I feel conflicted about: RusPru. I only like it in a well-formed historical context, and then only if it's one-sided or psychologically messed up.
Other fandom pairings: Wincest (SPN), Lemongrab/Lemongrab (AT), Marceline/Bubblegum (AT and its genderbent equivalent)
