I believe in many things. God. Heaven and Hell. That we have choices. That, with few exceptions, even the darkest soul is never beyond redemption. That no character flaw, no matter how tragic or deadly, is beyond help. And that magic does exist. It exists in the way Hemingway, Twain, Longfellow and others structure words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs and paragraphs into stories that have the power to transport the mind to different places and times. It exists in the characters they create. Characters that are like looking into a mirror or at your next door neighbor or friend down the street. It is my deepest wish that the stories I write pass on at least a little of that magic. And if you learn a lesson or two along the way, then it will be a job well done.
Disclaimer for all stories created by The Bard's Daughter: I own nothing but the plot of my individual tales. I gain nothing but the growth attained by practicing the craft of writing and the rewards found only in the joy of the reader as they partake of the results of the practice. I use the characters only for entertainment purposes and promise to return them safe and sound at the end of each tale.
