![]() Author has written 19 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Gundam Wing/AC, Fushigi Yuugi, Evangelion, and Final Fantasy X. Name: Siskin Age: 32 Occupation: Experienced toddler wrangler Future aspirations: Be a children's librarian, write better, publish something memorable Writing Blog: Siskin's Place. My LiveJournal is now Friends Only, so if you are on LiveJournal, send me a friends request. I'm thinking of making a new blog strictly for fanfiction topics; I'll put a link here when I've done so. Currently Working On: Outsider, Nineteen, Underlings Author Notes Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII & FFVII: Advent Children NEW - Rude Necessities: Unintentional story prompt: "Reno's...in a delicate condition." Modulation: I thought it'd be amusing to play with the idea that FFVII's Lifestream and FFX's Farplane are connected. Yes, I know that all the Final Fantasies take place in totally separate worlds. But hey, what the hell. :) Open Hands: Kadaj is in the afterlife--or the afterLifestream, as it were--and boy, is his spirit guide going to have a rough time of it... A Little Off The Top: "Guys have to get their hair cut more often because it's shorter," my co-worker said one afternoon. For some reason, the first thing I thought of when she said that was Cloud's funky haircut, and it made me wonder who cuts it. Along came this story. The barbershop is based on the real one my family went to until I was in my teens, a little family-owned three-chair shop in a strip mall. The Top 10 Reasons Vincent Loves Yuffie: After writing this story... I can almost understand the Vincent-Yuffie pairing. Almost. Underlings: Playing FFVII, I found myself sympathizing with the random NPCs at Shinra Headquarters who were cut down in Sephiroth's attack. Not everybody at Shinra can be as bad as Rufus and Hojo, and there were probably some perfectly ordinary people working there who were just trying to make a living. How did they react to Sephiroth's attack? What happened in the space of time when Cloud and the party were sleeping in their cells? The Last Train: I had the title for this one in mind before I knew who or what it was about. Then I suddenly realized who was taking the last train home. Gundam Wing Another Day: Death and much angst, be warned. I could only guess at what Duo would be like at age ninety-two; I did my best. Scilla: Gundam Wing fanfic authors spend a lot of time making Heero angst. I decided to give him a little break. Prodigal: Christmas + Angsty Heero + sentimentality. Probably not the most original combination, but I still liked how this one came out. Neon Genesis Evangelion Nineteen: What if Shinji actually went out of his mind when he saw what was left of Asuka, and the Third Impact you see in EOE, along with the whole trippy remainder of the movie, was just the product of a mind that couldn't take any more? And if Third Impact didn't really happen...then what did? Fushigi Yuugi Kishi Kaisei: I always wondered what would happen next after Chichiri screams at the resurrected soldiers who were restored to life by Mitsukake's death. The aftermath of that scene isn't shown in the anime, and the scene isn't in the manga at all, that I can find. I wondered what would keep the soldiers from going after each other again. Someone had to throw down his weapon first. Jing Ai: Some people seem to be confused by this one. In the final episode, as Suzaku is summoned by Miaka and arrives in her world to defend it from Seiryu, this is what I imagined that Suzaku might be thinking. So yes... Suzaku is "speaking" to Seiryu. Dear Miaka: This is a series of drabbles, written as letters from Tasuki's POV, that I am posting to my LJ, not ffnet. You can find this series here. Up The River: What might Chichiri have been like after the flood, but before he spent years training with Taiitsukun? Cold: Taka still suffers, remembering what he went through with Miaka... Dancer: If you don't understand this story, don't worry. I don't understand it either. All I know is that the image of Tasuki watching Miaka perform some sort of dance, possibly a ritual dance, got into my head and wouldn't leave. Firebrand: The more I messed with this story the creepier it got. Maybe it's just me. Tasuki's carried off his beatiful Dancer... whether he's going to be able to keep her is the question. Reincarnation Arc Story 2, Renaissance: Hotohori gets his memory back. Story 4, Outsider: Tasuki was a bandit in the Universe of the Four Gods. I had fun figuring out what Tasuki might be like if he'd grown up in Miaka's world. Yes, the climactic battle is STILL being written (sigh). It will get finished one day... REALLY it will... |
