Poll: Would anyone be upset if I stopped updating Offscreen Adventure? (Not the 02 one) Vote Now!
Author has written 7 stories for Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Teen Titans, and Digimon.
Today I looked at my profile and realized that I tend to type whatever pops into my head no matter how bad it sounds when I read it over later - which is probably why I'm still editing and working on my latest update. And why my author's notes make me cringe. That, and it's off to college for me in the fall. I'm sure that I want to finish my Percy Jackson fic and continue with Offscreen Adventures 02 (look for a new first chapter and summary as soon as I finish the 15,000 word monstrosity that is chapter 8), but the rest of my stuff, well... I just don't know. Complicating this is that Nigel the Octopus (my sister) and I have begun co-writing a Total Drama parody fic that will make its way to this site eventually. Oh well, if you want me to work on a story, PM me. Or review it. That'd be good.
Let's see, how do I write an "about me" section without sounding totally conceited? I kind of failed at that the last couple times. Oh well. First off, I live in Wisconsin. Again, I'm working on drawing a profile picture (don't worry, I actually started it this time) so I'm not gonna bother to describe how I look. Instead of listing my tons of hobbies, here's what I cycle between based on what I feel like doing most often: writing, reading, drawing, playing random instruments. Wasting my life on the internet is a constant. But yeah, if I haven't updated for awhile (like over a year... oops) it's because my brain either ran out of ideas or decided that it would rather have me draw for hours or read every Amazing Race recap I can find online. Usually the latter. I also play soccer and run cross country, but I barely ever actually do my out-of-season training because I can be incredibly lazy when it gets down to it, especially when it's super hot out. Despite this, I'm on varsity for both teams (though for soccer it was by default since we didn't get a JV team this year). When I'm not avoiding work, I'm actually a hard worker. It just takes a lot of motivation to get me to do things.
Oh look, a line break. That's as good a transition as any. Disclaimer: This is my opinion, if you like this stuff I'm not gonna hate you for it. Now for the kinds of stories I will probably never read (or write):
Rule of thumb for if I check a story out: Does it look like you at least used spell check? If yes, great. I'll read it if the summary is decent.
Pairings I Ship:
Digimon: Takari (although it's almost more fun to write them as best friends that everyone else thinks are in a relationship), Sorato (I'll still read Taiora, but it's not going in my stories. If you want a reason, PM me. That goes for all of these.), Miyaken (mainly because it's canon, honestly), DavisXYolei (can't remember the pairing name, but whatever), MimiXWillis (Does this even have a name? Ah well, if Willis didn't exist I'd ship Koumi, but...), IzzyXLaptop (...yeah, he's more concerned about that thing than anyone else.), Taito (or more accurately, everyone making bets on when they'll end up together).
Total Drama: Gidgette, Ozzy, Notie, Gwent, Duncney (yeah, I didn't like the World Tour love triangle. Breakups, fine, but... what was that thing?), Tyndsay, Aleheather, BlainelyXBruno, Nizzy, Coderra, Jock, Scourtney (yes, I'm acknowledging something from All-Stars happened, please don't kill me), Shasmine, SugarXLeonard, Zoke (even though I hate both of them)
And everything else (Teen Titans, Young Justice, Harry Potter, etc.) I'm happy with canon pairings. Oh, except Supermartian (after season 1), because really Conner? She mind-raped you and you're going to ignore that? At least go to therapy or something. As for MLP, well, no pairings. I avoid fanworks for it like the plague.
Coming Soon: The stuff I realized that I forgot, Total Drama rankings (I would do Digimon rankings but I don't have that kind of time, plus I like everyone; actually, that might make it more interesting. We'll see.), and hopefully FRIKKING CHAPTER 8.
