This 3 part story was written just after S3 ended. RTD had already solved all of the issues of boring TV and Rose's mortality, simply by setting Rose/Ten in another universe, running ahead of our own, I thought there was no way he would fail us. I decided to write about what wouldn't be shown on TV, all of the issues they might have as a couple. Then, RTD forgot his own solutions.

The Doctor is slowly but surely spinning apart as he tries to collect himself following the events of losing Donna and Rose. He finds himself at a loss - so how does he end up in Rose's old apartment two days later hunting down his other sock?
