Favorite Series: Slayers, Percy Jackson & the Olympians (mover over Harry Potter!...although HP has it's good points), Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist (although I'm not done watching it.)
Favorite Parings: Lina x Gourry, Amelia x Zelgadis, Kenshin x Kaoru, Edward x Winry, many others.
Stuff I Love: Anime, Reading, Singing, Tea and juice of all varieties, Praying and hanging out with God, Listening to music, Drawing, Pretty notebooks, All kinds of food, Discussing politics, TRUTH AND JUSTICE ^_^ (yeah, like Amelia, I'm a bit of a justice freak...but I don't usually climb onto tall objects to make speeches...usually.)
Stuff I Hate: My brother's pathological lying, stealing, and mistreatment of my cat, People with loose moral standards who just let anything go, People with hard hearts, Bigots who spread hate rather than the love of Christ, Twilight and other teen fads, Sagging pants, Femi-nazis, Bad grammar and spelling, etc.
Berserk Button: People who think Christians are the same as Catholics. If you think that...no. Just no. Also, if you want to make me REALLY mad, show me someone who's hurt a child.
Hello, people of the Internet! I'm just a random geek aspiring to be an author/illustrator, here to read various fanfics and upload my own whenever I feel like it (mostly in the Slayers fandom, cuz I freaking love that show.) As far as writing goes, I think I might be slightly better than amateur level, but I still have A LOT to learn. Writing fanfics is a great opportunity for me to improve in the various areas I'm weak in, as well as see what works and doesn't work for me as a writer. And it gives me something to do when I hit blocks in my original projects.
Be warned, though: my writing can get very wacky and bizarre at times. Sometimes there's a reason for it, most of the time it's just because I'm crazy. I'll usually put a warning at the beginning of my fics to let you know if it's that kind of story.
The most important thing you need to know about me though is that I'm a Christian (seriously, I fangirl over how awesome Jesus is like nobody's business.) If you don't like that...tough cheese, but I certainly don't hate you for it and I pray that you come to know how much Christ loves you.
I'm a strong believer in writers of all kinds exercising responsibility. That means that yes, you should have the right to create whatever you want, but it's your job to make sure that you're using your talents to promote themes and morals that are beneficial to the person reading it, rather than something that promotes evil as good. For example, I think it's perfectly fine to have a work that contains a lot of violence, as long as the point of the work is not to glorify violence itself and portrays the consequences of violence in a realistic way. Ya get what I'm sayin'? If you don't and you think I sound like one of the Moral Guardians...oh, well. Anyway, just know that I try to hold myself to a high standard when it comes to what my work (no matter how silly it is) seems to promote in terms of morals. Don't hesitate to call me on it if you think I'm writing something that in some way isn't glorifying to God. However, if you just want to flame me, I'll point, laugh, and delete your review.
Have a blessed super special sparkly awesome day!
Oh, yeah, and NObama for 2012! Ron Paul all the way!
