Account retired! If you're visiting here to see if I'm updating any of these stories... I'm sorry, but the answer is no. I haven't been active on this site in years, as you've by now probably guessed. I've moved on to greener pastures, so to speak. For those of you wondering why, I took about a five year break from writing fanfiction, as I was busy pulling myself out of a very steep depressive spiral. I managed to surface again, don't worry, and I'm doing fantastic nowadays, thanks. However; once I finally got back around to writing, I realized that my style is drastically different than what it was when I was still a preteen and then teen (which was my age when writing all of the stories you see listed on this profile, some age between 11 and 17). My regular fandoms are different, as well, though I still visit some of my old and true haunts. What I'm trying to say is, I've changed a lot since I was posting works under this account. I decided I needed a new face to post my newer works under, a fresh start that isn't tied with my preteen-started FFN account, where I'd write diary entries in the author's notes of my stories and be far, far to personal. (Coping mechanisms sure are funny sometimes, huh.) If you're a longtime fan (and god, all of my respect to those of you who have still stuck with me since my early days, I know there are some of you out there and you always amaze me), feel free to email me at epikalstorms@gmail and I'll tell you the username I work under now on Ao3, on the grounds that we leave EpikalStorms here in the past. I'm leaving FFN behind me officially after today, so I won't see any DMs you leave me. I'd like to say I'm sorry to end things here, but I'm actually more relieved to be doing so than sad. I'm happy to have grown up and become who I am now, though I'll always look back on my formative years here (both as a person and in my writing skills) and be grateful I had the opportunities and friendships I did. Thanks. |
