"Words Are All We Have" - Samuel Becket

I could think of so many different quotes on how or why I (or anyone else) writes, but in the end words are all we use in letters, emails, text-messaging or even talking on the phone.

I'm a thirty-something geek who got into writing pretty much when Star Wars: Episode I came out. I did do a story here and there before then - even going so far as to enter some short stories in some Star Trek 'fanzines' back even before the Internet exploded. You had to actually wait a month or so before you actually saw your story show up. How's that for progress?

Okay, about my writing: I tend to write straightforward short stories that hopefully entertains and makes sense to the readers. The genres I've written in or am currently writing in: Rome, Harry Potter, Enterprise, ST:TNG, Tron, The Matrix, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic (video game), Doctor Who to name a few.

Okay, I know there a few people out there who still have alerts linked to a few stories I've yet to finish (shame on me). So, the following is a list of the status on some stories.

1) Personal Hell - Yes, I do intend to finish this Harry Potter fic. I have notes down on the rest of the kids and some ideas I've had on what they experience when the Dementor shows up on the train.

2) Paths of Destiny - Again, I feel bad for not following up with this a little quicker, but I will be updating this soon as well, especially since we're coming up on the first anniversary of Revenge of the Sith coming out.

I also have several other one-shots (on a slew of different fandoms) I have half-finished or are only some ideas on a page. As most writers will agree, there were times I would just stare at a screen and nothing would come out. I may get the one-shots out of the way first before getting back to the chaptered stories.
