Author has written 7 stories for Twilight, and Harry Potter.
25, female, Scandinavian. I took my screen name from a comic book character.
When reading or thinking about the Twilight-series, I find a lot of holes, and a lot of information that is simply missing. My imagination tries to fill the holes, and sometimes I get entire stories out of it. So now I write them down, and I doubt all will be used, but there you have it. I like thinking and analyzing, and so my stories will likely reflect that. Don't expect a lot of action. I like bringing in all sorts of references, too. Those two – analyzing and referencing – are the reason I tweak dialogue and thought patterns to my liking.
I am a fan of Edward and Bella together. Alice is my favorite character; Jasper is awesome; Emmett is cool. My fics are most likely to center around those five, in that order. I sometimes wish to develop Rosalie's story, too; she has to have a personality that's not a part of her "bitter old hag" persona, so I might write more about her, or even Leah. I might at some point step away from first-person narration, since I always preferred third-person narrations.
I'll admit, I don't really care for canon-Jacob. I know it's unfair to judge a teenager for having a short temper and zero impulse control – in short, just being a teenager, and the wolf-shifter metaphor was as unsubtle as anything in Meyerverse - but I simply can't bring myself to like him. If there is a fic out there that makes him an admirable character, I'll be happy to read it, but in-canon he was simply intolerable.
In the spirit of Stephenie Meyer, I don't do a lot of research. I'm going by my memories of canon (regardless of whether they have been messed up a bit by the stories I read here) and occasionally checking the odd fact with wikipedia or twilight lexicon. When it comes to real-world facts, if it is important to the story that I know, say, the geography of South-America, the vegetation in a certain part of China or the details of some historical event, I will research it as thoroughly as if my grades depended on it. However, I won't go out of my way to check Meyer's made-up facts with reality. I can't really make up my mind whether to write in Meyer-voice. That's why I go a little back and forth with it.
Whenever I write HP fanfiction, I feel the urge to elaborate on Yudkowski's Methods of Rationality, rather than Rowlings original series. I love it when stories have a purpose.
I welcome criticism of any kind. I am one of those people who prefer to have flaws pointed out to me so I can do something about it. Of course, I am thankful for positive feedback too. :)
