Author has written 105 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, Rizzoli & Isles, Justice League, Lost, Smallville, Psych, and Once Upon a Time.
February 2018 UPDATE: 105 stories! Thank you for all the support! Finally decided which new category I wanted to add to my archive: Once Upon A Time.
On a side note: I got a really weird review, someone was actually pissed that I foreshadowed a CANON pairing instead of doing her/his favorite NON-canon pairing. Huh. How bizarrely self-centered. It would have been pretty funny except that the reviewer then tried to make ugly something actually very beautiful, just because she/he didn't personally accept that relationship. Or obviously even understand the basic psychological concept that personal relationships can and do change forms through time. What begins as companionship can grow sweetly and purely to become romantic love as the people involved mature and their relationship dynamic changes. Kind of a sadly ironical review for February's Valentine focus.
November 2017 UPDATE: Finally! Back to writing again after months away from the keyboard. Moving has been a touch Arkham. :) Got some more of my old ST stories uploaded, some of which I've revised to run better (couldn't resist) and a new R&I. Nice to be back.
Glad to have you in my archive--hope you like it. So far I've posted a total of 101 of my stories in 6 categories to FanFiction.net. I haven't decided yet which new categories I want to try. It's like staring at the dessert menu.
4/1/2017 UPDATE: WOW! You guys and gals are amazing! 83 stories ran 12,480 views and 11,150 visitors!! Thank you so much for joining me in the fun. I hope to add another category to my fic this month, haven't decided yet which it will be. Wish me luck!
3/1/2017 UPDATE: Last month's stats were crazy awesome! I want to thank you all for making a hard month turn out amazing, I truly appreciate it. It was rather eye popping to see 9,231 Visitors and 10,373 Views listed on just 65 stories. REALLY eye popping actually. It was fun to watch the numbers and see what was a hit and what was a miss, it helps me learn to be a better writer. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for reading my stuff! Now, I guess it's back to work writing--wonder what stories will wander themselves into my brain this month? Grin.
Okay--added a new category to my fic. I'm now running: Rizzoli & Isles, Justice League, Star Trek, Smallville, Lost, and Psych!
2/10/2017 UPDATE: I am having problems AGAIN with my original fanfic work being used, altered and/or posted without my permission by my former beta reader (kerjen) on her account here and elsewhere. Nice, isn't it? Like all writers, I reserve the right to post my own work under my own account. I also reaffirm here that I do not need anyone else's approval or permission to do so. And harassing, abusing, or threatening me--or getting others to do it for you--for 'daring' to reserve and defend my rights to my own work is actually illegal as well as it is distinctly not nice. True story.
For the record:
I did not give permission for my work to be posted in FanFiction.net EXCEPT under my own account. Duh, it's mine so it belongs with me.
I did not give permission for my story Triads to be, one, even posted online by ANYONE other than me, and two, messed with under any claims. What is not given should not be taken. My Triads is not a "very rough draft", it is not an "alternate" to any story (especially one that it preceded, for obvious time concept reasons), and again, no, I did not "give" it to anyone to screw with.
Also again, I will always reserve the right to my own work because it is, shocker, MINE.
I strongly encourage every writer out there NEVER to let anyone have access to your archive or files. People change and you can't count on friendship, love, or even honesty and good manners. Yes, you too can have the comic book 'canon' moment of having your bestie become your archenemy. Complete with henchmen and battles.
As this definitely isn't the first time me or my work has been abused by her, I doubt it will be the last. Sadly.
So, again, my work is mine and I reserve my right to keep it, post it, etc. as I see fit, with my own name always noting credit of creation. I do not give permission for anything else by anyone.
I really miss the woman I thought my friend was.
Now, a happier note: Added a fourth category to my fics, now I have the following sections: Star Trek, Rizzoli & Isles, Justice League and Lost. YAY!
UPDATE FOR 2017:
Okay, it's been over three years since I've written fanfic. Life sort of mack trucked me with some deaths of family, some near death moments (me), some serious illnesses (also me, it's been fun). I've also had some personal psychos, actual villains, and even the appearance of my own archenemy with assorted henchmen and clever plots and public turn-on-the-hero manipulation stuff--you know, the types of experiences that occasionally makes real life run like the movies. Now I'm starting back in. I'll be uploading a lot of fanfic over the coming days/months. Some of my stuff was previous published without my permission here under my former beta's readers account (Kerjen) and also on her sites (namely Triads), so please note that HERE is where it actually happily belongs.
Hope you enjoy.
I must send out a thank you to everyone out there for all the help and encouragement I've had through the years in writing--here's to all you guys/gals, toast! Fanfic has the awesome ability to let us play in each others' worlds--I think that is what makes it so much freaking fun.
Oh, I should note that so far I've got three categories of fanfic uploaded here: Star Trek, Rizzoli & Isles, and Justice League. I'll be adding more categories as the months past and the whim takes me. I'm noting below my fanfics in each category, some obviously aren't HERE yet, but you can read them online elsewhere.
So far I have 101 of my stories posted here in 6 categories!
The categories of fan fic that I'm running here and how many of my stories I have in each one with their names, are as follows:
Again, not all of my Star Trek Spock/Saavik writing is listed here under my own pen name (khiori)--some of it is actually listed here under my previous beta's (kerjen) without my permission and some aren't up here at all, yet. Yeah, I know--evil! But, since I'm already working on getting them all into my own account here, I decided to just work my way through my files and give them all rewrites as I do it. Eventually. SO, be patient, Grasshopper, or go to www.kerjen.net or www.spockandsaavik.com , just look under 'Marla' or 'Khiori' to find most of them.
Obviously, some of these have characters I created, some have characters I've borrowed (with previous permission and happy blessings when they were originally written) from other fanfic authors (like my former beta Kerjen--whose account here I still recommend you go read--as well as her websites I've noted above because even though she'd love to kryptonite me now, it's good stuff and I'm woman enough to tell you that) and all have ones I've borrowed but never claimed from the official canon of the ST universe owned by Paramount. Duh. This is FANFICTION after all.
Here's the list of my 60 currently posted here ST stories, most are completed works, but some are in progress (chapter stories):
Blood and Gold
A Captain's Gamble
Tabloids, Duty and Love
Suitable for Royalty
Just a Typical Shoreleave
Stranger Than Fiction
Survival By Any Means Necessary
A Family Moment
Saavik's Will (the story I'm posting here is MY original titled Nine Lives original story, which I later renamed to S'sW. There is also a later beta I did with my former beta under Kerjen)
Writer's Block (a bit of silliness once written for my former beta Kerjen, whose day had sucked)
The Next Introduction
The Challenge (this is MY original story, for the later beta version I did with Kerjen, see her website)
Visitation (written entirely in dialogue only)
Muddied Treasures (REALLY rewritten here from my first posting online, I like this one way better)
The Babysitter (To catch the fun of this, you really need to read Quality Time first)
Quality Time (my first fanfic posted online, the one that got me going into fanfic, and one written entirely in dialogue only)
The Way of Surak
A Fool's Game
A Crown of Thorns
Flight Not Delayed
Now, for anyone reading this stuff, please remember that it is often S/Saa (Spock paired with Saavik)--so if you don't like that pairing, for the love of little green apples, don't read it! And if you really want to snark at me in my reviews to claim that the pairing isn't 'canon', I would remind you sweetly (and wickedly) that, actually, it is. If this rocks your world, I strongly suggest that you track down some of the pro novels that show their relationship progression from ward/student and teacher to wife/husband. I recommend: The Pandora Principle by Carolyn Clowes, Just A Little Training Cruise by A. C. Crispin (short), Star Trek II, III, and IV by Vonda N. McIntyre, and Vulcan's Heart by Josepha Sherman and Susan Shwartz--obviously, there are more books, like more of Sherman/Shwartz, etc., but a search on www.amazon.com with 'Saavik' will pull up a bunch, so I'll save myself the time listing them all!
Please also note, that I write with Kirstie Alley in my head as my Saavik, so feel free to go watch ST II: The Wrath of Khan to see her loveliness! :)
Again, I only created some of the characters in these fics--this should be rather obvious as it IS fanfiction.net--so some were created by the official ST world owners, some by ST pro novel/story writers, and some by other fanfic writers as noted. Not that this diminishes the fun in writing in any way, but just so the very obvious is stated. AGAIN for the not so bright, apparently, who might somehow have missed this the other previous times I've mentioned it.
Rizzoli & Isles
These stories have characters from the R & I television series. Naturally.
I'm really fond of these two ladies, Jane and Maura--writing them is pure fun. And, yes, the dessert Maura is making really does exist and is delicious. Especially at three or four in the morning. With a best friend who doesn't mind being woken up at an unnatural hour for cake and chocolate and talking. I didn't create any of the characters in these fics, sadly, but I get to play with them here.
There are currently 27 of my R & I stories here, all of these are completed works:
Doing Someone In
Why Jane Hates the Morgue
A Detective's Anger
Why Movie Night Has Rules
Jane Liked To Think
It Wasn't That Kind of Shower Scene, Honest
Jane Babysits Bass
A Detective's Mother
Of Traffic and Trees
Waiting On Maura
Evolution May Not Survive
A Present For Maura
Rondo's Not So Lucky Day
Greetings From San Diego
Maura Was Once Jealous
Frost Would Have Understood
Rondo Gets Mothered
It Wasn't Glamorous
Forgiving Her Father
When It Pours
These stories have characters from the DC Universe. If you don't know that--well, that's just plain sad.
I'm a HUGE comic fan. (Although I will confess a horrible secret: I don't collect comics for investment, I collect them to READ. Blasphemy, I know.) My favorites are the ladies as I feel that they are generally written more interesting and identifiable than their male counterparts. And I'm a female, so I naturally sort of identified better with the girls. My grandfather and father prefer Marvel. I'm Justice League. Weird, I know, how did that get past the genetics? Although I'm a fan of Marvel movies/tv--and a certain Jade Amazon's comics. The characters I most love in both DC and Marvel are: Wonder Woman, Huntress, Power Girl, She-Hulk, Hawk Girl, Zatanna, Scarlet Witch, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. This is a category of writing that I've loved the longest but am only now (2017) daring to try and write. Wish me LOTS of luck here. And mournfully, I have created no characters in this category--they are DC's babies. But I feel really cool when I get to babysit them anyway. :)
There are currently 11 of my JL stories posted here, all of these are completed works:
Girl, Where's My Cat?
A Little More Street Magic
A Moment of Magic
These stories are from the Lost t.v. series--any characters belong to them.
I really enjoyed this series--it had such a fun twist with the old whole 'lost on a deserted island' thing. My favorite character was the French woman, Rousseau.
There are currently 2 Lost works posted here, these stories are complete:
A Tropical Island Paradise
These stories have characters from the Smallville television series.
My favorite character in this series is Zatanna, I recommend you go to Amazon and do a digital purchase of the episodes Hex (season 8) and Warrior (season 9). If you're into the comics, there are a ton of fun little bits scattered throughout both. Sure, the series is a bit angsty, popcorn, and dated. Still's fun though. Though I'm not a fan of Lana. Unfortunately, I've had someone in my life like her and I can see why Clark went with Lois. Though he really would have been smarter to pick Chloe.
There are currently 3 Smallville works posted here, these stories are complete:
Grant Me My Wish
These stories are from the Psych t.v. series--the hilarious characters here belong to them.
One of my favorite goofy shows. I love witty dialogue with a good smear of cheesy goodness. And yes, you really should be eating Red Vines to set the correct ambience.
There is currently 1 Psych work posted here, this story is complete:
Gus Understands Thor
Once Upon A Time
These stories are from the OUAT t.v. series.
I think the first season is my favorite, before Disney got all heavy handed with it. Regina is definitely my favorite here. Her poignant suffering as she struggles to change her life is truly human and entirely realistic. Forgiveness, mercy and hope aren't easy to actually apply. Especially to yourself.
There is currently 1 OUAT work posted here, this story is complete:
