I have been reading fanfiction since I was a teenager in middle school, over 20 years ago now. Back in those days, we used to print them out on computer paper, three-hole punch them, and put them in binders to share at school. As we got more sophisticated, we would painstakingly copy/paste each chapter into a Microsoft Works document, and then email each other the stories, so we could split up the time-consuming work of copy/pasting. Reading offline was a must, because we could only use the Internet for an hour or two at the public library, or late at night when the dial-up wouldn’t use up the phone line. Clearly, I was a file-sharer from a very early age.

Over the years, I’ve turned to fanfiction whenever something has caught my interest. Gundam Wing. Sailor Moon. Firefly. But I only got inspired to write when I watched the one and only season of Earth 2 and was devastated by the cliffhanger ending. Sadly, because of life and the fact that I need to do better research to write science-fiction, my Earth 2 fics are currently unfinished. I wouldn’t call them completely abandoned, as there is still the chance I will finish them one day. But as with any of my stories, if you are inspired to write something or continue something, or write it differently, you are welcome to try. Don't wait for me to finish something I might never finish.

Obviously, I don’t own any of the copyrights to the worlds and characters I am using in fanfiction, though I will actively try to take down works that are plagiarizing my stories. But if I like what you write, especially for a story I haven’t finished myself, I'm happy to favorite it and recommend it to others.

The same with TRANSLATING. Please contact me before you begin translating, as I like to be part of the process and I do have some conditions, but I’m happy to allow various translations of my stories.

Anyway, then came Hunger Games. And that led me to Harry Potter and the Dramione fandom. Dramione is my absolute OTP, and despite having never read the books or watched the movies (at the time), I fell head over heels for this incredible pairing. I couldn’t get enough. And that meant…that I would end up writing it. My favorite site for publishing Dramione is Hawthorn and Vine (dramione dot org), and I hope that the site becomes active again one day.

In the meantime, you can see all of my works on FFN and on A03. My A03 penname is the same, Maloreiy, and it is the ONLY place you can find my Explicit-rated works. My A03 stories are locked to registered users, so you must be logged in to access them. (Descriptions of these stories are below.)

Dramione is where most of my soul is, but because I participate in several writer/fandom groups on Facebook, I sometimes write other pairings as a result of competitions or fests. I do not take requests, and I choose which competitions I am in very carefully.

My other favorite ship is Reylo, and while I will be writing stories for this ship in the future, I have no definite plans on when I might be publishing anything.

I am very heavily into watching Chinese dramas right now, and will occasionally feel inspiration to write something related to some of the fandoms. I do have some plans for some stories based on The King's Avatar.

I am determined to no longer publish Works in Progress, other than the ones that are already currently published. When I write a new story, I try to make sure the story is entirely finished before I begin a publishing schedule. So this is one reason why I might go for many months (years) without publishing anything. Please check the status of my stories as listed below, and assume that whatever I said about them last is still valid.

I do try to respond to every review. I respond to every review on H&V and on A03 because they make it easy to post the response to each review, whereas FFN requires you to send them a private message. On FFN, I respond to all reviews, except for Draco’s Bad Day, simply because it’s been so long since I’ve been posting and I haven’t responded to any of them thus far, that it’s a bit of a daunting task to figure out where to start and be fair. I plan to do responses at the end of that story. All other stories, I respond to the reviews. And I will continue to do that unless my stories become so popular that responses become a burden. In the meantime, I love hearing from my readers. I’m an author that welcomes constructive criticism and a dialogue about my stories.
