Author has written 5 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Torchwood.

So, um.

I live in Canada. Second coldest country in the world. Also the second biggest. And look at that, the coldest is also the biggest.

I hula hoop dance, practice contortion, and have an unhealthy obsession with science and hedgehogs.

Oh, and I like spouting random facts. For example, if you dropped a rock the size of you head down a hole to the centre of the Earth it would take 40 minutes to fall.

My favourite authors are: J.K. Rowling, Neil Gaiman, Scott Westerfeld, and Libba Bray.

My least favourite is Stephanie Meyer (surprise, surprise)

Other than that, Doctor Who rules over my life. And I mean it really rules over my life. It actually makes me a little sad and embarrassed.

This account was actually created for the sole purpose of trying to improve the writing here. I come up with many stories, although most of them are all original and therefore do not have a place on this site. That was my original intent, however I still seem to be posting here, so who knows. Each story published has a chance of being my last. Most of what I write turns out to be complicated and incoherent, understandable only if your mind works exactly as mine does. So basically what I have posted is the tip of the iceberg. But yeah, don't count on me to be around often. (Updated 12/10/13)

Important Update Concerning Avoiding Cliches like the Plague (19/10/13): I probably will review Avoiding Cliches like the Plague after The Blood of Olympus comes out and make appropriate adjustments to the tips, politics, advice I no longer agree with, and character development. For now, do yourselves a favour and remember that it was written and partially published before The Son of Neptune even came out, so don't bother writing that review telling me about something that Hazel said in Mark of Athena or something.

In chapter 9 of Avoiding Cliches Like the Plague, I mentioned a test to help identify Mary-Sues. The link didn't appear in the story, so here's the test:

Update 12/10/13: Turns out that link doesn't work anymore. If you can find that test on another site, please tell me, because I'd love to have it back.

Thanks for checking this out.

L'enfer, C'est les Autres reviews
Tartarus was where the worst of the worst went. It was a place that returned a stab wound for every pinprick committed. It was a place that was a whole lot worse than some acid rain and monsters spawning. Tartarus was designed to crush you, and it certainly did a good job of it. (Short alternate version of Tartarus based around psychological torture.)
