9/22: Tonight I learned that Dusty by YellowBella was stolen and published. Not only am I heartbroken and enraged for both Sarah and Mary but I'm also alarmed.
I'd like to make it clear that while recognizable character names belong to Stephenie Meyer, the stories you read here (plot, word structure, and original characters) belong to IReen H. aka Aja Barragan.
I reserve the right to rework and publish all fanfiction currently posted under my name. Be aware that I will take legal action if you steal from me.
I appreciate your respecting the hard work I've put into writing and my wish to retain ownership of my creations. Thank you. AND, because I know that this message actually only applies to the very rarest of scummy individuals, I want to thank those of you that read my work and encourage me. I know that you are the majority. Again, thank you.
THAT SAID! Back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by. I've updated my profile because my crappy attitude about HEA's was freaking some people out. I definitely love an HEA! Please don't be scared of me! :D
My name is Aja (pronounced "Asia") and I live in Cali. Formerly a lurker. I love all things ExB. Honestly, the Twilight series was OK, but then I SOMEHOW got sucked into all the fan fiction and I LOVE it. It's like playing with paper dolls, these gorgeous likeable characters can be dressed up in anything you can draw. And then, of course, they can be undressed. ;D
My personal tastes run to the macabre. I love well done angst, the slow burn, the unrequited, the misunderstood. I like fiesty heroines and reformed assholes. *See High Fidelity
I write steak. Thick and messy and bloody and partially raw and heavy. It must be true because the ksdfjalksdjfcredible WhatsMyNom said so. We don't argue with her because - have you read The Best I Ever Had? 'Nuff said.
I am on twitter- Come yammer at me. Come shake your head at some of the things I tweet. #IrrelevantNonsense
My stories, in brief:
Someone Like You
Someone Like You has a few song recs. I highly recommend all early Doris Day, particularly "Someone Like You." Anything from that era would be a solid fit. Dean Martin and Peggy Lee are quite nice. This is not a happy story - you have been warned!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a mature story about messed up individuals. They do sketchy things and are likely going to hurt each other, more than once. It's my first multi-chap so bear with me and thanks for reading!
The Black Queen Vignettes
I started this witfit when I lost my job... I didn't realize I would land another, better one so dang fast. But - because I still have this story burning like crazy in my brain... I will be writing The Black Queen starting in May.
What can I say. I am overwhelmed. Thank you.
