I'm best known as a role-playing game author, and publish the Forgotten Futures RPG on line and on CD-ROM. I write fiction when I'm feeling blocked in my other writing. See and for more about the game and the FF library of Victorian and Edwardian fiction, articles, and illustrations. I'm also the author of the Diana: Warrior Princess RPG published in print by Heliograph Inc., and as a PDF distributed by

I'm finding most of the fiction I like on FanFiction.net by looking at the favourites list of reviewers and the authors I read here. Please keep a favourites list, even if I'm not on it! And please take a look at my favourites list, there are some excellent stories there. I should mention that the list doesn't include all of my favourite stories on ff.net, I'm mainly using it to track works in progress, and completed stories (and stories which seem to have "died") are occasionally taken off to allow me to add others.
I don't usually reply to reviews unless they make an important point about a story or raise matters that need to be addressed in future installments, but I always read them. I'll reply to questions if you ask them, but it's probably better to do that in e-mail rather than a review. I will delete any and all spamming reviews, and permanently block anyone who leaves one.
See for the Pirates of the Caribbean challenge mentioned in my story Arr!
As of August 2006 I've recently completed two new PDF game releases; Elvis: The Legendary Tours is a supplement for Diana: Warrior Princess, and combines music, action, and more bad TV parodies. The Original Flatland Role Playing Game is based on Edwin Abbott's classic book, a world where characters are supposed to be two-dimensional, and is sold in aid of Doctors Without Borders. Both are available from
I seem to be a lot less blocked for games design than I was, and I'm afraid that this probably means I'll continue to write less fanfic. I'm NOT abandoning any of the ongoing stories, but probably won't be updating often.
Update, July 2008 - I've recently completed Forgotten Futures X, based on the novel Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton, and it will be on line at the end of August. However, I'm already looking at Forgotten Futures XI, to be based on the SF of Stanley Weinbaum, and hope to start work on that immediately. This means that I still probably won't be doing much fanfic writing in the foreseeable future, though I don't plan to give up entirely.
Likes and dislikes: I like unusual crossovers - for example the world really doesn't need any more HP / BTVS, and some of the other crosses are also getting to be a bit stale. I'm not interested in anime and don't know the characters, and will run a mile from anything concerning the Halloween episode and Xander choosing a different costume...
Update October 2013 - I've discovered that Gmail has been deleting some (but not all) reviews and personal message notifications from fanfiction.net as spam. I've checked messages but can't really check every story and review - if you were expecting a reply to a review comment this is why it hasn't happened.
