Author has written 2 stories for Brütal Legend, and Warhammer.
Hi guys! I'm Korpsman of Krieg, otherwise known as Scott.
To start with, I'll talk about music! I'm a huge metalhead, and particularly enjoy melodic death metal and power metal, though I first got into metal through thrash and will always have a soft spot for it. I'm also an avid listener of video game/film scores, electronic music (particularly trance music and heavy dubstep), country music and Japanese traditional music.
In terms of my love of literature, the first book I really loved was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and as such the Harry Potter books hold a special place in my heart as do the fanfics I read. My favourite characters are Fred and George, because they are delightfully insane and always good for a big belly laugh or two, and Luna, because she's a sweetly odd and whimsical girl who has a unique look on life, and I can identify with her in many ways. I give special mentions to Hermione, Sirius and Harry himself. My favourite pairing is Harry/Luna. I think Harry's very grounded and down to earth personality works well with Luna's free spirit. Back to the topic, I love many other books aside from Harry Potter; mostly Warhammer 40,000 fluff (but we'll hit that subject later) but also a lot - and I mean A LOT - of sci-fi and fantasy.
And here's my most defining interest at the moment - WARHAMMER! I'm greatly into Warhammer 40,000 as my name would suggest (taken from a regiment of the Imperial Guard, oddly enough called the Death Korps of Krieg). I collect over four armies for 40k - Chaos Space Marines (my main love), Imperial Guard, Dark Angels and Chaos Daemons, and I intend to start a few more armies as well (looking into Blood Angels, Orks, Tau and Dark Eldar). I think that the Warhammer 40,000 universe is THE most detailed and excellent science fiction background ever written, not because it's fancy and whimsical like Doctor Who (my favourite television programme actually) or Star Wars, but because it's the opposite - it's bleak, depressing and GRIMDARK. Also, with the way the world is changing, a future where an entire galaxy is plunged into war is sadly likely. I have a large number of books for all the fluff of the 40k universe, but wouldn't trade them for the world (unless Emma Stone offered herself to me naked covered in baby oil). I'm also very interested in Warhammer Fantasy, but I'm incredibly indecisive about the army to start with; I've settled on Beastmen, but uncertain of the other armies I shall field as well.
I'm quite the hardcore gamer as well, owning a PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS, though the only games I've been playing recently are Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (surprise surprise) and Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team (SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER) on PS3, and Diablo III on PC (shit's fun and addictive; PM me if you want my Battletag and I'd be glad to play with you; I've got a Paragon 23 Barbarian and a level 52 Witch Doctor).
I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do, I watch mostly old comedy (my favourite programme of all time is Red Dwarf) though if a programme takes my fancy, I will watch it; which is why I enjoy everything from Doctor Who, and Fraiser, to Torchwood and Beavis & Butthead. I don't pay much attention to current TV though, so don't expect me to be a human encyclopaedia on freaking Jersey Shore, because reality TV and talent shows make me lose faith in humanity.
I'm a total movie buff, and really geek out over (for obvious reasons) the Harry Potter movies, Star Wars, the Blade movies and anything to do with George Romero; AKA the Zombie King. I watch mainly zombie horrors, gross out and stoner comedies (I dare you not to laugh at Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back or Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay). MY favourite movie of all time is Snatch, it's just the perfect marriage of British gangland violence and uproarious comedy; this is closely followed by V for Vendetta, Shaun of the Dead, Van Helsing and the Warriors. I watch a lot more movies as well, but I really cannot remember all of the DVDs I own, so PM me if you're actually interested in a 16-year old's DVD collection.
Some miscellaneous facts about me and my life before the end: I have an autism spectrum disorder called Asperger Syndrome. I am an atheist, though I will never try to change someone's beliefs, because it isn't my business. I play the guitar and have done for the past 4 years, though that interest has waned recently as my desire to play at all has left me. I'm an avid CD, cassette tape and vinyl record collector - my prized possessions are first print LPs of Live After Death by Iron Maiden, Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre and Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. My hair is nice and long and down to my shoulders and blonde and other random stuff. And, I idolise Stephen Fry.
Ooh, ooh, ooh! I also have a fanfiction out, about the video game Brutal Legend, which sadly I won't update regularly. I will probably write more when I'm more confident of my ability as a writer (but I do have over 8 chapters saved up, which I WILL eventually upload, I promise) *UPDATE* I have discontinued this fanfic sadly, just lost all inspiration for it, and looking back my writing skills were AWFUL, but I will post those chapters I've finished on request. I'm writing the backstory for my Chaos Space Marine army, and will post the prologue to it very soon - today even. It is completed, but will upload in daily installments, maybe more if I'm in the mood or the feedback is good.
Goodbye, PM me if you wish, and remember: In the grim darkness of the grimdark grimdark, there is only GRIMDARK.
