"Write hard and clear about what hurts." - Ernest Hemingway
I suppose if you're reading this, you would like to know a little bit about the person whose writing you are currently reading, or considering reading. So, here it goes,
Location: The South, USA
Age: 19, sophomore university student majoring in English Creative Writing
Hogwarts House: Slytherin, *Snape voice* obviously...
Random Facts About Me: I do absolutely ridiculous things so that I can describe them correctly in my writing. (Ex. Jumping out of my bedroom window, trying to cut though rope with broken mirror, seeing how fast I can untie myself, burying myself in the dirt and leaves, and once I even tried to sword fight a tree.) I am 100% Slytherin all the way. Ambitious. Cunning. Merciless unless kept in check by my friends. A little proud and a little misinterpreted; I guess it comes with the territory.
Ummm yeah that's all I got...
"One must always be careful of books and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us." -Theresa Gray
My ships: I'm on board with most canon ships of my fandoms, but there is one ship I go for that is not at all canon. Dramione. I love Ron and Hermione together canonically, but I also love exploring the possibilities of Dramione. I write a lot of poetry about them because I find myself constantly discovering a new angle of emotion surrounding their feelings for each other. They fascinate me as a couple. I guess I'm a sucker for the star-crossed.
About My Story: Harry Potter. The title is Now You See It (previously Never Surrender). Aislyn Longbottom's life started out to be different. Growing up in the shadow of a war spoken of only in whispers, Aislyn feels the unspoken pressure to make her family's name proud. When she goes to Hogwarts with her twin brother, Neville, things begin to spiral out of control. She makes the wrong friends, gets sorted into the wrong house, and basically becomes the wrong person. With things constantly showing up from the past, Aislyn begins to question everything. She begins to relive the first war of her parents' generation at the same time as she is being dragged into the middle of the ever-brewing second war. She soon discovers how many secrets have been kept from her and sets out to discover her own history in order to understand her future. Powers arise, friendships break, loyalties form...all in the company of familiar faces. years 1-7
My other two former stories. Radiant Warrior and Cursed Blessing, will eventually get put back up but they are currently under extreme revision.
