![]() Author has written 35 stories for How to Train Your Dragon, Web Shows, Rise of the Guardians, Star Wars Rebels, Pucca, Radio Dramas, Harry Potter, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Merlin, and Voltron: Legendary Defender. New profile. Noice. You know, I think I'll always favor FFnet over AO3 for no particular reason, even if most of my reading now takes place in the latter. Spite is still my main motivator. I think I've forgotten enough about HTTYD to make a modern fic without completely retelling the movie in a modern setting. That's always a problem with me. You know that tumblr post about the kid who could watch Shrek in real time without actually watching it? That was me with How To Train Your Dragon, though listening to the film score every day was definitely not helping. Favorite fandom update: Moomin (the 90s version, actually) - I'm watching both the new one and the 90s anime and even though I like Moominvalley, I adore The Moomins. Moomintroll is the sweetest child, very adorable, 10/10 Steven Universe - I've been on this for years. Since the first episode with Lapis came out. I really love character like Steven in his earlier years. Just absolutely adorable and a little annoying, with much learning to be had about the world. I'm a little sad it's ended and he grew up, but I'm also glad it's finally over. He deserves a break. I don't read much fanfic though. BBC Merlin - I don't think I'll ever be over this one? It's been too long, it's on the same page as HTTYD. Lifelong habit has been formed. YouTube has kindly reminded me that the fandom never died lately too, but it's not like there isn't always a tab open to a Merlin fic in my phone anyway... Camp Camp - I appreciate good ol' Dadvid, it's great. Also, I went on a hunt for some reverse (MaxDad?) and found two new favorite fics. Only two though. In all of AO3. I thought I'd find more. At least they're both well written! Put That Kid Down is still an all time favorite. Maybe because Daniel gets thrown in a volcano? Gravity Falls? - I put a question mark here because while I ship canon Mabel and Pacifica (which is, sadly, not canon), I mostly read Bipper stuff. There mostly only is Bipper stuff. Have you ever read a bipper fanfic and then watched an episode of GF? It's a rush, I gotta say, you start to wonder wtf the person writing the fic was on, but then you realize you're quite addicted to these bipper fanfics. Fandoms have power, man. And really good writers. The Last Kids On Earth - Seen it on Netflix? I have. I'm holding myself back from getting the books. Jack is definitely off his meds, but he's still so goshdarn sweet, I wanna squish his cheeks. He's really good angsty fanfic material, and those do get that heart pumpin'. What do otaku call it? Moe? How To Train Your Dragon - yeah. duh. It's my calling card, or something? However, I think the first movie will always be the best. So much potential for a better future. |
