Author has written 11 stories for Mysterious Benedict Society series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Inheritance Cycle, Misc. Plays/Musicals, Lord of the Rings, 39 Clues, Hobbit, Secret Series, and Silmarillion.
Hi! I'm Quihi, as of September 2015, which is short for Quiet Hiker, my previous username. I'm hoping Quihi sounds less pretentious. I generally read fantasy, science fiction, and other adventure-type books.
I am a female college student, if you're wondering.
I like reading and writing about scenes (and missing scenes) from other points of view, especially ordinary people. Main characters are important to get events in a book moving, but they need the massive armies, the opposing armies, and the innocent bystanders for a book to be interesting and the plot to have a complete purpose.
I'm cutting down my profile… a lot. A lot of it is outdated and it seems unnecessary.
A New Foe - A crossover between the Mysterious Benedict Society and The Secret Series. I still kind of like the idea, but it's abandoned, since I haven't read either series in awhile.
Haiku Time - It's a fun little PJO fanfic I adopted from avrilkitties. Finished!
Climb up Here! - Mysterious Benedict Society one-shot, which was written originally for English class (though I added a fair bit before posting).
The Tale of a Painless Soldier - Inheritance Cycle story. I still like the idea, but in hindsight, I realize this would have worked much better as a long one-shot, or at the very least by only having one protagonist. I bit off far more than I could chew, and accomplished almost nothing for it.
Shattered Together - 39 Clues drabbles. Yet another story where I actually wrote more but never posted them.
Back in the Shire - LotR drabbles. Fun!
Rebuilding - LotR/Silmarillion drabbles.
A Dream Come True - Mysterious Benedict Society/LotR/Silmarillion crossover short story. I like this one.
A Hundred Parallels - Part I - Start of the the 100 drabbles challenge, based on The Hobbit. I do plan to continue this eventually.
And though it's uposted, I once wrote two versions of the start of a Silmarillion crack songfic. Song: Story of My Life. Plot: a love triangle between Maedhros, Fingon, and… the Silmaril.
Best Fanfiction About People Falling into Middle-Earth (that I've found):
I think this is a great category of stories when they are written well, so I've compiled a list of my favorites!
These are not Mary-Sue stories. They are realistic or semi-realistic stories (or as realistic as fantasy can be, meaning they follow canon) about people who are transported into Middle-Earth. These are in no particular order except the order I happened to think of them in.
And the parodies…
Whoops. I'll get this part later. PM if you want my list of favorite parody Mary Sues. Hopefully I can find the list, if it actually exists somewhere and it wasn't in my head, since it's been awhile since I was into them.
