Author has written 10 stories for Mysterious Benedict Society series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Inheritance Cycle, Misc. Plays/Musicals, Lord of the Rings, 39 Clues, Hobbit, Secret Series, and Silmarillion.
Hi! I'm Quihi, as of September 2015, which is short for Quiet Hiker, my previous username. I'm hoping Quihi sounds less pretentious. I generally read fantasy and adventure-type books. Here is what I like to read fanfiction of and what I would possibly write of:
The Mysterious Benedict Society
The Secret Series
Lord of the Rings
I'm a teenaged girl, if you're wondering.
I like reading and writing about scenes (and missing scenes) from other points of view, especially ordinary people. Main characters are important to get events in a book moving, but they need the massive armies, the opposing armies, and the innocent bystanders for a book to be interesting and the plot to have a complete purpose.
Characters I like
Reynie Muldoon (MBS)
Kate Wetherall (MBS)
Cass (Secret Series)
Faramir (LotR, the books) But I really do like him with Éowyn.
Yo-Yoji (Secret Series) I ship Cass-Ernest. I think. It's been awhile since I've read the books. [Note to self… add the Secret Series to that list…]
Maedhros (Silm) He's the hottest book character I've ever read.
Favorite Pairings [I really want to like canon pairings… but I dislike when people act like they're the be all and end all, especially when love triangles or other hints existed in canon.]
Jason/Reyna (HoO) [I don't think it was fair of Riordan to make Percy remember Annabeth but have Jason forget Reyna. While I have nothing against Piper, her relationship with Jason was based on Hera's lies. I really like Jason and Reyna as close friends, if not as a couple.]
Katniss/Gale (Hunger Games)
Best Fanfiction About People Falling into Middle-Earth (that I've found):
I think this is a great category of stories when they are written well, so I've compiled a list of my favorites!
These are not Mary-Sue stories. They are realistic or semi-realistic stories (or as realistic as fantasy can be, meaning they follow canon) about people who are transported into Middle-Earth. These are in no particular order except the order I happened to think of them in.
And the parodies…
Whoops. I'll get this part later. PM if you want my list of favorite parody Mary Sues.
I'm writing a crossover between the Mysterious Benedict Society and The Secret Series. I started it but now I'm not updating for awhile. (haha it's been years but I still am considering returning to it one day.)
I also adopted Haiku Time from avrilkitties. It's a PJO fanfic. Finished!
