Matt feels compelled to go after a killer he failed to catch many years ago. This story follows on from Doc's Story - a version of Gold Train as seen through Doc's eyes. A few characters from that fic also take part in this story.

Reward for Matt (S1 E16) gives us a look into Matt's mind and how he views his job. There's a scene where he goes to visit Doc to talk about his fears - but we never hear most of it. This fills in that MM.

This story is based on Stage Stop from season 12. A good episode but definitely in need of a little more background as well as an ending. I hope this story provides both.

Gold Train is a 3 part episode that I always felt lacked an ending. Much of the story centers around Doc. This is the events of Gold Train as seen through his eyes. Some parts and dialog are taken from the episode and some are as Doc sees them.

Following Doc's instructions, Matt agrees to take Kitty out of town for a few days.

"So he was a fellow lawman - several of those had passed through Dodge before too, and not all of them were committed to upholding justice. Some were even down- right unfriendly."

An adventure story loosely based on the lyrics of the song Big Iron as written and sung by Marty Robbins. It is also uses some characters from "The Only Man I can Trust".

There were many times that Chester managed to mess things up, but occasionally he could be the hero.

I had to write this ATC for There was Never a Horse (season 4). Matt and Chester had left such a mess in Doc's office that I wondered what he would think had happened when he returned home. Thanks to Lilyjack for help with the "Chesterisms"

Doc threatened to leave Dodge City on more than one occasion. This time he did, but soon found out that not all the evil doers came to Kansas.

The Long Branch Saloon, had a reputation for having the prettiest girls, the best whisky and the coldest beer. There was no problem attracting customers. As far as business went Miss Kitty Russell should be feeling very happy right now, but it wasn't business that was worrying her.

Pure adventure with a stage coach hold up, bank robbery, gunfights and chases across the prairie.

After Chosen Profession, several people had asked for another story about Doctor Melissa Anders. This is it. She arrives in Dodge City to find the town in the middle of an outbreak of influenza. The events are heavily influenced by the epidemic proportions of the H3 N2 virus that caused everyone such misery in the 2014/ 2015 flu season.

A short story of prejudice and acceptance

A little drama and adventure but most of this is devoted to Doc Adams whose skills are constantly in demand because he is the only Doctor within a hundred miles of Dodge City The very nature of his profession sets him apart from even his closest friends and when he thinks his skills are not up to the task in hand, he has to handle his own emotions before he can help others.

Matt has to save an old friend and fellow lawman, from the gallows.

A stagecoach holdup, a murder and a ransom note are the background for this story

Matt gets an assignment and Kitty receives a letter, both of which lead them on a cross country adventure. I never did like the episode The Long Long Trail so I came up with this alternate version. The story also includes a character from the episode Kitty's Rebellion.

A follow on to Counterfeit. This story really won't make sense if you haven't read Counterfeit.

Matt Dillon has been gone from Dodge City for a long time when an urgent telegram arrives for Doc.

Cole Yankton dies at the end of Kitty's Outlaw (S3 Ep4). This is a "what if?". Supposing Cole lived- what would have happened.

This story is a sequel to "The Brother" and uses some of the same characters.

Many people pass through Dodge, sometimes they bring trouble with them.

Doc decides he needs to take a few days vacation.

Matt, Kitty and Doc find themselves in a different place and time. A little more science fiction with a Gunsmoke theme

A city boy comes to Dodge, but he has big money on his mind.

Kitty and Matt get a short time away from dodge and its responsibilities.

Wouldn't it be good to have the opportunity to spend a little time with Matt, Doc, Kitty and the rest of the folks in Dodge City? Maybe someone got to do just that.
