Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter, and Naruto.
I figure I'd better add something in case people want to read it.
Alright, I'm a guy with sleep issues.
I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar and reading.
I started writing because I couldn't believe there were so few good (in my opinion) Harry Potter/Naruto crossovers. I mean seriously, what's with all the 'ANBU teams go to Hogwarts?' It's ridiculous. Practically no variety at all.
I hope you enjoy my story, I may or may not write others, depending on how I feel. Sorry for taking so long to update; you know what they say about time flying and all.
Fun Fact: Despite not reading the Naruto manga/watching the anime or having read a story with Itachi as the main character, he is still the protagonist of my story, A Chosen's Hope.
Another Fun Fact: Despite disliking the actual series, I enjoy reading Naruto fanfiction.
My view on fanfiction as whole: If you're going to bother to change something in the story, make sure it has an effect. There are quite a few stories, usually crossovers that either add a new character or change an existing one completely that foll the cannon story-line perfectly. Why bother writing if you're going to do that
Below is a chain letter that I agree with. Despite my personal opinion on lemons, I don't feel that simply deleting stories with no warning is an intelligent move, particularly with the vague wording: "Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature." What makes T- or M-rated violence different than MA-rated violence? Where is the line drawn? This is a rather subjective rating system and potentially limits this site's authors. Not to mention a large portion of decent-length M-rated fics have detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual and/or violent nature. Also, most of them have a warning in the summary, at the start of the story, the beginning of the chapter, or before the lemon starts. I agree that it's not good to have explicit sex scenes where children can access them easily, but this is too extreme. The methods outlined in the letter below would be decent.
Greetings to the Readers and Writers of this magnificent site
I, along with many, have been writing and posting on your fine site for years now, some of the better examples of up and coming writers out there are now suddenly finding some of the stories we've come to love at risk of being removed without the chance to even rectify our errors.
It's quite easy to simply add an MA rating, additional filters or even a simple requirement for a free membership to read the stories presented here, and would cut down on hateful anonymous reviews and posts at the same time, so I have to question as to why such a thing, in all this time, simply wasn't added.
If you're worried about falsification of a registration then have an appropriate disclaimer and then there can be no dispute, you took your steps and the PARENTS didn't monitor their children, if that is even your concern. If it is more of a personal view or desire then please at least let people know and give them a chance to remove a story that you and yours find offensive, most people on the site are actually rather cordial when it comes to such requests.
While I cannot say for sure if this letter will even reach those that may be willing to listen, of if it's more akin to a wide spectrum purge in preparation for something bigger, please understand that you are going to be losing a LARGE number of your writers, and thus your income from a lack of readers if there is not some level of action taken to help with this situation.
For those that may agree with this, please feel free to sign on and send this to the support server, maybe we can get some movement on this. And I believe that it will help more if you write your username and post this to others to make this a larger petition and save our stories.
