Author has written 29 stories for Bones, and Castle. Hi everyone, I've discovered this FF site quite recently. I only started to watch Bones during summer 2011 and I must say I really got into the story and the relationship between B&B. I've read some amazing stories here so I've decided to write some myself. Writing is fun and it's also hard work. I usually do it in Italian and though I now teach French in a secondary high school English has always been my first love so I find writing this fanfic quite challenging. I'm also a big Castle fan and I've started to post some stories about this tv show: I'm impressed about the figures I'm getting and I want to thank all the readers around the world who appreciate my FF. There is one very special person in my life I have to thank though: my English teacher at high school. She understood how eager I was to learn more than classes could actually give to me and suggested I should read in English, I was only 15 then. "Never give in to the temptation of using the dictionnary" she used to say "just read for the pleasure of reading". She was right. That's how I discovered some of the best anglo-saxon literature and some of the books I still cherish. Thank you Elena, wherever you are I know you would be proud of me and I miss you so much. Apart from reading and writing I love travelling and meeting new people, walking in the old city centres, trekking and taking pictures. I also love to see the breathtaking sites nature has to offer around the world. Reviews: it only takes a few minutes to write one. It is what makes a writer happy after all the hard work he/she's done. So, enjoy the reading and remember to leave your impressions. Any review will be appreciated. Thanks, Lilly. About my most successful stories: Bones:
A surprise my first multi-chapter story. Brennan has finally found out what love is and wants to show Booth she has changed. Through a series of amazing surprises she has decided to make over a weekend a "final" surprise is unfolded. I've had a lot of fun planning and writing this story, it's amazing what we can actually make up for these two characters. Seeley belongs to the Alphabet I decided to write to have some fun with my two favourite TV shows and incredible couples (Booth&Brennan and Castle&Beckett). It was meant to be a one-shot but some of them turned out to be really worth developping and many readers asked me to turn them into longer stories. This is also the first FF where I started to explore new territories, such as suffering and angst and a final twist (I had done that before but only in my Italian stories). The response has been great so I decided to do the same with Castle. OB is one of my favourite one shots which turned out to be one of my best stories. I wrote it several months before we even knew anything about Brennan's way of giving birth to her child. Well, I admit I have unleashed my imagination a lot because not only did I guess Brennan's water broke in the SUV while they were on a mission, but I also had Booth help her deliver their daughter. Apart from the manger which I think is great and even Brennan had to admit that it was a perfect setting, I also got the name right Christine (Anne which Booth invokes as the protector of women in labor, being a Catholic what else could he do?) Angela Booth. THE FLESH AND THE SOUL this is the longest story I've written so far. Mainly AU, one thing I find absolutely challenging and totally rewarding as a writer is to create authentic stories. Daring to explore new territories even if I have to struggle together with the characters. This story is the outcome of an amazing friendship born in this site with an incredibly talented writer, gawilliams, with whom I have started to discuss about books, religion and writing (and all sorts of topics which stimulate my imagination). An idea started to linger in my mind and I couldn't get it out: Brennan is such a complex character, one of the strongest female characters I have encountered in all these years of reading and watching, and one with the highest possibility of evolution. She has shown that in Bones. So why not pushing her towards the one "evolution" which seems impossible for her rational, atheist mind? I've turned her into a nun, the opposite of her proud and self-assured personality, a Franciscan nun, with a past full of suffering and lost hopes (something the creators have only hinted at throughout the show). Nothing could be banal in this story, I've done plenty of research (on various topics), discussed with two colleagues of mine - a priest and a theologian -, I also took one of the characters out of a novel I wrote in Italian ten years ago and adapted it to this story. It's Father Gabriel, the Franciscan friar who saves Brennan and shows her she is not meant to die because God has a different plan for her, a higher purpose for her life. I have put a lot of myself and the response so far has been more than encouraging. I thank all the readers who have followed me so far along this long journey through pain, suffering, inner struggles, second chances and love. Quite often our lives are just like that, Brennan's is no exception and her conversion is less improbable than what we believe, two of my colleagues have left everything they had to become nuns. There are things our beautiful rational minds simply cannot explain and we have to accept that. Castle:
Young What started as one of the final Alphabet parts turned out to be a good one to develop into a multi-chapter story, mainly AU, with a final twist the readers have appreciated. Setting the story way back in time has given me the opportunity to explore Beckett and Castle's pasts, while we only got some bits and pieces from the show. I'll go on a hiatus when I'm done with the THE FLESH... I need a break from writing FF to work on my Italian stories. My colleagues say I should get them published. I'll be back in the fall, writing these stories is such fun. And I will go on reading the other writer's stories of course. Lilly |
