Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter.
One thing to get out of the way before you proceed: My only fandom is Harry Potter. *grin*
AND! An important note: For the most recent updates on my stories and stuff, skip down to the "About My Stories" section.
Also, find me on AO3:
I don't like ffnet. Unfortunately for me, it's the best place to upload Harry-Potter-based fics. *shrugs* Necessary evil, I guess.
I write. That's pretty much all you need to know about me. My fics aren't world-class, you will like some, and most definitely hate some. But I refuse to be apologetic about what I write - it is, after all, my stuff.
Constructive criticism is appreciated. Non-constructive is not. So filter your comments carefully, please.
More about me? My favourite (and only) ship is Drarry. For the foreseeable future, I'll be writing only Draco/Harry fics. As far as reading goes, I explore ships as much as I can within my comfort zone. :)
I love Tom Felton. There. That's out.
I also admin two absolutely supermegafoxyawesomehot pages on Facebook:
I'm not good at writing stuff like this, so this is about as much as you can know about me from my profile. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you wanna know more, despite the coldness of my bio, I'm actually a really open person. As I said, I'm just not really good at this stuff. :3
Keep calm and Drarry on.
CONTACT ME!: If you don't have an ffnet account or simply want to contact me with stuff that ffnet's PM service doesn't allow (pictures, link, etc), you can mail me at email@example.com
Okay, so after my original bio above that I'd added when I first made my account (when I was only a reader on here. *sigh* Ah, the good old days. :P), I've decided to add a couple more things so that you guys know more about me. (I'll keep adding stuff as I think of them :D)
#1: I refer to myself as T, so you can call me that. That's my name. (for ffnet purposes only. :P)
#2: I'm female. A girl. In case there's any speculation. (With metaphorical guy bits, though, as I tend to write in first person for both Draco and Harry :D). I'm straight, but I'd go bi for Emma Watson in a heartbeat. She is THE most snoggable girl I've ever seen, and I have no shame in saying I have a huge girl crush on her. :3
#3: I'm born 1996 (so you can calculate my age without me having to keep updating it over the years xD). But my stories span several adult themes - that's just how I write and how I'll continue to write, so please don't go all mental on me.
#4: I'm Asian - Indian, to be exact. However, I've lived 5 years of my (glorious xD) life in the UK, and I'm a fucking frigid British sod at heart. :P So all my stories will have British connotations, spellings, slang, etc.
#5: You use American spellings/slang in your HP fanfiction? I will khill you. Major peeve about that. :/
#6: I haven't taken on a beta reader for any of my stories as of now. The idea of them just intimidates me. :S My brother often looks over my fics before I upload, giving me insight and pointing out plot holes and typos, but he's only an unofficial beta and sometimes things skip both of our notices. So any and all typos and grammar errors you see are a result of me overlooking them during my revisions - please forgive me, and feel free to point them out in a PM for me to edit.
#7: I abuse commas quite horrendously in my fanfics. Yes, I do. That's mostly because I play with my writing style a lot, so fics turn out differently each time. The ones which are fast, furious and driven, though, have exceptionally long sentences and have almost 20 commas in it (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration xD). But that's only to emphasize the continuing, changing, fast pace of the fics. The slower ones obviously have much shorter sentences and not as many commas.
#8: I'm a huge music aficionado and have quite vociferous opinions about it. That's pretty beneficial, considering I'm planning to pursue a career in journalistic media about music. I listen to everything from pop to punk to Celtic to indie to mainstream to country to rap to hip hop to oldies to folk to jazz to whatever other genre your mind can come up with. xD I also play the piano, learnt Theory of Music for 5 years and plan to learn the violin or cello real soon. Any opinions you want to toss around with me on music, PLEASE PM ME. Heaven knows I'd love to blabber about it. :3
#9: I have an unhealthy obsession with tea - which is strange, because I hardly drink it. But when I do, I can down cup after cup in one sitting. My relationship with it is highly complicated. :/ As a result, you will always find at least one reference to it in each and every one of my fics (go on, check, if you don't believe me :P). It finds a way to either a) be conducive to the plot or b) my own fixation with it manifests itself in one of the character's idiosyncrasies - either Harry or Draco will -always- have some strange habit related to it. :3
#10: I don't believe in any one character being dominant in my slash fics - you will never find only top!Draco or top!Harry in my fics. I change it from story to story, and if the fic itself is long enough, it will change within it as well. I hate the idea of either one of them being the natural upper in fanfiction, because their personalities are such I don't think either of them would condone being the stipulated bottom in a relationship. I like to think of them as versatile, and their positions will always depend on the current situation and emotions.
#11: I can't stand HPDM fics that make use of the words 'the Slytherin' and 'the Gryffindor' or 'the Boy Who Lived' excessively while referring to Draco or Harry respectively in the narrative. Another couple of gems like these include 'the dark-haired' or 'raven-haired boy' and 'the blonde boy' and other crap like that. THEY HAVE NAMES FOR A REASON. Use them. And if the narrative is in third person and the usage of their names is becoming repetitive, I respect authors who are able to use their pronouns smartly to avoid confusion and repetition while simultaneously ignoring these phrases. I dunno why they trouble me so much, but for some reason they seem almost... childish to me, and horribly cliched, and I abandon such fics immediately; I also don't make use of these phrases in my own stuff for the same reason.
#12: I've noticed that ffnet tends to eat up my line breakers. As a result, I've had to resort to other symbols to indicate breaks in the narrative. It's highly annoying, but hopefully I can resolve it soon so that it doesn't mess up my formatting. Forgive me for anything that goes amiss while I try, though. :S
#13: Please feel absolutely free to PM me about ANYTHING. Lamps, cheese, Draco's undies, anything. :3 I'd love to talk to anyone who takes the time out to write me a PM, and you can ask me whatever you want to know about me. Rest assured I'll answer as honestly as possible.
#14: I'm always looking for anyone who's willing to draw me a picture/sketch/painting/piece of fanart of a scene of their choosing from any of my currently uploaded fics. If you're interested, please PM me. Thanks. :)
For the benefit of the readers who want to form a mental image of me:-
I have shoulder length, wavy jet black hair and dark amber eyes (which is really code for light brown, but dark amber just sounds so much more mysterious. :P Go on, shoot me.)
I'm 5'5" - average-ish height for Asians, I guess. :/
I wear glasses sometimes. And at times contacts. Depends on whether I want people to think I'm smart or not. ;D
My skin is a sort of tanned-like complexion, so I'm not pale but I'm not dark, either. :3
My go-to outfit: Comfortably form-fitting button-downs over dark jeans with canvas lace-up plimsolls. Mostly. The only time you'll see me in a skirt or dress is when I'm trying to look pretty. Else, I just have that casual look about me. *shrug*
I also tend to have a very manic look in my eyes when I'm writing. Like an escapee or something. :/
My default expression is scepticism. Though I think you might have gathered that by now, right?
-scratches head absentmindedly- Uh, I really don't know what else. PM if you can think of anything else and want to know. I'll add it. :P
What's going on with my stories right now? (I keep editing this section as the statuses of my stories change and it'll always be up-to-date, so never fear)
As for my uploaded stuff, in descending chronological order (a star next to the title indicates a one-shot):
*All The Immediate Unknowns (short, angsty ficlet)
UPDATE (15th June 2012): Dry spell, heigh ho! I'm trying to get stuff done, but don't be surprised if it's a while before you hear from me. Sorry guys.
I don't usually condone copy-pasting large amounts of stuff onto your profile that doesn't really talk about YOU as a person (because it's sorta annoying, no matter how good your cause :/), but I couldn't help myself with this one. Just the one. ;D
