Author has written 7 stories for Mentalist.
EDIT: I am guessing that most of you who have read my stories have at least a hunch that I have retired from Fan Fiction. You are correct. I quit watching the Mentalist, and quitting Fan Fiction was the next-very difficult- step. I thought for a long time that watching TM was okay, despite the language, sex, and drug use, as long as I didn't write the same way, or let that be reflected in my life.
Actually, I take that back; I have known for a long time that I need to stop watching the Mentalist, but I found it impossible to quit. I thought I couldn't do it.
I was obsessed.
Thinking about the Mentalist 24/7.
Planning my life around being able to watch the Mentalist.
I skipped too many after-church dinners to watch The Mentalist.
I rarely wrote about anything non-Mentalist related.
And I was starting to bend my standerds to allow my favorite characters the life they wanted.
I needed to quit.
The actual story behind what finally pushed me to quit is kind of long, so I won't bore you with it.
But after what happened, the actual act of quitting wasn't so hard.
But doing this-admitting that I wouldn't be finishing any of my stories... That was the hard part. For nearly two months I put it off.
But I owe it to all of you-the ones who kept me sane during a nearly impossible time of my life- to tell you the truth.
I hate not finishing projects. But these will remain unfinished.
I will be leaving my stories up, because I remember it driving me crazy when someone quit ff.net and taking their stoies down. "Hey! I was going to read that!" I would gripe to the computer, (Not that anyone could hear me.) and I could never understand them doing that.
All of you mean so much to me, and I will never forget all of the things you've done for me.
I love you all, and God Bless.
Hello, reader! If you are actually taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.
There is something I need to make clear right away, and it does relate to my stories, as you will see. I am a Christian. There won't be any swear words in my stories, and they won't have sexual content.
Hopefully, I don't need them. I use other words, and I think I paint fairly romantic scenes without them.
I just wanted to make that clear.
Ok, as for what I write for... (Glances at Pen Name.) I write for the Mentalist, obviously. I might do some crossovers, but the Mentalist will be the main subject of my stories.
By the way, about my Pen Name...Yes, I realize that it's Jane's wife's name. There actually is a story there, and I'd be happy to tell anyone who asks, through a message.
One thing, though: It doesn't mean I don't love Jisbon. Because I definately do.
I saw these on Special Agent Baker's profile, and had to use them:
“Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.”
“I don’t suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.”
“The quickest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket.”
“I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.”
“People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.”
“Keep the dream alive: Hit the snooze button.”
I admit, I am facinated by names, so I will fill the rest of my page with the meanings of the characters' names. Some of them are kind of interesting...
Angela: Angelic, Angel.
Charlotte: Little woman.
Jane: Believer in a gracious God.
Lisbon: Capital city in Portugal.
Kimball: Inviting. (Question: Exactly how much research did the writers do on names?)
Cho: Beautiful, butterfly. (I repeat...How much research did they do? Also, now I'm trying to picture Cho as a butterfly...Doesn't work.)
Wayne: Wheeler and Dealer. (Ok...I'm convinced. The writers did no research before naming any characters but Angela and Charlotte.)
Rigsby: (This one was a little tricky to find out. The best I can figure is: Home or Land owner.)
Grace: Graceful. (I think we all saw that one coming...Oh, well.)
Van Pelt: (A business name, meaning:) Skin or hide. (Interesting tidbit: If you go to geneology . com, it has a facinating story, that includes a mention of John's Son. I would explain, but it takes to much room.)
Thank you for reading, and God Bless.
