Author has written 3 stories for Dragon Age, and Mass Effect.
Hello everyone. I’m just here to post these few updates, and then I’ll be going into full-on writing mode for a few months, so you probably won’t hear anything from me.
First off, I just want to take the time to thank all of you who read this story. By no means were you required to do so, and it makes me happy knowing that somewhere, somehow, some of you got a smile, laugh, or otherwise warm fuzzy feeling from reading this. Second, while it is unfortunate, I am here to let you know that if you really enjoyed the reading, and would like to keep it to read again, then you might want to download the story. I will be taking almost everything of mine down in the next two weeks, in order to re-structure my writing and focus on what’s new. This is an opportunity I can’t pass up, so I’m making the best I can of it. Essentially, what this all boils down to is, quite simply, that I am making you all a promise: I will be uploading new content by the start of June. That is the date I have set for the release of three new stories I will be writing, and I plan to upload content at least once a month for all of them.
What are these new projects, you ask? Let me fill you in.
First will be a re-writing of my Dragon Age: Origins fanfic, “Order Up: Blight No. 5 With a Side of Betrayal.” While I really enjoyed the direction it was going in, there were some clerical errors on my side that really caused my dedication to the story decline. I will tell you this, though: the same basic story structure, and most characters and their inter-story relationships will be coming back. Which means you’ll soon see Markus, Arya, and the rest of the loveable chumps soon enough.
Second will be the completely re-worked Mass Effect fanfic, “And I Was Having Such a Nice Day.” That one bothered me from the very beginning. The story didn’t go into words the way I liked, I consistently had to re-do the characters to fit my changing landscape, the dialogue sucked monkey balls, and my motivation to continue it quickly faded. Essentially, this story no longer exists. I will release a newer version of it later on in the year, to keep the shenanigans going, but this will not be my main work. The new story will have a different title, more examination of Shepard’s past and that of his fellow characters, more focus on the missions and a continuing focus on the inter-personal relationships between characters, and more. I promise you, it will be worth reading.
Lastly, I’ll be uploading a new story, one that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Say hello to Halo: Reach! Yes, I will be basing the story around my interpretation of Noble Six. Yes, I will be keeping them alive past the end of the game, but don’t worry, they will eventually die as they were meant to (hint?). No, I will not be focusing on any relationships. As far as I’m concerned, my Noble Six is a loner through and through. And no, they will not be impacting the storyline of the other Halo games all that much. Maybe a few appearances here and there for our hero, but nothing serious.
After that, I’m not sure where my writing will take me. Maybe to Skyrim, or perhaps to Far Cry 3? Maybe even a crossover, though I wouldn’t be counting on that. Still, I want to take this moment now to thank you all for your readings, your reviews, and your constructive criticism. It helped more than you will ever know.
See you all soon!
