Uh-oh, filling this profile is not as easy as I thought…

Why not simply start with a question?! So: why am I here?

Back in July 2011, I read about this new BBC-series called “Sherlock” in our TV guide. Until then, I had never been interested in Sherlock Holmes, nor had I read the original stories. And well, I had never heard of Benedict Cumberbatch at that…

But the critic was enthusiastic and so I thought: “Why not give it a try?” And what should I say, I was practically glued to the screen after only some minutes.

To cut a long story short: one thing led to another. Thanks to the DVD, I was able to watch the episodes again and again. And of course I also started to search the internet for information on Sherlock. Via a drawing (fanart to be precise), I came across reading my first fanfiction story. I had never heard of that either and all of a sudden, there it was: a whole new world!

With people who feel the same like me, where I feel understood, where I made some fantastic new friends.

My favourite genre is h/c, but I also like humour and friendship-stories.

Though I also read ‘Johnlock’-stories now and then, I absolutely do not ship Sherlock and John in the show. To me, the series is about a unique friendship and the chemistry between those fantastic actors is its secret of success.
