Queen's Sacrifice (Beast Queen) section:
For those of you who stumble upon my profile without having read Beast Queen: it is the first part in a series of fanfics that I am planning on writing, and is based on Yu Wo's 1/2 Prince. I have done my best to make the fic comprehensible even for those who have not read the original, though, so I'd be very happy if you took a peek at it, even if you are not familiar with the original :)
That said, on to the info:
BEAST QUEEN UPDATES ON WEDNESDAYS EVERY SECOND WEEK... or, well. You know. It is supposed to, but with me being me, I'll probably miss the mark a couple of times... Feel free to PM me and ask where I disappeared to if I take too long!
A NEW POLL IS NOW UP.
You may or may not have heard me mention how Tigris is selectively blind to the happenings of the universe, so I've decided to do a COLLECTION OF ONE-SHOTS/DRABBLES as a companion to the main parts of Queen's Sacrifice wherein I will write from the POV of my other characters and maybe some of the canon ones, too. You'll soon see how different things can be when viewed through another pair of eyes ;) Anyway, this new poll is about which characters you want to see first in the one-shot/drabble collection, which I will put up under the name "FADING BLINDNESS" as soon as I consider myself having a conclusive result. At that time, I will take down the poll.
THE ROMANCE POLL IS OVER and I have taken it down. The result is thus:
This means that YES, BQ WILL INVOLVE ROMANCE.
To you who voted yes: congratulations! And thank you for your confidence in me as a romance writer :D (even if this hopefully won't be your typical romance)
To you who left it up to me to decide: thank you for your faith in me :)
To you who voted no (and all you who don't think BQ should have romance, but did not say anything): I hope that you will stay with me anyway.
I'll do my best to avoid disappointing you. I already have an awesome plotline laid out for this, so wish me luck! Just don't complain when... well, I really shouldn't spoil. Just know that it was your choice that set me on this path, my dear readers!
But this I can safely tell you: BQ WILL HAVE AT LEAST TWO SEQUELS!!! Initially, I was planning to have two acts in BQ, but after plotting on, and on, and oooon... (well, you get the idea) I realized how very, very, different the second act would be. So I've decided to make the second act into a sequel. THE TITLE OF THE FIRST SEQUEL IS "BROKEN INNOCENCE" and I think I'll set it as Family/Friendship/Sci-fi/Romance and Tragedy or something. Yeah, ponder on that ;) I'll decide on the genres closer once I've reached a bit further in my evil plotting. The SECOND SEQUEL started evolving once I'd started making a draft of a plotline to Broken Innocence... or, well. Decided on the end, at least. It will be called "BLOOD CROWN" and will not be a part of the Beast Queen - Broken Innocence set, exactly, but it is a part of the same series (which I have decided to name "QUEEN'S SACRIFICE", as you may have seen in the pretty title :3) and will be set almost directly after Broken Innocence chronologically. Despite that, it will stand apart from the first set and possibly be the first in a second set; I still have to look more into the plotline before I can say anything about that. Don't get your hopes up, though! I am lazy to a fault, and I already think that this thing is getting too long -_-" Anyway, I cannot tell you the reason as to why it will stand apart (because that would be spoiling, and I don't do that... most of the time), but it will. And yes, I love foreshadowing. I was so happy when I decided on those titles; they are just so perfect :3
If you have any ideas for this story/series, feel free to send me a PM about it. I like hearing my readers' opinions :D If I like it, I'll try to work it into the story, but if I can't, it will likely appear somewhere in Fading Blindness once I've got that started ;)
You also have my full permission to write to me and tell me to haul my lazy ass off the floor and actually write something. I'll need a few good kicks in the butt to be productive, sadly... ;_;
19/3 - 2014
Chapter 14 is finally up, after much delay. Life attacked me like a rabid wolf... And I've given up on the extra-update thing. One chapter every second week truly seems to be my limit -_-" I'll do like this, instead; for the introduction of Fading Blindness, I'll publish two one-shots (or at least three drabbles... or a mix?) at once! How about that? Good?
...does anyone even read this? ;_;
11/4 - 2014
I've decided to keep the old "Current Status" notes, because it may be fun to read the old ones... maybe? I don't know... Some info in them may be good to know, at least
I just want to thank everyone so very, very much for reading this story! :DDDD I am so happy right now, because Beast Queen is just climbing and climbing and climbing on the first side of the review rankings on the 1/2 Prince page! :DDDDDDDD When I saw that I had gotten past "Water", a personal favourite of mine, I seriously squealed in happiness. And I do not squeal. I shocked myself for a while there... before I broke down in laughter XD Anyway, I just want you to know that I appreciate all of you so very, very much (even if you do not review) and am looking forward to hearing more from you in the future! :DDDDD
Hmm... I think that I'll give out a reward for my 100th reviewer, how does that sound? (I am still shocked that having a hundred reviews actually sounds possible, though...) Yeah, I think I will. I'll put a note in chapter 16. Which will be up 16/4, so look forward to it! :DD
First reaction upon seeing the empty profile page: Wow... It's completely empty... What are you supposed to fill these things with?
When I was done with my dumbfounded staring, I started thinking...
Normally you fill them with your name and age and stuff, right? But I don't want to... First off, you should never ask a lady about her age - or her weight, for that matter. It's rude.
If you want to tell me something, call me SeaDevil (Fish, Fishy or Bobby works fine, too). I'll answer. Promise. My real name is NOT needed, so I won't tell you ;)
I'm from Sweden - and I'm a female, if you haven't already figured that out. So that makes it kind of obvious that I am fluent in Swedish. I also pride myself on my English; I like to tell myself that I could just as well have been a native speaker, but that's probably not true... anyway. Apart from that, I know a bit of German (but can understand much more than I can speak or write), a bit less of Japanese, but enough to get along, I guess, and can understand Norwegian and Danish, but that is most likely only because they lie quite close to Swedish. And having a Danish grandmother only helps :)
I have this really bad habit of talking to inanimate objects, and most of the time it sounds like I'm talking to an extremely stupid dog; "No! Sit, Stay! No, I told you to STAY. That means DON'T MOVE. STAY, damn it." This while talking to a pen.
I also dream very strange dreams. Let me give you an example: Voldemort has changed occupation and is now a dragon breeder focused on public transport, making life hell for all pilots, as they constantly fly their planes into some dragon or the other. After much complaining, Voldemort had them carry some kind of globe-shaped light in their claws at night. Not that it helped much, but it made for some very nice light-shows. Hm. Maybe I should write a Harry Potter crack-fic about it... nah, too lazy. But if anyone else wants to do so, feel free :) Just tell me that you are doing it: I'd like to read it :) Anyway. Back to the point. That dream isn't even the strangest one I've had, leading me to be just the slightest bit worried that my parents are covertly feeding me strange mushrooms.
If I were to describe myself in three words, I would say "Lazy, absent-minded, loyal." In that order. Sadly, laziness is my greatest trait. Let this be a warning to my readers: my stories will probably progress painfully slowly. Feel free to PM me or review me to give me a good kick in the butt so that I actually get around to writing; I'd appreciate it, honestly.
THIS IS A FANRAPE BY VENDELAREADER: WTF Seadevil? So not, NOT true. Your greatest traits are those that describe a Bobby. A Bobby is loyal at all times, strong and reliable. Lazy at times but many a time it is the opposite (who rides the bike to school when it's snowstorm anyway??). But most of all, a Bobby is nice and Seadevil is a Bobby.
SeaDevil: *tries very hard to hide a blush and mutters* "Bobby" is not considered an adjective, you know...
Vendelareader: Well it is now! I'll add it too Urban dictionary's dictionary. HA!
SeaDevil: *confused* You can actually do that?
Vendelareader: Dunno, but I'll try! I'll have my way...
SeaDevil: I've got no comment on that... Anyway, now that my computer is done being kidnapped, I'll continue with the profile. Besides, what kind of word is "fanrape"? It just sounds so wrong...
Now, where was I? Oh, right. Ven giving me my name.
Today (well, the day I wrote this down... It's not "today" any more...), Vendelareader sulked and complained and told me to write why I had chosen SeaDevil, of all names, as a moniker here on fanfiction.net. Why she was sulking? Well, it was her idea from the beginning, so she wanted some credit for finding me an awesome name. So thank you Vendelareader, for giving me the idea to this name (are you happy now?). The awesomeness can be questioned though...
The story goes like this: My friends decide quite randomly and out of nowhere that I need a nickname and start flinging ideas around - without me having the right to say anything in the matter. One of the names they almost settled for was "Marulken." ...understand why the awesomeness can be questioned now? The word is almost as ugly as the fish itself (gah, I almost sound like Yumichika... but seriously, google "marulk" and you'll understand me). Anyway, it can be translated from Swedish to English into "the seadevil". The underlying logic was "well, she can be extremely scary sometimes, and seadevils are scary" (this while totally ignoring my irritated yelling in the background). Luckily, that wasn't what I ended up with, since it sounds horrible, but it was a close call. If anyone wonders, they settled with "Bobby" - don't ask me why. It's a guy's name and has no relation to my real name at all; not even one of the letters match. But they say that it fits and I've gotten used to it by now, so oh well. Anyway, seadevil sounds quite good in English, so it ended up becoming my name here on fanfiction.net... And I even found a picture that wasn't scary! :D
While I'm talking about fish... I WAS A FISH IN MY PREVIOUS LIFE!!! XD It's true! I even have gills to prove it! Granted that they don't work, don't open on the outside and mostly act as a trash can for dead cells (according to my doctor at least...), but I have gills! I'm such an amazing person! XD
Now, what more is there to tell you about me without completely boring you...
I love books. Mostly I read fantasy, sometimes a bit sci-fi. Once I tied to see if I could read 100 books during a school year - and almost succeded. 98 books. 98! If I only had read two more, I would have made it... Grr...
Other than books, I started reading manga a couple of years ago. It has become my downfall. Manga is like a swamp - no, quicksand. Once you've stepped in it, it's impossible to get out... Not that I mind - it's great entertainment. But the people around me has started to complain... And that's slightly annoying.
Oh, and fanfics, of course. I think that fanfiction is actually worse than manga in stealing away my time from the things I should be doing. But as stated earlier: I don't really mind it.
Also: an reoccurring annoyance for me is that English does not have a word for "a day and a night" (that I am aware of, anyway...). You wouldn't believe how frustrating that is when I am used to having that word in Swedish! (The word is "dygn", for those who are interested) I find myself wanting to use it all the fudging time, but then IT DOESN'T EXIST!!!! Soon I'll borrow in the Swedish word into my English texts, I swear!
And to round it off: if you thought it was money that made the world go round, you're wrong. It's sugar. Primarily the type found in chocolate. Which leads me to this:
The prayer of the chocolate-god religion:
"Thank you for sharing your godly taste to a small being like me. May your good children come back to your being through us humans when we eat them. May you send new children back to earth so that it will be an endless cycle of life and taste. Chocolate."
The shortened version, if you happen to be in a hurry, goes like this:
"Thank you, and may the endless cycle of goodness continue. Chocolate."

With how lazy I am, I will never use these, but it would be awesome if they existed, so feel free to kidnap them. Or if they already exist, please tell me, so that I can read them.

Someone who has read Full Metal Alchemist ends up in a meeting with Truth, and is thoroughly confounded, irritated and disappointed by the fact that the dimension and Truth does not look the slightest bit like it is "supposed" to do. (Since everyone supposedly perceives that place differently, remember?)
