![]() Author has written 76 stories for Nanny and the Professor, Fifty Shades Trilogy, and Twilight. As a writer for this site since late 2011, I have posted stories in the areas of Nanny and the Professor, Fifty Shades of Grey, and Twilight. I have left two unfinished Twilight stories, mostly due to hitting writer's block. It is often easy to begin an idea, mbut more difficult to compete it. Over the past two years, I have discovered a former girlhood favorite, Jane Austen. In reading her works for the first time after nearly forty years, I discovered new insights based on that lifetime of experience. A great favorite is Pride and Prejudice and I have become fascinated by the many interpretations, variations, and continuations that I have read. I have tried my hand at a couple of stories of my own, but after disappointing my Twilight readers after dropping a couple of stories, have decided not to post anything new until I at least have a complete story to post chapter by chapter with edits based on feedback. Older but wiser, as they say, I believe that I will begin posting in two weeks after the school year ends. As a teacher who has spent thirty years in the classroom, I find this kind of writing for pleasure as a release from the tensions of everyday life. For the past ten years, I have been teaching to Latin to energetic, and often squirrelly, seventh and eighth graders. For the past nine years, I have spent the last two months of each school year dividing my classes into Herry Potter houses and running a house championship. The winning house for 2016 is Gryffindor. Several times I have considered trying my hand at Harry Potter fan fiction, from a Hogwarts professior's point of view, but it seems nearly impossible to build on the tremendous efforts of JK Rowling. Thus I will contain my efforts to Jane Austen's canon and hope for the best. |
