Author has written 76 stories for Nanny and the Professor, Fifty Shades Trilogy, and Twilight.
I am a baby boomer with fond memories of the old sitcoms of the 60s and 70s. Favorites included Nanny and the Professor, The Brady Bunch, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, The Flying Nun, Bewitched and Family Affair.
As a result of a busier career in the past few years, I have lost interest in contemporary TV. However, I have discovered that many of my old favorites are now available either on cable or the Internet. I have decided to try my hand again at fan fiction and thought that it might be fun to get feedback from a virtual community.
As a scholar and teacher of ancient languages, I thought that this would also be a lighter form of one of my favorite past times, writing. In addition to teaching and writing, I also sing in a choir and play guitar, work with Christian youth in the summers at various work camps, and enjoy gardening and photography.
I miss the simpler, wholesome days of my childhood. While my interest in fantasy and romance eventually evolved into scholarly studies of myth and amatory poetry, I suppose that even the old intellect needs a break once in a while, and a flight of fancy into childhood dreams and memories.
Looking for a little light summer entertainment, I have written a few stories about the Shades of Grey Trilogy. I know that some of you are thinking, oh, how could she? Well, she did.
Recently, I have added Twilight to my pursuits, just for the fun of it. I picked up the series, as I did with Harry Potter a few years ago, to see what all the fuss was with my students (especially the girls). As with the Potter books, I found that I enjoyed them based on their own merit. From wizards to vampires and who knows what next? All these things get my kids reading and that's all that matters to me.
