I've run the gambit of obsessions ever since I was old enough to know what the word "obsession" meant, and I suppose I've been writing fanfics for about that long. All perfectly horrid, of course, but then, a kid thinks everything she does is brilliant.
Now that I have the common sense to distinguish between the "decent" and the "dear God, please don't let this come in contact with the human eye" story, I figured it was time to make it at least semi-official.
Author's Warning: Because of my shamefully capricious nature when it comes to such things, my non-plot-line stories may suffer large periods of hiatus. I have no excuse for this and apologize in advance. However, when it does come to plot-driven series, I will do my utmost to see that I finish what I start.
Quick note about my feelings on slash:
Yes, I am about 10% slash fan with my non-canon pairings. However, this does not dull the efficacy of my other 90%. I enjoy slash in the context of fanart, fanfics, etc, as long as they stay true to the basic characters (because, hello, isn't further exploration of these people the reason why it's fun?). This does not indicate, by any means, that this is how I view the canon. I understand relationships as they are laid out in the original stories and take them as the "truth". However, this doesn't mean that I am barred from flailing over a beautiful fanfic in which, say, Sherlock and John ARE in a relationship. This also doesn't bar me from writing said fanfics.
Just one fan's opinion.
