The Headmaster's Wife: Epic novel In Progress
Who says all ancient magic should be feared? When Headmaster Snape finds himself thinking thoughts he knows he shouldn't he needs to know why. And once he knows will those feelings become set in stone. A story of love, hurt and healing; relationships both old and new; new friends and allies; old and new enemies. It is a story that will make you laugh, cry and sigh. AU/Post DH EWE.
EXCITING AND BREAKING NEWS:
The Headmaster's Wife has been nominated for Best Work In Progress in the 2014 SSHG Fan fic Awards.
We're up against some very stiff and well deserved competition so if you love this story and think it deserves to win, then your vote will be gratefully received. Voting opens on February 15th and I will post details on how to vote then. Thank you to all our readers for your support. It means more to me than you will ever know.
PLEASE READ. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - about revisions to The Headmaster's Wife:
When I started writing The Headmaster's Wife it was the first piece of creative writing I had worked on for 20 years. To say it was rough is an understatement and I didn't have a beta for the first 22 chapters.
I am now constantly reviewing the chapters...not in terms of storyline but in terms of grammar, language, descriptive passages that I may not have been entirely happy with etc. This is as much for you, my lovely readers, as it is for me.
I am working through this slowly whilst I continue to write the remainder of the story and there may still be mistakes, so please, please, please let me know if you spot any.
Chapters One to Eleven updated as at 02/02/15
Chapter Twelve to Twenty Two - still being worked on. It is my intention to have the whole story revised fully by the time the story is completed. Therefore if you want to wait until the work is fully completed then do so. If you don't care, then read on.
Note about posting frequency:
I get alot of PMs/comments on reviews about posting updates more quickly. As I have mentioned I run my own business, working in the fashion industry is all about ludicrous deadlines, all night working and constant fretting. I write in between, and you may have noticed my chapters aren't exactly short. My beta is also an active writer so between us we're quite busy ladies.
With this in mind I do try to update every 14 to 21 days but in the run up to collection launches (and I am involved in a few this year!) I might not be able to achieve this. At the moment it will probably be posting around 28 to 35 days, but it could be longer
So please bear with me. I am always working on my writing so don't think I will abandon it. Because I won't. I have stories that I want to tell, and I am so thrilled that you all want to read them. But I can understand that you are impatient to know what happens next...I just can't get it done any quicker.
Summary of last five chapters:
Our couple have been under quite a lot of pressure but things seem much better between them. However, there is an assassination attempt in an unlikely place and Lucius gives them something to think about.
Severus goes to Australia to retrieve Hermione's parents.
They find a way of determining whether Shacklebolt is really Shacklebolt...and they get the answer.
Harry and Ginny continue to dance around each other.
Theo Nott confided in Hermione that he believes his girlfriend, Pansy Parkinson, is playing around with Blaise.
Narcissa and Pius drop bombshells at Lucius and Narcissa's Divorce party.
Lucius returns from France and drops a bombshell that has Draco feeling sorry for him.
Draco and Luna are thriving, but he's not the only Malfoy with a French witch causing him problems.
And we find out that Minerva knows how to transfigure dildos (this line will remain in all summaries...because it is important!)
Plus alot more...
Sequels and companion pieces to The Headmaster's Wife:
I am often asked if I will be doing any sequels or companion pieces to The Headmaster's Wife and the simple answer is yes and yes.
There will be a number of one shots and there will be three sequels.
I love working with talented, creative people and seeing how my words inspire.
IF YOU WISH TO CREATE SOME ARTWORK FOR THIS STORY, I WOULD BE THRILLED.
She Remembered Everything - COMPLETE Oneshot
Hermione remembers everything.
Until That Day - Four chapter ficlet - In Progress.
Who is the mysterious man who walks into Hermione's life and what happens when her past collides with her present and future? Just so you know I wrote this fic in a day, and as I was tidying up chapter three to post, I decided I needed to change it as there were more holes in the plot than a pair of my tights after a night out on the beers. I'm still changing it, and I must apologise of the delay but the whole fic will be finished and posted by the end of the year.
COMING SOON: The Memoirs of Lucius Malfoy:
This is a companion piece to The Headmaster's Wife. It is a series of linked one shots centred around Lucius and events where he appears in The Headmaster's Wife and its sequels.

I love the freedom fanfiction gives people to write and enjoy writing, but one of the things I hate more than anything is when an author has no idea which country they are writing about. Harry Potter was written by a British woman and it is set in Britain. In the UK we have a different schooling system, we don't graduate until we leave university, the age of consent is 16 (although there are still laws around student teacher relationships, which can be magically worked around with fanfiction), the legal age of majority is 18 and you can drink at 18 (in the wizarding world the age of majority is 17). And we don't drive SUVs, and if we did we can't drive until we're 17. We have a different legal system and there are many US terms which just don't apply here.
As a Brit, I often find myself getting annoyed when I read authors failing to research the country they are writing about properly. It would be like me writing a US political story and referring to a politician as a member of parliament rather than a member of congress or a Senator. Just because it's fanfiction doesn't mean you should be lazy. Part of the fun is research. So please don't mention Hermione's graduation (unless she's been to university) or big celebrations surrounding Halloween outside of Hogwarts. And we don't have Thanksgiving. And if you are going to name a town or county in the UK please find out if it is in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland (or even Ireland) and find out how far away it is from London or Hogwarts (approximately).
