Currently: Due to exams, I won't be uploading anything until late May. I'll still come on every now and then, but that's it.
I'll mostly be focused on writing the stories in the Titanium universe because right now that's all I'm really obsessed about. At present I've started working on Of Pokémon and Men, which takes place in the same universe later (Unova), Promises to Keep (Kanto) and Such Great Heights (Hoenn), both of which take place before, and Waving Flag, which takes place around the same time as Titanium in Johto. Then there's the stories that come after them, as well as the backstories, the universe dissections and the sidestories for Orre and Ranger Regions and possibly the Mystery Dungeons and shoot me with a Nerf gun now.
Also plotting out a Pokémon story based around something similar to the South Korean ferry accident, and what could have maybe been. Or just miserable. Will probably be published on the fifth anniversary of the tragedy at the rate it's being written, at which time everyone will have forgotten about it.
Someone shoot me for my stupidity I'm working on a Diamond Nuzlocke in the style of Red by Curse of the Ninth and it's not like I need to finish the other regions nope I'm a Sinnoh girl. I'll hopefully start getting this up around summer.
My avatar is a picture of a member of the Shadow Triad and Rosa. I cropped it selectively to casually remove Colress from the original picture, which is apparently no longer up on Pixiv. I found the original picture when I ran into the one Youtube video pairing them together (which lasts 29 seconds) so I paused it and got a screenshot of the image before obsessing over it and finally getting the guts to make a Pixiv account and search for it. I didn't draw it, it doesn't belong to me, it belongs to whoever owns it, if you're reading this please let me use it it's so pretty and I love it.
Check out some of my friends on this site! In alphabetical order; cloudy eve, delcatty546, Fluehatraya, iciiing, Iluvian Melody, InPerfectSilence, MizuneMinamiki, Personality Test, solitaryloner, Time Signature and Unyielding Wish.
Be on the lookout for Ten's Hidden Gifts. If you do a certain something (answer a certain question in a review/be the first to review a fic that I chose/mention something hidden in the story) you automatically receive a fic from me. You'll know that you won one of these if I respond to your review with a message telling you about it.
Sorry, anonymous reviewers, as much as I love you guys, I can't make the same deal for you.
And if I ever promised something - a continuation of a fic, a sequel, a prequel, a side story, a gift, anything and it's not listed on this profile, you better send me a message telling me about it or I'll forget. Completely.
If you want to translate my stories - go right ahead, as long as you PM me to get my permission first, and credit me, then I'm good. Don't worry - I don't bite.
Latest couple obsession - Absol!Shadow Triad Member x Rosa, which is my avatar. Except they're ridiculously hard to write for. Damn it. And Aarune x Zinnia is fun too, and easier than AZ x Zinnia (although I still love it). And Alain x Manon is just a heart-stopping aww for me.
I also want to see some kind of Lisia, Curtis/Christoph and Yancy/Nancy interaction, especially after seeing this one picture somewhere. I like Lisia paired with NPC!Brendan as well, for some reason.
My headcanon is that Roxie and her band are a little like Taylor Momsen and the Pretty Reckless.
Another headcanon of mine is that Professor Elm is a little like Spencer Reid.
One day, when I have free time, I'd like to really get into the Sailor Moon and Powerpuff Girls fandom. Haha free time like that's happening any time soon.
Corner of Shameless Advertisement Because I am so Grateful you wrote me a Gift Fic/Dedicated this to me/Wrote it after I requested it (PM/cyber-yell at me if I forgot to put you on here)
I'd just like to say that I feel loved.
Gift/Request Fics in Progress (PM me if I forgot about what I promised you; but don't lie.)
Glory of Lorien - A funny fic for either Phantom/Mercedes or Luminous/Mercedes
Stories that have been translated into another language by other authors
Checklist/Goals/Plans for Future Fics (Not guaranteed, just entertained)
The Witch Pandora (Akako as Pandora)
Burning Leaves - Ever since meeting the Hoenn Champion, Serena Boudreau has been obsessed with fire - to the point where her team is severely unbalanced. Oh well. That's what the great bird of destruction is for, to balance out the odds. Pokémon Y. Probably Kalosshipping, but honestly MurderPrincessshipping is just as likely.
Someday - That was what N said. Someday. Well, Hilda Taylor does not believe in waiting around for someday to roll around. She believes in taking matters into her own hands. That worked the last time she tried to fix a problem, but it doesn't this time and she ends up in the Distortion world with only her Pokémon for company. No, the crazy guy with blue hair does not count. [Implied Ferriswheel; Hilda, Cyrus, Reshiram, Giratina]
This was a bad idea/Give(s) You Hell - Hilda Taylor is still missing, even after Team Plasma was taken down for the second time. So, Rosa decides that she's going to look for her in the pretty land of fairies. Only problem - no one wants to let her go alone. And she's taking along two travelling partners that makes everyone think she's gone crazy - namely, Colress and a snarky member of the Shadow Triad.
Darkest Before Dawn: "The question isn't whether you can become champion," he said to me. "The question is, can you lead Sinnoh into a better future? Can you be Dawn, the bringer to a new day?" A story of a girl polishing herself with challenges into the strongest, finest diamond in the world. [Diamond Nuzlocke, hopefully will be started around the end of May/early June.]
Future Stories in the Titanium Universe (In order of priority, titles may change)
Such Great Heights/May Day (titles in work) - Travelling across the region of Hoenn? Easy. Living up to expectations from being a gym leader's daughter? Manageable. Having a god in human form travelling with her while trying to become a hero to save Hoenn from being destroyed in the conflict brought on by opposing ideologies stemming from ancient ethnic tensions? Let's get back to that one. [Emerald-ish, with lots of elements from ORAS mixed in. I'll start publishing this when I reach 180k, or at least get the basic elements of the story (the fourth draft) all written down. Whichever one comes first.]
Promises to Keep - Years ago, his grandfather saved a friend’s life and the two of them swore an oath to each other. Present day, that oath leaves Blue Oak having to deal with his arranged fiancée on top of training, becoming Champion and being his usual awesome self. Said fiancée is a legit princess with ambitions to rival his own. This might actually work out pretty well. [Leaf Green, conflictshipping, but only hints. Being worked on as well, but not as focused on as the Hoenn Fic.]
Waving Flag - Training is at an all-time low in the Johto region. At this rate, the region might as well as go back to being Kanto's flunky, right? Not if Lyra has something to say about it. But since people don't exactly listen to thirteen year old girls from small towns, she's just going to have to become Champion and prove that Johto isn't just a region you can ignore. [Heart Gold, at the very least hint at Soulsilvershipping]
Of Pokémon and Men - Seventeen isn't too late of an age to start training no matter what those youngsters say. See? Even that good looking N guy started late. [Black, inspired by Of Monsters and Men and some of their songs, hints of ferriswheel and dualrival.]
Tabula Rosa - Two years ago, Rosa's entire life changed - but perhaps for the better. Now, in order to protect her new life she must earn all eight badges in the Unova region in less than a year. But there are things stirring in Unova, and her old life seems to be coming out into the light despite her efforts to move on and start anew. [Black2, pairings secret for now, although ferriswheel and dualrival being mentioned is a given.]
La Belle Dame Sans Merci - Serena, the fire-loving trainer starting her journey in Kalos. Yvonne, the priestess of Yveltal born more than three thousand years ago. Agent Y, an agent of the Sevii Alphabets. And above them all, the burning red mark of destruction and death, the spread wings of the dark bird. [Y, Sort of kalosshipping/lacewood/kingsrock because multiple incarnations of Serena exist at the same time, twisty.]
The Miscellaneous Book of Everything Important - and probably not-so-important. My guidebook that explains details in the universe I've created, ranging from Kalos, the Land of Fairies to the Royal Family of the Sevii Islands.
It's my masterpiece/baby/pride and joy/magnum opus/heart and soul/precious. Go review it and I will love you forever.
To better explain and give an extended summary that won't fit in the word limit of the story summary itself, Titanium is a novelization of the Pokémon Platinum game with my own twists. It attempts to give history to the Pokémon world while explaining certain game mechanics, character backstories and social aspects in a world where monsters with magical powers coexist with humans. Champions in Sinnoh have gone secret rather than announcing their identities due to a terrorist attack years ago that sparked changes in the world. It follows the travels of a thirteen year old girl, Dawn, who starts her journey fully intending to become Champion in order to shake the world out of the fear.
Dawn isn't just a girl who goes travelling and earning badges with her Pokémon for the shiggles, or because someone - a friend, a parent, a gruff professor she ran into - forced her to. From the start she's decided that she wants to become Champion. She studies, she seeks help, she trains. She's a happy girl and a young teenager, but she has a dream she really wants to achieve, and is aware that her goal is going to take her through some rough paths in life.
At the same time, however, she still retains her idealism. Dawn truly loves Pokémon, and wants to be a trainer instead of following her famous mother's footsteps as a coordinator, and to her the world is sometimes a bit black-and-white in the way it is for the less experienced, younger eyes. Dawn is, despite her wishes and efforts to become a cool and confident, undefeatable Champion, still a child going out into the real world and being met with reality, which isn't always nice. Through her journey she's going to go through some things, which, for the better or worse, will change her and make her grow. She's going to form strong bonds, suffer some losses and going to have to find the strength to carry on defending her beliefs when her heart's breaking and she's shaking with fear.
Likewise, two boys her age, Lucas and Barry, also travel around Sinnoh, learning and developing. Barry, Dawn's close childhood friend and rival, wants to be Champion as well, because Champion, despite the fears that came after the terrorist attack, still retains that connotation of 'strength' and 'best'. However, his main goal is to become stronger than his father, the famous trainer Palmer. To Barry, his father is his number one role model and idol, yet he is also a frontier that has to be defeated for Barry to truly come out of his shadow and become his own person. It takes a lot of strong will to stand up and find the courage to face on a figure as imposing as a famous, talented father, and Barry will develop that strength as he goes through his own trials.
Lucas, the last (but not least) member of the trio isn't a trainer in the competitive sense who makes a living battling and training Pokémon to fight, but rather understands that his future lies somewhere in the Pokémon academics since that's where his passion is. He still trains his Pokémon and loves them very much, but he doesn't battle unless he has to because his first priority is academia. While he travels, however, he learns how to better deal with the pressure of his father's expectancies by standing up for himself instead of meekly letting the older man walk all over him. He's a smart boy with a lot of potential, but because he's always been oppressed by his father's lack of belief in him, he's never believed in himself. While meeting other people and getting encouraged, he'll hopefully be able to develop more self-confidence.
And, because no Pokémon game is ever complete until you have the infestation of grunts, you have the enemy that our protagonists face - Team Galactic, who plans on extinguishing the spark in all living beings called 'Spirit'. They exploit loopholes and hide in the shadows to get away with what they do. They use science and technology to categorize and dissect legends, scoffing at the beliefs behind the myths and disrespecting the strength of faith. They research gods but scoff at their existence, importance and power. They use emotions to recruit their base of power, and aim that strength at the goal of ridding the world of emotion and feeling. In a way, they're a paradox. In the beginning they appear as nothing but a bunch of annoying thugs who don't have very much in the brains department, but as the story progresses, it becomes clearer just how much the uniform, conforming Team Galactic who strive to stamp out spirit and try to create a world for themselves contrasts with the more vibrant protagonists.
Let's not forget the Pokémon. Each magical monster has a personality and a backstory of its own. They are not mindless creatures to be just stuffed into balls and left to rot, only brought out to make the character look good. They are just as much important parts of the story as the main characters themselves. You have the arrogant Neptune, the proud and temperamental Sekhmet, the lax but loyal Champ, the shy yet sweet Charlotte and so many others. They may have different screen times, but their importance doesn't change based on how much they fight or what they're like.
If you've read this all, but haven't read Titanium yet, go ahead and give it a try. Sure, it's extremely long, but given that you just read what is essentially a preface to the story, you might as well. And, to tie it back to what I've said in the beginning, go review it.
