Author has written 35 stories for One Piece, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who.
I wrote a 'the Divide' (by Anjelle) parody. Read it here.
Sometimes I get questions so commonly that I just give up sending answers back to the askers individually, and instead, I have decided to make an FAQ list that I can direct people to. Each question will have both a long answer and a short answer. This list will be expanded as needed, and just PM me if you have a follow up or even unrelated question that isn't on the list.
1. Is 'What You Get For a Milk Carton' AceLu or just brotherly?
Short Answer: Both, at least on some level.
Long Answer: Since the early chapters, I have been intentionally hinting at something a bit deeper than brotherly feelings (most apparent, I think, in chapter seven). However, nothing is going to come of this, and I don't even plan to make it explicit. The idea to incorporate this came to me when I heard about this psychological theory that blood relations who meet later in life rather than knowing each other growing up are more likely to develop romantic feelings for each other than two unrelated people. Still, I didn't want to make it an actual romance fic, because A) I'm not entirely confidant writing romance (Red and Black is thus far my only attempt), B) It didn't fit the story I wanted to write (The end has been set since before it was published, and putting Ace and Luffy in a romantic relationship would just make that end horrifically sad holy shit), and C) There are readers who just like it as brotherly and don't want to read a romance. Therefore, I decided to keep it at a subtextual level so that it is only there for those who look for it, and otherwise, they just have an unusually close brotherly relationship.
2. Will you update 'Wild Blood' soon?
Short Answer: Eventually.
Long Answer: 'Wild Blood' has always been a side story for me (as in to work on at my own leisure). I explicitly stated this in the first chapter, and even told people not to expect rapid or even regular updates, and yet I still get reviews from people who either think the fic is dead or beg me to update it soon. Here are a few reasons 'Wild Blood' isn't updated all that regularly: 1. It is my last priority. 2. I hate writing cuteness, and my only experience with infants and small children is that they partake in a lot of cuteness. The story is going to follow Ace and Luffy as they grow up, so it won't always be cute, but currently while they are still babies I find it tedious to write about them. 3. It is my last priority. 4. My schedule is erratic. I'm working on a huge project, trying to write for my other stories, doing regular schoolwork, and (kind of) trying to maintain a social life (somewhat). 5. IT IS MY LAST PRIORITY.
3. Do you plan on continuing 'Overcast Mind' or will you leave it as a one-shot?
Short Answer: ...Maybe.
Long Answer: I love the idea, and I love writing crossovers, and I know vaguely where I could go with it. However, I've had little drive to get to it, and I'm a little sketchy on the details of the continuation. If I ever did continue it, then the chapter that's currently posted would necessarily become the prologue. There seems to be enough support for more material that if I wrote more there would definitely be people happy to read it, but I just don't know whether I ever will. Again, my schedule is erratic, and I have no clue if I'll have the time to plan, write, edit, and post more chapters.
4. How strong are Alt!ASL and the Wild Cards in Shape & Collide compared to Canon!Luffy and his crew?
Short Answer: They're on the same level.
Long Answer: Keep in mind that Alt!ASL have been sailing together for five years; they're extremely in tune with each other, which is a huge asset since they fight as a team, rather than alone as Canon!Luffy does. The three of them together are definitely enough to put Canon!Luffy down for the count. Individually, however, Ace and Sabo are equal to Canon!Lu, maybe a bit weaker due to not being used to fighting without their tag-team partners. Alt!Lu is definitely weaker, due to a disadvantage-to-be-revealed-in-chapter-three. As for the WCP vs the SHP, generally, any member of one is about equal to any member of the other — though the WCP has a slight advantage because they have more members. But it's basically impossible to call one stronger than the other, and the crews, overall, are pretty much equals.
5. Can you write another chapter for 'Red and Black'? Please?
Short Answer: No.
Long Answer: No.
