Author has written 10 stories for NCIS.
Hi, out there!
There are so many things I coud tell you about me... so if you're interested keep reading :)
My name is Eva, I am 19 years old and - No - English is not my first language. I have been learning how to use English since I was in fifth grade, which was 8 years ago. When I first started reading fanfiction I thought that someday I would be able to write in English like a native speaker would. I now know that that will never be the case, but I refuse to write in another language as I just can't do it. My stories won't be deleted, not because I like them very much - I don't - but because I can see how far I've come by reading what I wrote a year ago. I never really feel completely comfortable publishing my stories without a beta-reader, even if I have some really gread ideas, simply because I don't want to butcher the language as I'm sure I did in some of my stories.
NCIS, Castle, NCIS: LA, Bones
Those two are my addictions. I also like criminal minds and Sherlock(BBC) but I am not watching the new episodes of cm anymore(I stopped during season five). I read a lot of fanfiction, probably more than I should, considering that I am still in school and have other things to do. I mostly read on my phone on the way to school though so I think I can manage.
I love to chat with people from all over the world. I think it's fascinating!
I find it funny that people seem to think that someone whose first language isn't English has to translate every single word they're reading into their first languge in order to understand a text. I can only speak for me, but when I read or write, I also think in English, there is absolutely no translating going on ;) Quite the contrary actually as I seem to have developed a problem that I would call word-finding-disorder with my native language. Sometimes I want to say something but I can't, because I simply can't find the word in my language in my brain... Strange... If you are not a naive speaker; does that ever happen to you?
I am going to go back to my reading now. Happy heartattack if you decide to go ahead and read my stories ;) [No, seriously: They're bad!]
Thank you for reading this through!

Oh, and one last thing; Don't wonder why you get my messages at like 4:00 in the morning, I'm most likely in a different time zone than you are.
UPDATE late 2014
I am no longer very active here, so if I don't answer your messages it's probably because I haven't seen them ;)
