Author has written 3 stories for Lord of the Rings.
Wow, I haven't updated my profile in a VERY long time! I looked today and it still said I was a senior in high school!
Alright, so here's my current information; just in case anybody was interested.
I'm twenty one!
I am currently in college with hopes of one day opening a bookstore/bakery (I love to cook and I love to write, so I am combining my passions)
I am a big Lord of the Rings fan. I never read it before the movie came out, so I guess I have to thank my sister for making me watch it with her, because I had no interest in seeing a movie that was three hours long; in the end, it turned out being pretty good. I read the Hobbit when I was in elementary school, but I think because I HAD to read it, I didn't enjoy it as much. I know this because I read both it and LOTR later on and loved them. Fantasy is a favourite genre for me because sometimes you just need to escape from reality for a while, you know.
I'm a vollunteer for the Toronto Film Festival. It's fun being a part of something like that and getting to talk to people who are so passionate about what they do. Everyone involved in it is amazing, and are some of the most dedicated and fantastic people I've ever met in my life. I'm a huge movie buff, which I'm sure is obvious; I like all sorts of films. Romantic Comedy, Drama, Suspense, Thriller (by thriller, I don't mean horror; slasher flicks don't do it for me), Foreign, Documentary; they all serve a purpose. Currently, I'm ranking "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Blood Diamond" as the best I've seen in a long time; both left me questioning my own actions and made me want to be a part of something worth while. But sometimes, as I said before, you just need to sit back and enjoy yourself, and for that, I suggest a feel good film like "Little Miss Sunshine" or "Pirates of the Caribbean" (you got me, I'm a Johnny Depp fan! He's hilarious in that movie, and he's a blast to watch). All that being said, I cannot go through a list of movie picks without mentioning my most favourite film of all time, and that is "The Princess Bride" Anyone who's seen it can tell you why it's a classic, and if you haven't seen it, GO RENT IT! It's great! ... wow, I seem like a movie critic, don't I? I'll stop now.
What else?? Hmm..
If I think of something else, I'll add it, but until then, buhbye!
