Author has written 17 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL.
We're here to post up our new fanfic, Yu-Gi-Oh! Delta, which is based in a similar world to Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, but with a few key differences. For instance, we use our own set of Numbers, our own set of characters (all colour-coded for your convenience), and our own cards and archetypes, as well as cards from the actual card game. For the best viewing results, the stories should be read in the order that they were uploaded, starting with the earliest.
For those who are curious, there are indeed five writers. We all work through this account, and each of the main characters is based on one of us. Some of the other main characters are also based on real life people, and if they have an account here (and, of course, with their permission), we will credit them next to the character description below.
We have now set up a Chatango page for general chatting about Delta-related things. Please don't abuse this privilege - just be nice and friendly to each other, and we'll get along great. Anyone who wishes to join in, here's the link: yugiohdelta.chatango.com
We will never use a card in the fanfic unless it satisfies one of the following criteria:
(A) The card was created by the official Yu-Gi-Oh! producers, Konami et al. (these cards will be displayed in normal font).
(B) The card was created by us (these cards will be displayed in bold).
(C) The card was created by another fan, and that fan has given us explicit permission to use their card (these cards will be displayed in bold, and the original creator will be credited in the footnotes).
In case some of you are confused, this is how we'll structure it. Any cards that were created by us (or another fan) will be displayed in bold in the text of each chapter it appeared in. In the footnotes of that chapter, we'll include a full reference of that card's stats and effects.
We will attempt to upload most of the cards (and all of the Numbers) that we create to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Maker Wiki, so look out for them. In addition, if you wish to use any of our author-created cards in fanfics or other related literacy works, just drop us a message. Most of the time, we'll be more than happy to allow you to do so, and even provide tips where necessary. We'd love to see our cards getting more screentime outside this fanfic.
The strongest of the five. Matt has messed-up black hair, and has brown eyes. He wears black jeans, a long-sleeved white shirt (with the sleeves often rolled up), and a black open vest over the top of it. He takes dueling very seriously, never allowing himself to deviate from the correct path. He is often a calm and stoic person, especially when facing enemies, but certainly has his emotional side. He is frustrated at how everyone treats him as a hero and an idol rather than an actual friend, and his temper reaches its peak when he receives Number 51: Dark Excalibur. After this, he meets Professor Usur, and consequently becomes a Number hunter, along with the other four members of the group. Matt plays a Warrior Deck, containing cards from the Eoseuleum archetype, which work on an anti-Spell Card strategy, able to unleash their greatest powers when the opponent uses many Spell Cards.
The 2nd strongest of the five. Katie has startlingly red hair, and is often seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt, a scarlet mini-skirt, and a red jacket for cold days. She is in a relationship with James, but they don't develop their feelings for each other until they each receive a Number, which amplifies their emotions. However, her jealousy is also amplified, and she ends up dueling and consequently hospitalising another girl that she believed was trying to steal James. They then meet Professor Usur (who helps stop the Number's influence) as well as the other three, and become Number hunters. Katie plays a Gemini Deck, containing cards from the Solstice archetype, which uses FIRE Spellcasters and works in tandem with the Gemini theme to produce the best Xyz Summoning results.
The weakest of the five. James has shoulder-length brown hair, and a lot of stubble around his chin that show the beginnings of a beard. He wears ripped jeans, a beige tunic, and a camouflage jacket, which often makes him look pretty ridiculous. He very rarely duels. He is fairly lazy, yet is quite the computer wiz. He is in a relationship with Katie, but they don't develop their feelings for each other until they each receive a Number, which amplifies their emotions. He is concerned of the Number's influence over Katie, especially when it causes her to badly injure another girl. They then meet Professor Usur (who helps stop the Number's influence) as well as the other three, and become Number hunters. James plays a Thunder Deck, containing cards from the Atomic archetype, which works on the theory of quarks and fundamental particles to combine into various Fusion and Xyz Monsters.
The 4th strongest of the five. Dan has wind-swept brown hair, and usually wears navy blue baggy jogging trousers, plus a white t-shirt and a longer-than-average jacket, which is mostly blue but tinged with brown. He duels seriously, but can see the fun side of dueling. He is a logical and calculating duelist. He has a strong friendship with Leah, until the influence of the Numbers awakens doubts inside them that they never even knew they had. In an attempt to get rid of them, they duel, but end up badly hurting one another. Once Professor Usur removes the Number's influence, he is able to think clearly again, and their friendship resumes as strong as ever. They then become Number hunters. Dan plays a Dragon Deck, containing cards from the Polaris archetype, which are able to swarm effectively using Counters, and can perform powerful Synchro Summons.
The 3rd strongest of the five. Leah has long brown-blonde hair, and can usually be seen wearing jeans and a white shirt, which has long green sleeves that seem slightly too long for her. She also wears a black jogging jacket tied around her waist. She loves dueling for fun, but knows when the situation calls for serious dueling. She has a strong friendship with Dan, until the influence of the Numbers awakens doubts inside them that they never even knew they had. In an attempt to get rid of them, they duel, but end up badly hurting one another. Once Professor Usur removes the Number's influence, she is able to think clearly again, and their friendship resumes as strong as ever. They then become Number hunters. Leah plays a Spirit Deck, containing cards from the Borealis archetype, which can quickly appear on the field despite the drawbacks of Spirits, and give way to the powerful mega-Spirits her Deck possesses.
A rogue Number hunter who has set himself against Professor Usur and the Deltas heart and soul. He has untidy green hair, and wears a grey trench coat (outlined with black) over a plain white t-shirt and jeans. His eyes are a dazzling blue, and he has a scar across his left eye. He has a robotic right arm, which he uses to extract Numbers from holders, although this method does tend to cause damage to the person. Skyler plays a Machine Deck, using monsters that are very adept at modifying their Levels in order to Summon his strongest Numbers, which he values over the weaker ones.
Doctor Lithon (Superjad)
A scientist and a Number hunter. Lithon has shoulder-length brown hair, and is most commonly seen wearing a bright yellow lab coat. He has made it his mission to research the Numbers, to discover all the secrets they hold, and to eventually use them to give him ultimate power. Lithon plays a Chaos Deck, using cards from the Epignosai archetype, which have a lockdown that focuses on banishing certain Trap and Monster Cards, which in turn can only use their effects while banished.

There are also the filler stories. Reading these is completely optional, but for convenience, we've put a note at the top of the first chapter of each filler story, which will tell you where that story fits into the chronology. Hopefully, that'll make it easier for those that are just picking up our stories from the start.
