My thoughts on writing...
I love writing! It is my passion. I have written 7 novels and I am currently working on a fantasy novel which I *gulp* intend to submit to a publishing house.
Fanfiction to me is an escape from life. A moment to get away and immerse myself in a new, exciting world where anything can happen. I enjoy romance, drama, supernatural, suspense, horror, comedy, fantasy, pretty much everything except sci-fi (sorry sci-fi fans! :).
That same escape is what I hope to accomplish through writing fanfiction. I like to take the reader and immerse them, hopefully, into a world they've never visited before. My goal is to entertain, plain and simple.
I do not take fanfiction seriously in regards to ships and stans. This is fiction, a chance to get away from what is expected. I don't like giving away the ending by listing the endgame at the beginning. If I am writing a dramatic piece, why would I want the reader to not be caught up in the drama because they already know that everything works out in the end? Stories are a journey and the fun is in getting there, not knowing where the journey ends before it even begins.
To the readers who enjoy reviewing anonymously in order to write scathing reviews, I ask that you use your username to give me the chance to write back to you so we can discuss whatever you have a problem with.
I have my account set up so I can approve or disapprove anon reviews. If a review is only written to be pointlessly insulting, don't bother writing it, I will only delete it.
Come on, folks, fanfiction is not my job, you haven't paid to read my work, give me a break! I put work into these stories, hours of plotting, researching, writing, editing, rewriting, all to put out something I really hope you enjoy. If you put so many hours, so much work and heart into something, would you want someone to come along and insult your work simply because it doesn't turn out like they wanted? Try to remember that there is a person on the other side of these stories. A woman who sits here, excited to share and read the reviews of people who share in her passion. I sit here and read reviews like "you're a horrible writer, I will never read anything you write ever again". How do you think that feels? I appreciate honest critiques but pointless insults are a pathetic attempt at bullying. Your petty words are not exactly inspiring, it won't change anything.
If you do not like the direction the story is going, the characters, the plot, the relationships, etc, please STOP READING. It takes less effort to simply stop reading and go find a new story, then to stick around chapter after chapter simply to write insulting reviews. We're all adults here, right? Good.
I WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCING ENDGAME RESULTS ON MY STORIES. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THOSE SAFETY NETS, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED HERE.
Thank you to those readers who have stuck with me since I discovered and began writing fanfiction. Thank you to the new readers who have given me a chance. I have a ton of ideas that I will be working on in the coming year and I hope you enjoy them as much as I will enjoy writing them.
I LOVE STORY SUGGESTIONS AND PROMPTS! So don't be shy! It doesn't matter what genre or pairing, go ahead and share! I will respond to any messages and if I use your prompt, you will, of course, get a shout out for the idea.
LOVE AND PEACE TO YOU ALL!

“If you do not breathe through writing, if you do not cry out in writing, or sing in writing, then don't write, because our culture has no use for it.”
