Hello!!!! Nice to see so many smiling faces. At least, I hope they are smiling. SMILE, It's summer!!! Or at least, I think it's summer...it snowed a few days ago. SNOWED.
My name is LauralynShawn. Not really, that is just my username. It also happened to be the name of my first OC in one of my first fanfics based off the Darren Shan series. That story has been taken down because, well, I never finished it.
That's the thing with me. I get really excited about an idea, I start it, and I don't finish it. I do it with fanfiction, fiction, homework, basically everything. BUT, I'm trying to stop by forcing myself to finish what I write. As you can see if you scroll down a bit, I finally finished my first fanfic a while ago, and it's time to start a second!
While we are on my favorite topic. (ME) Here is a list of my favorite stuff:
Music: AC/DC, Metallica, Adele, Fun., 3 Doors Down (I LOVE Kyrptonite).
Movies: The Hobbit, Avengers!, Iron Man 1,2,&3 Men in Black 1,2&3, and Sherlock Holmes 1&2. STAR TREK! (I just became a fan by watching Into Darkness. Now I'm watching all the older ones.)
TV: Sherlock, Doctor Who, the Avengers! Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Merlin, and Torchwood.
Books(!!!): Skulduggery Pleasant, Percy Jackson, Sherlock Holmes, and the Ranger's Apprentice Series. Plus, who doesn't love the classics of LOTR and The Hobbit? I also like the Darren Shan series, oh and anything by Brandon Sanderson. He is a phenomenal writer, and I absolutely LOVE his Mistborn series.
These are my stories and their status:
The Guy and Gal in 221B Drabbles: Short drabbles (well, not all are very short) about fem!John and guy!Sherlock and their adventures together. These stories have a much lighter tone than The Edge of Insanity, and are much more humorous. Each of these chapters were random bursts of my imagination when it was going crazy.
New Flatmate, New Name: A rather long chapter of basically backstory for the setting of these drabbles, and how Jennifer Watson gets her nickname John.
The Case of the Missing Beers: John Watson needs a beer. Craziness ensues.
Seven Stages of Sherlock: Exactly what it says on the tin. ;)
The Edge of Insanity: Jon Watson and her reunion with Sherlock Holmes after his jump off Bart's roof. It is a fast paced story with torture, angst, and sorrow all rolled up into one big ball. I reread it today, and I still like it, even though parts of it seemed not as good as they once did. I may(or may not) continue the travels of Jon Watson and Sherlock Holmes set in this world.
