Author has written 23 stories for Harry Potter, Fairy Tales, Little Men, and Anne of Green Gables series.
'So I will gladly give all that I have and all that I am. Will you love me less for loving you too much?' (2 Corinthians 12:15, CEV)
As you've probably guessed if you've noticed how few and far between updates have become ... yes, I am on an indefinite fanfiction hiatus while I sort out that thing called real life. But never fear! I am always reading, often lurking (just send me a PM) and I will hit that 'publish' button again! (Yeah, famous last words.) Seriously though, I do appreciate all the follows, favourites, reviews and kind messages. It always makes me happy to see that people decide to read and end up enjoying what I've written.
My name is Susannah, though I went by Lily F. Lux for several years in fanfic spheres. Ambitious like Hermione Granger, a daydreamer like Anne Shirley and a compulsive keeper of notebooks like Harriet M. Welsch. Been writing fanfic since 2011 and original fics for even longer. Willing to step outside my comfort zone to a certain extent. Practised procrastinator (try saying that five times fast) and lover of crispy prawn chilli. My current pen name is a reminder to stay humble ("but the truth is that your illusions of grandeur are just delusional musings at best"). If you can tell me where that line is from (without looking it up!), you are awesome.
My favourite Harry Potter fic of all time is Harry Potter and the Battle of Wills by Jocelyn and her mum.
I am on AO3 (DelusionalMusings) and FictionPress. You can also chat to me on Tumblr (realismandromance) or Twitter (@susannahherself) if you would like.
I, Delusional Musings, have challenged myself! I'm proud to be a part of the HPFC forum (since August 2014). My first home here, though I don't visit much these days.
I usually write stories that are either canon compliant (like 'Worries') or canon divergent (like 'Desperate Measures'). If you thought I wrote something else and it isn't here, check my AO3 page while logged in. None of my works here contain incest, rape, bestiality, slash, sexual content or second person.
A procrastinator plus a stickler for detail equals a slow writer. I do have a good memory, though, so that's a plus.
The First Horcrux is the only story of mine officially on hiatus. I haven't abandoned it; I'm just taking a break.
I am most proud of 'Painfully Abnormal' (In Retrospect part 4), 'The Fiddler and the Fire-Brand', 'Plumfield's Damon', 'Worries', 'For the Sake of Our Son', 'Hand on My Heart' (Up to No Good part 4) and 'Shirley Not', though people seem to think Harry Potter and the Time-Turner, The Muggles' Niece and 'Desperate Measures' are pretty good too.
Some possible future content includes:
Chronicles of Ingleside – a canon-compliant series of one-shots (one for each of the Blythe children, including Joyce)
Harry Potter et le retourneur de temps is Night-of-love's French translation of Harry Potter and the Time-Turner.
'Shirley, nicht' (de.anneofgreengablesfanworks.wikia.com/wiki/Shirley_nicht) is Klap Trap's German translation of 'Shirley Not'.
Written by me for others:
Desperate Measures was written for KeepCalmAndWriteSomething

I love the Anne of Green Gables series (and anything else by LMM), What Katy Did (the first three books), the Little Women books (esp. Little Men), anything by Jackie French, Harriet the Spy, Harry Potter, Isobelle Carmody's The Gathering, Diana Wynne Jones' Chrestomanci series and The Ogre Downstairs, The Min-Min by Mavis Thorpe Clark, Ellen Raskin's The Westing Game, The Chronicles of Narnia, the five original Percy Jackson books, Jenny Nimmo's Children of the Red King series, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Giver Quartet and the Anastasia Krupnik books by Lois Lowry, some stuff by John Marsden, The Wednesday Wars, The Book Thief, Matilda, Frankenstein and anything by E. Nesbit. (And probably many more that I can't remember this instant.)
I have read two and a half John Green books. Looking for Alaska is tolerable, but I can't stand The Fault in Our Stars.
I imagine Di Blythe to be asexual and Shirley Blythe to have autism. I am not particularly a Snape sympathiser, though I think he's a very interesting and dynamic character.
My favourite characters ever include the main trio in HP, Remus Lupin, Albus Dumbledore, Anne Shirley, Philippa Gordon, Jem Blythe, Walter Blythe, Rose Red, Dan Kean, Fritz Bhaer, Cat and Janet Chant, Chrestomanci (Christopher Chant), Harriet M. Welsch, Jane Eyre and Judy Abbott.
My favourite Anne book is Anne of the Island, and my favourite chapter in it is Chapter 14. (Have tissues handy.)
I love: Jo/Bhaer, Anne/Gilbert, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Remus/Tonks, James/Lily and Nat/Daisy, and generally prefer canon compliant stuff over alternate universe.
Some of my favourite animated movies are Howl's Moving Castle, The Prince of Egypt, Rise of the Guardians, Up, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Inside Out and Mulan. Pretty much the only anime I watch are the ones based on books, such as Anne of Green Gables, Before Green Gables, Little Women II: Jo's Boys and Emily of New Moon, though I have seen Spirited Away and like it.
I listen to the Hamilton soundtrack a lot. And I mean a lot. My favourite song on it is 'Right Hand Man', though my favourite one to sing is 'Satisfied'.
