Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, and Fairy Tales.
Hi! My pen name is Lily F. Lux and I am an obsessive Harry Potter fan. I am a half-Asian girl, and I share a birthday with one of my favourite authors, Lucy Maud Montgomery. I am from Australia, which means that if I'm not careful I end up with some Australian English words in my HP fanfics (which I try to write in British English), such as doona, dobbing, eggplant and quite a few more.
I was Sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore (MirrorFlight5090), but I had been expecting Ravenclaw, so I re-Sorted myself twice more, got Slytherin both times, and resigned myself to my fate. :D Actually I love Slytherin now; it just takes a bit of getting used to. But then again, Sorting myself three times is probably an excellent example of Slytherin resourcefulness and determination!
I recently discovered the world of wizard rock (wrock) and am currently loving the songs of Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls and The Butterbeer Experience (look them up, they're awesome). The first wrock song I ever heard was 'What Kind of Name is Hermione?' by The Parselmouths, while my favourite of The Butterbeer Experience would have to be 'The Peverell Story'. As for OBatR, I love all his songs too much.
My favourite book and film from the original series is Prisoner of Azkaban, and I love stories set in Harry's third year (I myself have written two – 'Quidditch, Third Year' and Harry Potter and the Time-Turner).
STORIES IN PROGRESS
'The Battle's End' (sequel to 'The Last Enemy') — a canon-compliant one-shot, told from Ginny's point of view, about the events of the Battle of Hogwarts immediately after Harry is announced to be dead. This story had to be restarted after I lost my first draft when my tablet had to be reset in August 2013, so don't get your hopes up.
The First Horcrux (second in my Evanna Potter series and sequel to The Muggles' Niece) — a second-year story with Harry as a girl in Slytherin. Features the Dursleys as a loving family, Dudley as a wizard and the development of many minor, previously sketchy and underdeveloped characters. It is being updated as each chapter is written. Updates used to be every weekend, but have slowed considerably due to other priorities. The story does have a plan and a definite premise, although many of the finer details are undecided.
There By My Side — a collection of one-shots focusing on the canon relationships between Harry, Ron and Hermione (most specifically, Harry and Hermione). May or may not be entirely canon compliant in terms of actual events. The title comes from a song by Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. Who knows when I'll put it up. Right now I'm trying to focus on The First Horcrux and the story below.
The Lives and Lies of Albus Dumbledore — a partially next-generation story based on a very old theory about the books that was put out before Order of the Phoenix. Albus Potter, along with his cousin Rose, investigates the life of his namesake, Albus Dumbledore. But there are so many loose ends and mysteries. Things just don't tie up. This story will not be put up until it is completed.
Comparisons — a collection of one-shots concerning a handful of people making conscious and sometimes disturbing comparisons between Tom Marvolo Riddle and Harry Potter. It is canon compliant and most likely will be in chronological order. Potential characters include Tom (the barman of the Leaky Cauldron), Mr Ollivander, Albus Dumbledore, Horace Slughorn, Moaning Myrtle (!), the Grey Lady (Helena Ravenclaw). Suggestions are welcome (PM me).
Harry Potter and the Time-Turner
The phrase 'a high and lonely destiny', used in Chapter 20: The Patronus Light, is from The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis. (It was said by both Jadis and Digory's Uncle Andrew at different points in the book.)
The Muggles' Niece
The title is a play on The Magician's Nephew by C. S. Lewis, which is also the book Evanna is reading in Chapter 3: One Wild Bus Ride.
The First Horcrux
Daphne's line about Astoria building a rocketship to Mars is a reference to A Very Potter Musical by Team Starkid.
I get my information from J. K. Rowling herself, which includes the original series, the three companion books, interviews, transcripts, podcasts, her website and Pottermore. My main online sources are the Harry Potter Lexicon and Accio Quote.
