"Where is Shadowfax?" said Gandalf.
"Running wild over the grass," they answered him. "He will let no man handle him. There he goes, away down by the ford, like a shadow among the willows."
I'm pretty much retired from this site. I'll finish the stories I still have open, but I have no real plans at the moment to post anything new. Most all of my writing activities are currently directed at getting my original stories published (so that I can justify spending all my time writing). All the stories I've posted anywhere on the internet are archived through my website.
I'm from the way old-school FFN, so I don't always remember all the new features that let authors easily reply to reviews and stuff like that. If I didn't message you back to let you know I appreciated your review, I am so sorry. I loved it, I really did, and I am so psyched that you thought what I wrote was worthy of your commenting on it. Whether you liked it or not, for me the highest praise is knowing that what I wrote was striking enough that it generated a response in the reader. So, thank you. =]
As I'm reminded that people still read them, I am reformatting some of my older stories.
I've officially given up on trying to write more for "VanyelYasha." It seemed a really fun idea when I first thought it up, but it's died the slow, awkward death that many of my more abstract ideas die. It's buried somewhere in the far, back corner of my mind... and perhaps someday I will drag it from that grave and attempt to resurrect it.
status: "Ivory Fanged" is wrapping up. The last 3 chapters all kind of go together so I'll try to not post them until I at least have rough drafts of them all, that way there shouldn't be too much of a wait between chapters.
When I finish that, "Collide" should be moving to center stage. I am both incredibly lazy and an unbelievable perfectionist, and those traits have come to a head most spectacularly in the writing of this story. While I’ve always known from the beginning how I wanted the story to end I was also always a little fuzzy on how the middle was going to go. So that middle wandered far from center and into a dead end, where I wasn’t sure how to connect the threads that were there to the ending I had already written in my head. At this point I'm mostly done fixing it, I just have to finish it, at which point I will repost the entire thing. I plan to finish it, there's just no promise as to how long that will take. Add it to your Alert list and forget about it, and I will finish it someday.
