Author has written 3 stories for Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Pride and Prejudice.
Age: Older but not old.
Sport: Basketball, all the way. I LOVE THE L.A. LAKERS.
Books: Well, Harry Potter (duh), Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, and any other book that catches my eye. As far as classics go, I love Pride and Prejudice as well as Little Women and Sense and Sensibility.
John Green is one of my idols, most definitely. I started off watching him on YouTube and I admire how he overcomes anxiety in order to further his career and inspire all of Nerdfighteria. He's one of the few authors that can effortlessly balance humor, sadness, wistfulness, and so many other emotions in a matter of pages.
Movies: Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, The Help, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Breakfast Club, any and all classic Disney movies, and Bend it Like Beckham (I SHIP JOE AND JESS SO HARD). Big fan of coming-of-age movies.
TV Shows: Love comedies. The Mindy Project, the Office, Big Bang Theory, the Neighbors, Modern Family, Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Saved by the Bell. Know where I'm going with this?
Music: I'm kind of all over the place. Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, A.J. Rafael, Beyonce, Tori Kelly, Beyonce, and too many others.
Also show tunes.
I love show tunes.
Hobbies: writing, reading, playing and listening to music, basketball, hanging out with friends and family, watching TV. Sleeping. The usual adolescent stuff.
More Pointless Information and Random Rambling
I've always loved writing, but maybe that started with reading. I think what holds so much appeal is the way certain writers can bring their words to life. But, really, what is a good writer? Is it just someone who can string words together and make them sound nice? I've always wondered that.
I live by the 2 Fs: family and friends. They're important to me and key to my happiness, to put it lightly.
Well, me? I'm the good student who follows the rules and gets good grades and works hard in everything. And it pays off. I'm cool to some, weird to others, and just "there" to all the rest. I psychoanalyze things too much sometimes...other times I don't notice enough. I'm funny when there are things to play off of.
I'm into theatre...where else can you be a complete psycho and get away with it? I like Les Miserables, Wicked, Seussical, Grease, Fame, etc.
Music, even the word is amazing. I love music because it's a mix of words that describe us, our feelings, and the melody that brings those feelings alive. I play guitar, ukulele, violin, and throat (reference to Victorious).
It's a bit of a cliche, but I like rainy days with hot chocolate underneath a blanket with a movie on. But I also like basketball outside in 70 degree weather. I'm not normal. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty weird. But I think it's normal for everyone to have a bit of weird in them, if you follow me. I'm also sort of crazy. Not insane crazy, more of a hyper-peppy-crazy.
And I'm so not sarcastic.
Shippings (in no particular order)
Closet hopeless romantic. Guilty. Then again, be honest, who isn't? By the way, I tend to go along with canon pairings. I'm boring that way.
Michael/Holly - The Office (They're so weird and so perfect)
Jim/Pam - The Office (Jim's just...you know?)
Joe/Jess - Bend it Like Beckham (Joe's sweet)
Darcy/Lizzie - Pride and Prejudice (Only one of the greatest love stories of all time)
Charles/Jane - Pride and Prejudice (Compatibility at its best!)
Amy/Laurie - Little Women (Didn't expect it when reading the book. Much like Harry and Ginny.)
Ben/Felicity - Felicity: An American Girl (Loved this series when I was a kid. Always thought about their future. Thank goodness for FanFic.)
Kit/Stirling - Kit: An American Girl (See above)
Harry/Ginny - Harry Potter (JUST FREAKING YES.)
Ron/Hermione - Harry Potter (Ditto.)
James/Lily - Harry Potter (Obviously)
Percy/Annabeth - Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Well yeah)
Jason/Piper - Heroes of Olympus (Compatible as well. Jason's cool enough, just think Piper needs to be a little more independent.)
Peeta/Katniss - Hunger Games (Again. Compatible. And we all love Peeta.)
Michael/Mia - Princess Diaries (Wish Michael was real)
Ross/Rachel - Friends (Fight. Flirt. Fall in love. Repeat through all ten seasons.)
Mike/Phoebe - Friends (Paul Rudd is awesome)
Marius/Eponine - Les Miserables (Just add tears.)
Percy/Nico - THE ANGST AND THE FEELS AND I JUST CAN'T.
Nico/Jason - in a bromance kind of way.
Leo/Calypso - IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD AND THEN I REALIZED THAT OPPOSITES ATTRACT AND I WAS JUST AWW. He's going to come back for her. He will.
Many more...just can't think of them at the moment.
Song Lyrics That Are Stuck in My Head
"Boy, I hear you in my dreams. I feel you whisper across the sea. I keep you with me in my heart. You make it easier when life gets hard."
-Lucky (Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat)
"I wanna be blown away, I wanna be swept off my feet. I wanna meet the one who makes it hard for me to breathe. I wanna be lost in love, I wanna be your dream come true, I wanna be scared of how strong I feel for you."
-B-e-a-utiful (Megan Nicole)
"I don't know what you do, but you do it well. I'm under your spell."
"There you are, with your light brown hair. I apologize 'cause all that I did was stare. And no, I'm not a creeper, I swear that I'm a keeper. I'm just glad you noticed that I was there."
-Red Roses (AJ Rafael)
"I will not give up hope! I was hooked from the start, when I noticed your kind and your powerful heart."
-Notice Me, Horton (Seussical)
"You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe, shine like gold, buzz like a bee. Just the thought of you can drive me wild. Oh, you make me smile."
-Smile (Uncle Kracker)
"I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love suicide. I'll be better when I'm older. I'll be the greatest fan of your life."
-I'll Be (Edwin McCain)
"The smile on your face lets me know that you need me. There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me. The touch of your hand says you'll catch me whenever I fall. You say it best when you say nothing at all."
-When You Say Nothing At All (Ronan Keating)
"Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars. Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing. It's okay not to be okay."
-Who You Are (Jessie J)
"Yes, the lamest place in the world has lots of flaws but maybe it'll be fine because it brought me to you."
-The Lamest Place in the World (Allie Trimm as Patrice [13 the Musical])
"So if you're out there, I swear to be good to you."
-Dear No One (Tori Kelly)
Thought For the Day
So today I'm auditioning for a musical (Wizard of Oz).
Hanging my head in shame because I haven't updated in a supermegalong time.
Still working on the Wizard of Oz...I play the Guard...
Favorite dance sequence: the Jitterbug
In-progress: PJO version of Mean Girls. Keep a look out for the first chapter!
It is the beginning of January. I am alive. Which is good.
Once again, I'm alive. In case anyone was wondering...
So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Goodbye
Usually, there's so much for me to say that there's never enough time for me to say it all. But, right now, I find myself in an odd situation: I'm drawing a blank as far as things to talk about. Huh. The fact that the possibilities for my profile are so open-ended is leaving me a bit...at a loss for words.
So, until I find more to say, I must anon (if that's the right use for the word).
P.S. Check out some of my favorite people in the Favorite Authors tab down below! They won't disappoint, I promise!
P.P.S. Nick. I shortened the profile. Hope it's less painful now, you dork.
