Greetings! I've been a lurker on this site far too long so I thought it's finally time to make an account and make things easier for myself.
I am a female in my twenties with the mindset of a teen in a lot of ways, living in the US. I'm a reader, not a writer (a fact that had become very obvious to me after I realize I never have a full beginning, middle, and ending, only one or two out of those three parts). I'm an artist, although it's a side of me that's slowly falling into disrepair. Growing up just has a way of doing that to people, although this site is still holding my attention strongly.
I tend to like main pairings of series I read/watch. You name it, I (usually) like it! I'm almost exclusively into het only, especially regarding fanfiction, but I think most yaoi series have amazing art and I do have a soft spot for Bohra Naono's works. I like reading fanfiction so much I will read it for a series I know very little about as long as I am sure the pairing isn't something I object to such as incest. I also tend to
(Note: This list is by no means conclusive and is in no particular order. These pairings are those I actively seek out fan works for. This list doesn't really include couples I like on the side but not enough to look for them specifically.)
Bleach: IchiRuki definitely! Shunsui/Nanao, Byakuya/Hisana, a soft spot for IshiHime. At one point I was tentatively into Renji/Tatsuki but it's since waned, though I still don't mind seeing them together if I run across them, which is very rare.
Baccano!: Oh goodness, let me count the ways. Luck/Eve (the girl is adorably gangsta despite all her good-girl ways, and Luck is just... self-derisively chivalrous. What a delicious combination, especially considering their direct interaction in the novels!), Claire/Chane (bada$$ love-at-first-sight duo), Keith/Katie (the man who practically never speaks falls in love with a pianist for silent movies: she's the sound to his silent movie. Here's my heart, just squeeze the heck out of it, why don't you?), Tick/Maria (childish psychos in love; disturbing sweetness), and of course Isaac/Miria (so naive, so wholehearted, and they live and breathe life! It's also amazing the amount of pies they have their fingers in). For some reason I'm not as interested in the other official pairings (which is not to say that I claim Luck/Eve is official—although they should be, rawr—but that the rest are). This series certainly has oodles of them. I still love them, but not as passionately as the ones mentioned. I mean, helloooo Firo/Ennis? Jacuzzi/Nice? Yeah, I don't get it either.
Durarara!!: Shizuo/Vorona (goodness they're cute; need more love. Shizuo got my heart the moment he started bouncing on Celty's bike in his eagerness to help her. Love, love him!), Izaya/Namie (which is utterly weird as I hate them individually, but like them together. At one point in the anime, I would have given anything to punt Izaya into outer space, whooh boy, and Namie has just as few morals as him).
Naruto: Naruto/Hinata all the way! Shikamaru/Temari (I've started to like 'em ever since they first fought way back when, seriously), Neji/Tenten. I also really, really like Gaara the way he's written in A Growing Affection by Xavon Wrentaile, so much that when I read another fic where he's portrayed as his former psychotic self and got killed off, I was heart-broken. :(
Fullmetal Alchemist: Ed/Winry (so much. Conqueror of Shamballa can just kiss my... foot. I love the manga, love the manga!!), Al/Mei (oh Alphonse, my ideal man! Mei is fierce and hilarious), and Royai, of course (so full of chemistry and UST I could choke), and can't forget Ling/Fan!
Until Death Do Us Part: Mamoru/Haruka. This couple, I have... no words. If I ever have one single OTP, it is this one. If in my life time, no other couple in any fandom got together but Mamoru/Haruka, I will be OKAY with that! There is a lot of stiff competition, but if there is a hottest man in anime for me, it is Mamoru! Funnily enough, he's not really my type personality-wise (which is more Igawa :D), but that's why he and Haruka are even more lovable in my eyes. She can handle him. The girl is admirable to the max. She's smart, determined, vulnerable, strong, beautiful, and is a good cook! And there's still a ways for her to go yet. Who knows what kind of bada$$ery she'll end up being capable of? Love 'em both forever!!
Card Captor Sakura: Eriol/Tomoyo (all thanks to syaoran no hime and Suppi-chan's works), Sakura/Syaoran.
Darker than Black: Hei/Yin (the OVAs! My poor heart! Dem collarbones!).
Dragon Ball: Vegeta/Bulma, Gohan/Videl. I still remember the first time I saw Gohan all grown up. Aah, be still my heart. All that power wrapped in a cute, geeky package? Yes, please!
Inuyasha: Sesshoumaru/Older Rin (although some sweet, familial moments when she's young is nice, too), Inuyasha/Kagome.
Psycho Pass: Kougami Shinya/Tsunemori Akane (my feeeeels, they hurt. These two are lovely, lovely).
Ouran High School Host Club: Tamaki/Haruhi (heck yeah!), a guilty soft spot for Kyouya/Renge, Honey/Reiko (surprisingly adorable). My host of choice would be Mori. He makes my heart goes "squish," ahhh...
Kimi ni Todoke: Shouta/Sawako (like burning!), Ryuu/Chizu (the awkward childhood friend couple, aww. It doesn't hurt that when Ryuu does his knowing smile, I have to fan myself).
Rurouni Kenshin: Aoshi/Misao, Saitou/Tokio (absolutely canon, even in real history, oh yeah).
Sailor Moon: Mamoru/Usagi (forever baybeh!), and all the Shintenou/Senshi pairs. For the latter pairs, the order goes thus from most favorite: Minako/Kunzite, Amy/Zoicite, Rei/Jadeite, and Makoto/Nephrite. They're all delightful!
Skip Beat!: Ren/Kyoko (of course!), and my poor Yashiro doesn't have anyone to love. He can have me! I regularly confess my love to the computer screen when I'm reading a chapter and he appears. It is as sad as it sounds. I'm on the fence with Yashiro/Kanae; I don't mind them as a side couple but I don't go looking for them, either.
Soul Eater: Soul/Maka (hormonal hotness, full of mutual trust and personal issues), Black*Star/Tsubaki, Stein/Marie, Free/Eruka ('cause Free is so yuuum).
Gundam Wing: Heero/Relena, Quatre/Dorothy (wasn't that into it until Revelations by Isis cw, and now I'm starving for them. Perhaps it is time to reread the fic for the fifth time).
D.Gray-Man: Allen/Lenalee. If Allen were real /coughand-of-agecough/, I'd be on my knee asking for his hand in marriage, seriously. These two make me want to cry. I've got to catch up to the manga again. For a while there, I was into Lavi/Miranda (outa left field much?) thanks to some very, very nice fan arts. I actually own a doujinshi for this couple. I was so shocked I found a doujinshi for a couple I like (by the exact artist who made me like them in the first place, no less) at an anime convention that I bought it. It's something that has less than a 1% chance of happening to me in all the conventions I've been to, no joke. Even years later, I'm still stunned about it. It certainly is a unique experience.
Final Fantasy VI: Locke/Celes.
Final Fantasy VII: Vincent/Yuffie (my favorite in this fandom), Cloud/Tifa, Sephiroth/Aeris (this last is blamed entirely on Faith and Feather by Rose Flame; I honestly didn't even think of it before reading the fic. Besides one or two curious forays into a few other fics, I'm now content with just seeing them in F&F only 'cause I like the way she writes them), maybe Rude/Elena. Reeve is a sexy beast!
Final Fantasy VIII: Squall/Rinoa, Seifer/Quistis (aah, so volatile and intense, this couple).
Final Fantasy XIII: This one is tricky. I think Lightning/Hope is very adorable (one of my few older woman/younger man pairs), and have read a few fics for them plus got some very nice fan arts, which usually cinch the deal for me but not yet with this one. But FFXIII-2 is now out, and I don't know what's going on in that one yet, and I like to go with official couples when I can, so I'm holding off on Lightning/anybody for now. By the way, Fang is blindingly gorgeous. I mean, of course the women in FFXIII are all unbelievably beautiful but looking at Fang is like looking at the sun: I can't do it for more than a few seconds at a time. The lady is hawt!
Kingdom Heart: Roxas/Namine, Sora/Kairi.
The World Ends With You: Joshua/Rhyme (thought the character dynamics might be interesting. It turned out they're really cute!), Neku/Shiki (very d'aww as well).
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro: Neuro/Yako. Their casual kinkiness, mostly from Neuro's side, makes them super sexy with no guilt-trip! With such a domineering and overbearing presence as Neuro over you, you can either bend or break into pieces trying to fight back. Yako bent, and became so much stronger and brighter for it. It's a very strange relationship I normally wouldn't care for, but somehow it works and I love that.
Yondemasu yo Azazeru-san: Akutabe/Sakuma. The fan art for them is amazing. They're a rare, mature kind of sexy due to the fact that Rinko is a grown woman, looks like one, and (usually) acts like one, faults and all, unlike the usual teenaged female leads (or male, for that matter). Like Neuro, Akutabe is alpha! I have a small soft spot for Azazel/Sakuma in fan art, too; sometimes it's pretty charming. Question I'd like an answer to: Being the demon of lust, would Azazel be a good lover due to his experience or a bad one from being selfish? No love for Beelzebub, sorry. The guy eats sh!t, literally. I cannot get over this fact, ever.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: Haru/Shizuku (I will huggle them to death). Everybody, read this amazing manga! Every character is refreshingly flawed, sometimes frustrating, oftentimes hilarious, heart-warming and so very relatable. Their story is not a smooth-sailing one. They miss each other on the way a lot, but that only makes the moments when they manage to meet up all the more brilliant. Each of the side characters also shines in their own right. I love them so much! This manga has so many moments that hit me straight in the heart. Hopefully this series will be much more popular now that it has an anime, too.
Hibi Chouchou: Kawasumi/Suiren. Go read this manga, too! Well, maybe take it slowly, one chapter at a time unless your heart is made of stone because otherwise, you will find yourself holding your breath a lot and keel over after too many chapters in a row from the absolute adorableness. I speak from experience. It's sugary fluff at its finest.
Keishichou Tokuhanka 007: Kuze/Fuyuki. It's ridiculous how much I like this couple despite the mediocre plot they're in. What can I say, the romance fanservice is fantastic!
Kongou Banchou: If you ever need a good shot of testosterone, go read this manga! It's underrated and needs so much more love, and it's completed, even. It is fun, bada$$, and extremely GAR! I love all the characters, but if ever a man can come so dang close to beating Mamoru Hijikata's hunkiness record, that man is Yuu Akiyama. He's so insanely attractive I can't stand it. /swoons/ Even when he was mostly evil I couldn't help myself, and even if he didn't get more and more bada$$ I'd still be totally gah-gah over him. This is possibly the only instance where I'm rooting for a guy to stay single so I can have him all to myself in my delusional mind. Considering my love of pairing everyone up, that's saying something.
King of Thorn: Marco/Kasumi (mmm, Marco).
Munto: Munto/Yumemi. Oh my, these two are so, so dang lovely. They give off the classic prince and princess feeling, chivalry and elegance and sweetness, a staggering blow to my romantic heart. I don't like Munto's midriff-baring red outfit, but his princely (well, kingly actually) garbs are smashing! Also, Suzume/Kazuya. These two push my buttons so expertly: the older, protective but not overbearing, loving boyfriend; the guileless, cute, tiny but mature, aware girl who knows what she wants and goes after it, continually surprising people who underestimate her. There is an understanding and a connection between this couple that I so adore, aahh. Or maybe it's all the influence of To Wake by Tripleguess, with this favorite line of mine:
Eyeshield 21: Hiruma/Mamori.
Kuragehime: Kuranosuke/Tsukimi (although I adore Shuu-onii-san, too—a rare instance when I like both love interests—but Kuranosuke wins the girl for me).
Mekakushi no Kuni: Namiki/Kaichou (did we ever get her first name?), Arou/Kanade. This author Tsukuba Sakura does gorgeous, heart-warming stuff.
Howl's Moving Castle (and semi-sequels): Howl/Sophie, Prince Justin/Princess Beatrice.
Chrestomanci series: Christopher/Millie. And Conrad is so lovable.
Working!!: Satou/Yachiyo, Souma/Aoi.
Yan-dere Girlfriend: Reina/Tanaka (the moe, it won't stop!), Shiratori/Hijiri (another cuteness overload!), Mayami/Manager (kill-me-ded awesomeness when they really have a moment!). Oh God, this stuff is so cute that I weep rainbows and so funny that I laugh my lungs out.
Black Lagoon: Rock/Revy (so much, although they're a little scary together), Benny/Jane, and just a bit Chang/Balalaika.
Shaman King: Yoh/Anna (when I first saw this series and this couple way back, I thought it was the most romantic thing ever that they were engaged, hahah).
Trigun: Vash/Meryl, Nick/Millie.
Aria: Akari/Akatsuki, Aika/Al.
Gangsta.: Nick/Alex (oh, how I hope so. There's so much angst ahead for them though, I can tell). Nick and Worrick's hotness can't be denied, whooh. *fans self* These guys give Mamoru Hijikata a run for his money. Speaking of whom, I don't ever want to see Nick and Mamoru in a fight. A deaf swordsman versus a blind one... Dear Lord, the universe would implode! I love the series before it even became a manga. I saw the pictures randomly on Pixiv and followed links to the artist's website. I'm super-excited to know there's a now a full story to go with the gorgeous pics, even if that story can be friggin' depressing sometimes.
Ib: Garry&Ib, future Garry/Ib. They are about the most adorable thing ever, whether as an inter-generational friendship or as a future relationship. Garry is without a doubt one of the sweetest guys in fictional media, and Ib is a girl with a spine of steel, seriously. They warm my heart in every single way. It doesn't hurt that there is a truly massive amount of fan arts for them, most of which beautiful.
