ABOUT: I'm a graduate student and have next to no free time, so I don't have much of a chance to write for fun. That said, I usually keep working on my stories even if they don't appear here in a timely manner.
CURRENTLY WORKING ON: "With Lilies And Laurel They Go," a Harry Potter fic wherein Sirius Black is given a trial in 1981. An unnamed collection of short stories.
FAR ON THE BACKBURNER: "All the Small Things," a Star Wars time-travel adventure.
FORMER NOM-DE-PLUME: Matrixsailorstarknightz (circa 2002-2009).
WHERE THERE IS SPACE, TIME, AND/OR CONTINUA: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Star Trek (II, IV, VI, & XI)
WHERE THERE IS A SEVERE LACK OF SENSE: Dogma, Monty Python and the Life of Brian, Hot Fuzz, Pirate Radio
WHERE THERE IS WAR: Glory, The Steel Helmet, The Great Escape, Gladiator, Inglourious Basterds
ABOUT LAW AND ORDER: Law and Order, L&O: SVU, NCIS, The Wire
ABOUT COWS IN SPACE: Firefly; Star Trek: TOS, TNG, & DS9; Stargate: SG-1
THAT WHICH IS FANTASTIC: Sandman, Lucifer
THAT WHICH IS SUPER: Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman
THINGS THAT ARE LEGITIMATE: The Aeneid (Virgil); Beowulf; Hamlet, King Lear, Titus Andronicus (...); The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald); Mrs. Dalloway (Virginia Woolf); P.G. Wodehouse's work in general; If on a winter's night a traveler (Italo Calvino)
THINGS THAT ARE PART OF POPULAR CULTURE BUT NO LESS WORTHY OF FAVOR: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (J.K. Rowling); The Thrawn Trilogy (Timothy Zahn); Starfighters of Adumar (Aaron Allston); American Gods (Neil Gaiman); Lamb (Christopher Moore); A Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R. Martin)
Light of a Fading Star contains OCs that are as well-rounded as I could write them. Tragic pasts were already available or could be inferred. The story also becomes progressively darker as the plot continues.
READ NOTHING LONG WRITTEN FROM BEFORE 2007 OR ANYTHING SHORT WRITTEN PRIOR TO 2008. That said, people seem to like "Fixing A Hole."
