Author has written 17 stories for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Doctor Who, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera, and Sherlock.
Hello, everyone! This is Miss Singing in the Rain here for your FanFiction forecast. First, a little background info on yours truly. I formerly wrote on the Cartoon Network Star Wars the Clone Wars Fan Fiction site but as they refused to publish the most recent chapters of my story, "The Final Battle", I felt it best to move on. My code name on there was Princess Mia Skylark and I published "The Battle of Glee Anselm", "Death Watch", and my then in-progress work "The Final Battle". As you have probably already gathered I love Star Wars, in addition to Harry Potter, Glee, and Doctor Who. All of these fandoms have had a great impact on my life and all of them can help put a spring in my step and a smile on my face. The main reason I write FanFiction, other than entertainment and enjoyment, is practice. I want to be an author when I grow up and this seems like a good way to get started.
Favorite Things: Reading, Writing, Acting, Dancing, and Singing in the rain.
Favorite Books: Harry Potter of course (Ordered 7, 3, 1, 5, 2, 4, 6); Percy Jackson (Ordered 3, 5, 1, 2, 4); Divergent (1, 2, 3); Hunger Games (1, 3, and 2); Sister Grimm Series (have not finished reading); The Girl Who Owned a City; Uprising; Speak; and Ella Enchanted.
Favorite Movies: Star Wars (Ordered VI/V, IV, I, II, III); Harry Potter (I am ordering them as the movies alone and not compared to the books) Ordered 8, 7, and the rest tied because I loved them all so much; The Dark Knight; The Dark Knight Rises; Batman Begins; Inception; The Avengers; Serenity; Divergent; Captain America; Thor; Vampires Suck; Beauty and the Beast; Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; Despicable Me; Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed; Sherlock Holmes; Mean Girls.
Favorite Plays: I truthfully haven't seen that many but I love the music of Wicked. I do love Annie, Hairspray, Rent, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Singing in the Rain, and the Sound of Music, though I've only seen the film versions (the 25th Anniversary filmed stage performance in the case of Phantom). I am also an avid Starkid fan and adore all their musicals.
Favorite TV Shows: Agent Carter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Star Wars the Clone Wars, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Young Justice, Batman the Animated Series, Firefly, Scooby Doo, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, Glee, The Batman, and Legion of Superheroes.
Favorite Video Games: Batman: Arkham City, Arkham Asylum, Arkham Origins, anything Lego, Just Dance 2 and 3, and the Wii games like Wii Play and Wii Sports.
Favorite Quotes: "Everything you can imagine is real." -Pablo Picasso
"Of course it is happening inside you head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real." -Albus Dumbledore / J.K. Rowling
Things I love About Fan Fiction: People are able to express themselves, be creative, read and write stories for free, get better at writing, and share their ideas with the whole web.
Things I dislike about Fan Fiction: Plagiarism, overly perfect/stereotypical/unreal characters (I don't actually mind them that much as long as the plot's good. However, I prefer realistic characters), people who don't update for lengthy periods of time (as in several months), really good stories/series on hiatus or that are just stopped, stories that restate what happened in the original and the only difference being who says and does certain things (you can change and add to the story in Fan Fiction), people who hold their stories hostage by refusing to update until they get so many reviews, and people who give flames and not constructive criticism or who bully people who write bad stories.
The Ten Commandments of Fan Fiction (taken from here: ):
Thou shalt have no canon but Canon. Thou shalt not confuse fanon with canon. For if thou writest fanfic, thou shalt obey the laws of the universe in which thou writest.
"But what about AUs?" said the Author.
"Thou canst write AUs only if thou dost demonstrate an understanding of Canon," said the Lord God.
"And crossovers?" the Author asked, in the midst of the thunder.
"Crossovers are one of the blessings of the land of Fanfic," the Lord God said. "But a knowledge of Canon precedes them all."
Thou shalt not make thee any Mary-Sues, whether they be in thine own likeness, the likeness of canon characters, nor in any other likeness. Thou shalt not give them improbably long hair, nor exotic names, nor shalt thou make them fairer and smarter and more loveable than all mankind, for probability distortions are anathema unto me. Thou shalt not indulge yourself in them, nor serve them, for they are too perfect, and take the attention away from the other characters. Thou shalt not worship thy characters, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing loving kindness unto to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. (*Again, I actually don't mind Mary-Sues all that much, as long as it's got a good plot. I mean, a lot of the Disney Princesses are sort of Mary-Sues yet I still enjoy Disney movies.*)
Thou shalt not take the name of the Prime Authors in vain, for verily, thou art playing in their sandpit. If thou hatest the way a continuing series hast been written, thou shalt speak softly, and quietly write AUs, not squabble about it in a loud and unseemly fashion. For without the Prime Authors, thou wouldst not have a sandpit to play in, and thus they deserve respect.
Keep the stories free to sanctify them. Make thou no profit upon your labour, for profit is a thing of the land of Copyright and Trademark, and will put you in the power of their Lawyers.
Remember that you were a servant in the land of Copyright and Trademark, and that the LORD your God brought you out there through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the stories free. (*cough* 50 Shades of Grey *cough*)
Thou shalt honor thy fellow authors, as the Lord your God has commanded you; that the days of your writing may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the stories which the Lord your God giveth you.
Thou shalt not insult the intelligence of thy readers. Thou shalt not bore them with info-dumps. Thou shalt resist the urge to explain. For thy readers are at least as intelligent and well-read as thou art, and shouldst not be likened unto a ten-year-old child.
Thou shalt remember that character is plot, and that plot is character.
Thou shalt not steal, moreover thou shalt not plagiarize. For plagiarizing is a sin against Creation and against Me, says the Lord your God. I shalt cast off all plagiarizers and they shall no longer have the name of Author.
"What about ideas?" the Author said.
"I, the Lord your God, am the giver of Ideas." The Lord God Almighty pointed to the daisies in the field. "Every story is different, just as every daisy is different."
"They all look the same to me," the Author muttered.
"However, it is polite to acknowledge your inspirations," the Lord God said.
Thou shalt show and thou shalt not tell, says the Lord your God. For telling dost remove the vividness from the story.
Thou shalt use beta-readers, for thou art not perfect, and fresh eyes can see the flaws that thou hast overlooked. To refuse to use beta-readers is the sin of Pride, for which Lucifer was cast out of Heaven; for even the best and the brightest of Authors dost have need of them.
(P.S. I'm not very religious, I just put it there because it's funny and accurate to me)

Stories I may or may not get around to writing one day:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Slayees (Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Following their subsequent deaths at the hands of the Slayer, the Big Bads of Buffy the Vampire Slayer finds themselves locked in a room with only a TV for entertainment... a TV that only plays the life, and death, of their favorite Slayer.
Desiree the Vampires' Daughter (Buffy the Vampire Slayer): 1893 Persian Potential Desiree dreams of the day she becomes the Slayer... only to catch the eye of William the Bloody and his beloved Sire Drusilla on his quest to find and kill a Slayer.
Cleaner, Bigger Secret (Batman: The Arkham Knight): After being separated from her brother, Mary Noble finds herself, once again, in the midst Gotham City tearing itself apart. Only now, she's not alone. And now, she can fight back.
Little Bird (Young Justice): The Light kept plenty of dirty little secrets, including a small, shy, eleven year old girl, alone and next to forgotten in the depths of Cadmus. But even after the Team frees her, can she truly be free of the Light?
Stories up for adoption (PM me for outline/what I have so far):
Destiny a Power That Is (Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Much like the First Evil, Destiny is an incorporeal Power That Is.
The Inmates are Running the Asylum Now (The Batman: Arkham Games Saga)
Meli (The Dark Knight Rises): Meli was just a young mother trying to make ends meet. It's not like she expected to get caught up in a conspiracy that threatened a few million lives.
Princess Avengers (Disney and the Avengers): What would happen
The Shadow Girl (Batman the Animated Series):

Mary Iris Noble (Dirty Little Secrets):

Psychological Profile (by Dr. Jeremiah Arkham)
Name: Mary Iris Noble. Age at internment: six years old. Family: Father – Richard Noble, Mother – Patience Noble, Brother – Justin Noble. Patient suffers from: spells of hallucinations, mental instability, sociopathic tendencies, self-control disorder, and possibly schizophrenia. Warning: Has bitten and/or scratched two doctors to date.
Patient suffers from a form of mental illness the likes I have never come across. The patient appears to be completely normal and sane upon first glance but a few sessions later I have come to the conclusion that she is anything but. For a girl of merely six she extremely literate and well spoken, capable of reading middle and high school level material with ease, solving basic algebra and geometry problems, as well as picking up on everything from psychics to psychology… she also disturbs me. It is as though she is able to look into the minds of others just by looking into their eyes. She… knows things. Things that only I have known. My special patients I personally attend to… my relationship with Alyce… my fears about my own mental health… the true nature of my uncle… I am beginning to see why her parents donated so generously to the Asylum after incarcerating her within its walls.
Her ‘spells’ appear to come irregularly and without much warning.
She is very observant and prefers to bite those who believe she is lying about what she sees.
Very observant and good at discovering secrets, especially those that were always meant to be hidden.
SHE IS TO NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY AGAIN.
Anastasia Andreyv (Escape From Arkham City):
Appearance: Dark red hair, pale, tall, thin, early forties (Carla Gugino in Sucker Punch).
Profession: Madame of Gotham's Underworld and former prostitute.
Style: Leather, corsets, stiletto heels, boots, long flowing skirts.
Girls: Lucy (Emily Browning in Sucker Punch), Jeannie AKA the Joker girl (Julia Stiles), Gilda AKA the girl in the black suit (Lana Parilla), Grace AKA the girl in the white suit (Jennifer Morrison), Alice AKA the girl in the Alice costume (Mia Wasikowska), Chase AKA the Riddler girl (Nicole Kidman), Veronica AKA the Penguin (Karen Gillian).
Strengths: Has ties with almost all of Gotham's major criminals, skilled in seduction as well as many forms of weaponry and hand to hand combat.
Weaknesses: Dependence on drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes can prove problematic when cut off in a place like Arkham City where resources are hard to come by. Her loyalty to her girls can also make her reckless if provoked.
Valentine (The Maid of the Populaire):
Appearance: Red hair, pale, thin, mid to late twenties, scars across her face (played by Laura Osnes)
Profession: Maid, Artist
Other Maids: Lorraine (Lesley Nicol), Nicole (Samantha Barks), Bridgette (Heather Morris), Bernadette (Brittany Snow)
Strengths: Courage, Artistic
Weaknesses: Naivety, cigarettes, drug use, clumsiness, self-depreciation, weirdness, cool loser.
That's all you really need know about me and my characters and stories for the time being. Until then, Miss Singing in the Rain bids adieu, adieu, to you, and you, and you. Goodbye!
